Approaching the base of the massive cross, Chu Feng retrieved the Four Symbols Spirit Trapping Formation from his Storage Space, where he had stored it before setting off.

Just as he was about to toss the Array Plate into the sky, his brow furrowed suddenly as he rembered sothing.

No, the Array Plate’s coverage is only a one-kiloter radius. It can’t cover the entire town!

Shaking his head, he returned the Array Plate to his Storage Space.

Looking at the gloomy town before him, Chu Feng used his Spiritual Perception to assess his surroundings, then reconsidered the step he was about to take.

He changed direction swiftly and walked to the bottom of the huge cross to take a closer look.

Just as I thought! I knew this demon wouldn’t just stay put here.

Muttering to himself, Chu Feng could already see clear signs of corrosion at the base of the large cross.

If left unattended, he believed that, before long, the demon inside would break free from its seal.

It was a pity that "the Lord," as proclaid by the Holy See, wouldn’t grant soone faithless like him the opportunity to wield Holy Power. Otherwise, he might have tried to repair it.

Chu Feng shook his head, stood up, pulled out his phone, took a photo of the base of the cross, and sent it to Bishop Connell.

Okay, I’ve fulfilled my basic duty of notification. The rest is up to them.

Without waiting for a reply, Chu Feng stepped forth and entered Mar Town.

Hmm? Not coming for ?

Chu Feng, who had been prepared, braced himself for an attack the mont he entered the town.

Yet after being on guard for so long, not even a Bizarre shadow appeared.

Chu Feng looked around suspiciously, only finally understanding when he saw the Holy Power barrier behind him.

Are they planning to wait until I’m deeper into the town before making a move?

This demon is sowhat clever. Chu Feng beca even more vigilant.

With a shotgun in hand, he walked down the town’s central street, ready at any mont to draw his Demon Hunting Blade for a surprise attack.

On the deserted street, only the occasional howl of the cold wind could be heard, and crimson bloodstains were sotis visible on the houses flanking the road.

As for the expected Bizarre phenona, they were nowhere to be found.

As Chu Feng slowly advanced towards the center of the town, the black mist that had originally shrouded the town above began to undulate continuously, quickly subrging the road by which he had co.

Feeling the guidance of the Spatial Anchor he had already cast, Chu Feng inwardly scoffed at the demon’s futile little tricks.

With the Spatial Anchor, Chu Feng no longer had to worry about getting lost.

After an indeterminate length of ti, an unusual building finally appeared before his eyes: an old-fashioned church made of red bricks, ancient in design.

The church looked many years old, its exterior thoroughly marked by the passage of ti.

This... is this the small church at the center of Mar Town?

According to Bishop Connell, the Gate of Breaking Boundary was supposed to be located behind this church.

Chu Feng involuntarily walked through the church’s main doors, wanting to see what was inside.

"This..."

As soon as he entered, Chu Feng was shocked by the scene before him.

Inside the church, the pews were gone. In their place were countless bloodstained corpses of the faithful.

Chu Feng scanned the area from the entrance and then looked towards the altar at the far end. His pupils shrank instantly as he saw it clearly.

On the altar, the cross above had been turned 180 degrees, now standing inverted.

An inverted cross?

Chu Feng stroked his chin, not understanding why the "Lord" in the heavens wouldn’t co down to deal with this presumptuous demon.

Just as Chu Feng’s guard had sowhat relaxed, a muscular brute with a pair of goat horns on his head abruptly appeared in front of him.

With a loud BOOM, a layer of golden light suddenly enveloped Chu Feng’s body, and the imnse force hurled him out of the church.

"Exorcist Chu Feng, it seems you were well-prepared!" the demon declared.

He unfolded a pair of bat wings and flew out of the church. Barefoot, he landed gently on the ground. His crimson eyes fixed intently on Chu Feng in the middle of the road as he spoke in a deep voice.

Hearing the demon’s voice, reminiscent of muffled thunder, Chu Feng chuckled softly.

"To deal with a demon that’s co all the way from Hell, I naturally wouldn’t be careless!"

Observing the demon before him, his body a mass of coiling, bulging muscles, Chu Feng gently rotated his wrist.

So, this demon prefers close-quarters combat.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

After the three deafening gunshots, Chu Feng instantly stowed away the shotgun.

His hands, glowing with golden light, pressed directly in front of his chest, firmly blocking the demon’s thunderous punch.

The demon, whose punch had missed, narrowed his eyes slightly and, in an instant, returned to midair, flapping his two hideous, gigantic bat wings.

"It seems the rumors from Hell aren’t false. Your strength is indeed remarkable!"

"To think that demons from Hell would even pay attention to , a re human. What an honor indeed!"

Chu Feng tilted his head slightly to look at the demon in midair, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

"You call yourself ordinary?" the demon, having suddenly appeared behind Chu Feng, launched a punch and spoke playfully.

Forewarned by his Spatial Perception, Chu Feng sidestepped the sudden punch and leaped to the other side.

"Despicable creature, you have no honor in combat!"

"In battle, one must use every thod at their disposal! How would a lowly human like you understand," the demon, now above Chu Feng’s head again, retorted while kicking down fiercely.

Chu Feng naturally didn’t stand there waiting to be kicked. He lightly leaped ten ters away.

BOOM!

The spot where Chu Feng had been standing was now a large pit, over a ter in diater, created by the demon’s kick.

Looking at the round pit on the ground, Chu Feng felt a chill. This demon’s strength is truly significant.

If I hadn’t just broken through to First Rank, I might not have been able to withstand even a casual strike from him.

"You dodge quite swiftly! No wonder so demons call you humans ’agile rabbits’! This is indeed a bit troubleso."

The demon re-erged from the dust, brushing himself off with an irritated look.

"Alright, since that’s the case, I’ll let you play with them first. Once you can’t run anymore, I’ll co and deal with you!"

Having said that, the demon hovering in midair waved his hand and then disappeared.

The instant the muscular demon vanished, a multitude of Bizarre figures slowly erged from the distant dark fog, surrounding Chu Feng’s position.

Chu Feng looked at the countless Bizarre figures before him, montarily speechless. The emotions in his eyes were extrely complex.

So, the muscular demon probably wants to use these Bizarre creatures to exhaust my physical strength and Spiritual Power, making it easier to take down in the end.

Too bad for him, he doesn’t know I have a system!

"Heh, looks like I should thank nature for this generous gift!"
