They've cleaned it so thoroughly?

Looking at the room before him, which could be described as a bare shell, Chu Feng raised an eyebrow in surprise. To go to such lengths just to erase a person's existence!

With a premonition, Chu Feng turned to look behind him, toward the room of Jas's younger son.

With a faint CLICK, the pale-yellow wooden door slowly swung open, revealing another room stripped bare.

Two rooms that were supposed to be exquisitely decorated now looked like this.

Chu Feng gained a little more understanding of the unknown entity, whose whereabouts remained a mystery. To erase all traces of a person, the entity had likely obliterated almost the entire house!

Looking at the empty room, Chu Feng shook his head helplessly.

He walked downstairs, intending to look for clues elsewhere, but his gaze was suddenly drawn to the light in the dining room.

That's not right! If the bedrooms could be cleaned so ticulously, why was this place left untouched?

With doubt in his heart, he approached the brightly lit dining room again.

The sll of decay still assaulted Chu Feng's nostrils, but his expression remained unchanged.

As Chu Feng stepped into the small dining room for the first ti, an extrely concealed energy fluctuation finally registered in his perception.

He lifted the tablecloth from the head of the dining table. A fist-sized, rather battered piece of wood instantly t his eyes.

Seeing the charred marks on it, Chu Feng was montarily stunned.

This dilapidated piece of wood looks so much like sothing I saw from afar before.

But where did the incredibly dense Holy Power that should be on it go?

And, if I recall correctly, this thing should be in a secret base in so state right now. How did it get here?

Reaching down, he picked up the piece of wood. A transparent sample bag was revealed underneath.

This is...

Seeing the few strands of hair in the sample bag, Chu Feng's eyes lit up.

I have to say, Jas can be quite clever sotis!

Regardless of where this relic of The Holy See ca from, or how it ended up in this state, the most important thing is that what I need to break this stalemate has finally appeared!

As he held the sample bag, about to take out the hair, a familiar Strength suddenly registered in his senses.

Such sharp perception!

Just as he was about to unleash True Yuan to annihilate that Strength, the charred piece of wood abruptly erupted in dazzling white light.

Familiar Holy Power reverberated through the dining room, instantly cleansing away that Strength.

So that's how it is! I was wondering how this place was preserved so well. Turns out it was all your doing!

Looking at the piece of wood in his hand, which had beco further charred, Chu Feng nodded with understanding and casually put it into his Storage Space.

With his hand now free, his gaze turned to the sample bag. Jas's location and the source of that unknown power... it's all in here!

He opened the sample bag, took out the few strands of hair, and placed them in his palm.

As an icon on the system panel lit up, the strands of hair vanished without a trace.

At the sa ti, an ethereal cursor appeared in Chu Feng's mind.

The cursor flickered erratically, unstable, as if affected by so unknown power.

Casually swatting away the power that assailed him again, Chu Feng gazed through the window at the distant horizon, a cold glint in his eyes.

It seems my Top-Grade Spiritual Root is about to be one step closer!

「...」

Within a pervasive fog stood a house, silent and identical in every detail to the one Chu Feng had just left.

Jas stood by the window on the second floor, gently stroking his daughter's hair with his emaciated hand.

The little girl looked out at the fog, her eyes clouded with confusion. "Daddy," she asked, for what felt like the hundredth ti, "can Mr. Chu Feng find us before the world completely forgets we exist?"

"I believe in him. He always creates miracles!"

"Then... can he bring Mom and little brother back?" Her voice was cautious, tinged with a desperate hope.

Jas paused, taken aback by his daughter's question. His fingers trembled slightly, a flicker of pain in his eyes.

"He can! He definitely can!"

Hearing her father's trembling response, the little girl slowly lowered her head and said no more.

Her little brother had been the first to disappear. One mont he was in her arms, the next he had suddenly crumbled into a pile of ghastly white ashes.

She only rembered that ti seed to crawl that day, as if soone had physically stopped the clock's hands.

Her brother's agonized screams before he turned to ash still echoed in her ears.

That nightmarish scene replayed in her dreams every night, threatening to drag her into a bottomless abyss.

If her parents hadn't been there, constantly comforting her, she might have completely shattered.

As the days passed, she had slowly begun to erge from the shadow of that horrifying day.

The nightmares that had plagued her nightly gradually faded.

But then, just as she thought she was healing, the familiar horror returned.

It happened one day, in this house that felt both familiar and alien.

Their family of three was quietly eating the al that mysteriously appeared each evening.

A muffled groan from her mother suddenly shattered the silence in the dining room.

"'Quick... Jas, quickly! Take our daughter and get out of here!'"

Her mother's agonized cry instantly brought back the mory of that scene, seared deep into her mind.

Her father's anguished shouts still seed to ring in her ears.

When she ca out of her room again, her mother was gone.

Only the ghastly white ashes in the crevices of a dining chair proved she had ever been there.

Her father was slumped on the floor, weeping silently, a handful of ghastly white ashes beside his hand.

In that instant, it felt as though she had grown up.

She walked over silently, leaned her small body against her father, and held his head in her arms, saying nothing for a long, long ti.

A family of four, and now only the two of them remained.

In the dim mist, a bizarre street had ford, with houses of various styles—so clear, so hazy—crudely stitched together.

Seeing a nearby house suddenly crumble to dust, Jas couldn't help but pull his daughter tighter.

The girl, her view obstructed by her father, seed to sense what happened. Her body trembled slightly as she asked in a muffled voice, "Daddy, did another family's ho just disappear completely?"

"Mm," Jas replied softly, not trying to hide it.

The little girl said nothing more, only tightening her hold on Jas.

After a long silence, the girl's muffled voice spoke again.

"Daddy, I'm tired!"

"Daddy will take you to rest. Maybe, when you open your eyes again, we'll be out of this place!"

「...」

Transford into a streak of rainbow light, Chu Feng shot across the sky, following the cursor in his mind southwest.

In re monts, he had crossed most of the Arican continent and arrived in another world.
