After the end of the day, Papa Cao left the company for ho. He felt relieved that everything today went within his expectation. He knew he made the right choice in adopting A-Xuan. After kissing his wife, he went to his office.

When he ca in, he imdiately saw papers on his desk. He scrunched his eyebrows. He knew for sure he didn’t leave papers this morning, and no one is allowed to enter his office without his permission, except the cleaning staff.

He walked to the desk and picked up the paper. After reading just the title of the docunt, his face imdiately blanched. He started to flip the pages at the speed of light until he reached the last page and saw a na signed.

The na Cao Jun Xuan was written very clearly. Papa Cao staggered back a few steps and fell on the seat behind him. He put down the papers and covered his face with his hands.

After a few minutes, he put them down and looked at the papers in shock. He saw in the corner of his desk a note.

He picked it up and read it:

"Father, by the ti you read this, I’ll be gone. I signed the papers to give you back the share of Cao Empire you gave . After today’s eting, I realized that you only care about because of what I bring to the company. It beca clear when you said that nothing would change, only the title, and that I would still be doing the sa things I was doing before. I’ve been working at the company ever since I was a kid. While Yunchen was out making friends and having fun, I was sitting behind a desk working hard to please you. I made the company millions while Yunchen made it lose millions, and you chose him as the heir. Do you think that I would sit by and just accept it? I’ve been working for a few months on sothing that I wanted to give you, a new technology patented that I created under another company that was sure to make Cao Empire millions and make it reach the top, but you don’t deserve it. This will be the last ti I call you father. Goodbye."

Papa Cao put down his trembling hands, feeling speechless. His son, who would accept everything without saying a word, left and even renounced his heritage. This ans he’s serious and won’t co back.

I need to get him back, or the company will be dood. He even said that he created a technology that would put Cao Empire at the top, knowing A-Xuan it should be sothing incredible.

He thinks I love Yunchen more than him, then I’ll just prove to him that it’s not true. I’ll just need to coax him a little, and he’ll co back for sure.

I’ll put him as the heir of the company until he signs the rights of the technology away he created, and then I’ll put Yunchen back.

Since A-Xuan patented it, it ans that the company doesn’t own it, and between that company and him, he’s sure A-Xuan will choose him. He knows the shareholders will agree since they’re sure to make millions.

Papa Cao called Yunchen and told him the plan. They’ll just put A-Xuan as the heir until they get a hold of the new technology he created, and then they’ll fire him. They just need to indulge him a little, and after that, they won’t need him anymore.

Hearing that, Yunchen was extrely happy. He finally realized that his father never cared about A-Xuan and that it was all about business. He will gladly play along then.

A-Xuan passed the day very peacefully. He decided to stay in and watch TV. He didn’t receive any calls or texts, or maybe he did, who knows. He turned his cellphone off so he wouldn’t be bombarded by Papa Cao’s calls.

He checked the cara in his office and listened to his conversation with Yunchen. Before he went to bed, he released the news that he was the owner of Xuan Tech and that he was adopted.

Before Yunchen could release a sigh of relief for evading the vase thrown his way, he got hit in the head by a stapler. Papa Cao sat back, breathing heavily, his eyes were bloodshot, and his face red.

He asked angrily:

"Are you the one who released the news that he was adopted?"

Yunchen put a hand on his forehead and felt sothing wet. He looked at his hand and saw blood.

He looked up at his father in fear and said:

"No, Father, I swear I didn’t. We had a plan, why would I sabotage it by releasing this information?"

Papa Cao looked at him intently, and when he saw he was telling the truth, he cald down. He said resolutely:

"We need to get him back by any ans possible. A-Xuan owns Xuan Tech, he’s the one who created all those incredible high-end tech products. If we rge the two companies, we’ll be able to use his technology on our products. While Xuan Tech would cater to the high-end market, Cao Empire would cater to the rest. With that, we’re sure to make millions, since we would both reach and control two different parts of the market. Furthermore, it would an that we would have Wu Corporation as a partner again."

Yunchen asked hesitantly:

"Then does that an you won’t chase him away after?"

Papa Cao sneered and said:

"Calm down, you’ll still be the one ruling Cao Empire as the heir, while I’ll let him be in charge of Xuan Tech."

Papa Cao looked at his disappointing son. Even now, all he cares about is getting rid of A-Xuan, even when we have this opportunity to make Cao Empire bigger.

In the note, A-Xuan said that he worked at the company and created the technology to help Cao Empire, which ans he planned on giving it to him. He changed his mind when the heir was changed.

But it’s an easy fix, I’ll just need to coax him a little and shed a few tears, and then Xuan Tech will be mine. Papa Cao smiled maliciously as he made a phone call to a private detective.
