Ignoring the utterly baffled and lost Morgan, Alan ran up the gangplank, followed by Julia, Lucian, and Iris.

While Felix was passing by the still-standing Morgan, he lightly patted the poor man on the shoulder and stepped onto the platform.

Alan saw many of his crewmates grinning and laughing at him as he boarded the ship.

Not that Alan didn’t understand, he himself thought he put up quite the performance just monts earlier, although he may have thrown an innocent man’s reputation into the dirt and stomped on it, what could he do?

The ship’s interior was a fascinating sight, the wooden floorboards stretched long, their surfaces worn smooth, unlike the chaotic bustle of the city docks, the deck of the Kestrel felt like a clean ho.

In the center of the deck was a large carriage that was being dismantled with surprising speed, and the entire ship was filled with activity.

"Watch your step, blindy." A pirate grunted, sliding a barrel past Alan.

There were crew mbers carrying crates and barrels across the deck, while so inspected the condition of the ship and others prepared the cannons placed on the side of the ship.

Alan stepped back, leaning against the railing, feeling the subtle, rhythmic vibration of the hull as the waves slapped against the exterior of the vessel.

Despite the rough-looking crew and the heavy sll of gunpowder and salt, there was a strange appeal to this place.

This was Alan’s first ti stepping onto a boat, not just in this life, even from his past life, he never boarded a ship.

A large factor was the fact technologies were so advanced during his era that travelling across to different countries or places via aerial transport was just faster and much more convenient.

The other reason was that he couldn’t swim, if it ca down to stepping a foot in water, Alan would perform worse than a five-year-old child.

Still, he overca his minor fear of traveling on ships across the ocean... or rather, he didn’t think about it until stepping onto the deck.

To distract himself and avoid revealing his true feelings to others, Alan nonchalantly leaned into the railing behind him, turning his gaze to the side.

He watched the gangplank being finally withdrawn back to the ship as Morgan finally snapped out of his trance and got to work.

Tap Tap

Everyone finally boarded the ship, stepping through the deck and earning everyone’s stares, was Felix, the traveling rchant.

Tap Tap

A different set of footsteps echoed in the now silent deck, everyone turned towards the figure, even Alan.

’She’s strong.’ Alan noted to himself.

From everyone Alan had seen thus far, not that many amongst the crew were particularly outstanding, sure, they weren’t weak, but at the sa ti they weren’t strong to the point Alan couldn’t handle it.

But the woman that just arrived was different, Alan’s intuition fired off in his head the mont he saw her, sothing not many people could do.

Her hair was a beautiful, srising shade of blue, a deep ocean hue, paired along with sharp, predatory hazel eyes that locked onto Felix.

When Alan caught sight of the hat placed on the woman’s head, it made sense, it was the very captain of the ship, Kestrel, if he wasn’t wrong.

Although Alan absolutely recognized her strength, her presence wasn’t the most suffocating.

Alan’s eyes slowly drifted else where.

To the most random spot imaginable, hung over the staircase railing like a piece of cloth left to dry, was a man whose face Alan couldn’t see.

But his body was well built with muscle and had a dark skin tone, his arms and visible areas of his figure were riddled with scars.

Despite the absolute absurd position the man was currently asleep in, his sheer presence was overwhelming, a type of presence that made Alan’s instincts run wild, a feat only those at the level of Gavin could accomplish.

Alan didn’t even have to think twice to understand that man was the strongest among the entire crew.

Looking to his side, Alan saw Lucian, Julia, and Iris, who arrived at so point in ti, looking in the sa direction he was just monts before, likely coming to the sa conclusion as he did.

While the group was accessing the strength of the crew, Kestrel and Felix stood face to face.

Kestrel didn’t move, she was there with her arms crossed, scanning Felix head to toe.

In return, Felix just smiled lightly, tilting the fedora on his head.

"So you’re Felix." She said in a low voice and narrowed eyes. "The one who bought out all the passes on my ship?"

"He bought out all the tickets...?" Alan raised a brow.

If he purchased all the tickets... then why did Felix only hand over the tickets specifically ant for female servants?

"That’s ." Felix nodded calmly, affirming her words.

"Why did you do that?" She frowned.

This ti Felix’s expression changed, for a split second Alan caught the stiffness in his smile before it disappeared.

"Let’s just say..." Felix’s smile widened. "It was necessary."

Kestrel held his gaze for a while longer before letting out a small sigh, relaxing her previously stern expression.

"I don’t care as long as you don’t cause trouble." She said, raising her head to look at where Alan was. "And those are your supposed servants?"

"Correct." Felix said, following his words, Alan smiled and nodded.

"Right..." Kestrel scoffed. "You could’ve just handed them one of your many tickets, why resort to such things?"

"Well, it’s funnier."

"You certainly have a sense of humour." Kestrel smiled softly.
