Chapter 250: A little while before the war
Levon sat on his knee in front of Huemac who held a stick in his hand and continued to hit Levon has he interrogated him.
"So you were born over eight hundred years ago...a stone deity, in order words you are in a way like "
"Yes sir" Levon ekly replied, regretting his decision.
"Do you rember ?"
"Vaguely sir"
Huemac stared at him and then the remaining two, he stood up,
"Let’s go" he said.
"Go to where?" Levon asked.
Huemac raised the stick up.
"Are you questioning ?"
"No sir" he replied, imdiately standing up and following Huemac, so did Mos and Twen.
"Ohyah, are we leaving now?" Godeye asked.
"Yes, I have to find my altar and the rest of my fragnts, plus that bastard just gave us more work to do" he said.
"Who would have thought, that deities are being born again..." Godeye said.
"Yea, at this rate, a deity might be born sowhere we have no idea about and end up in the hands of a wrong person, which is also why I’ll be taking a long ti"
"Hmmm" Godeye sighed and looked back towards where Reinard was resting.
Huemac, Godeye, Levon, Mos and Twen all left the dwarven kingdom, while Twen kept looking like he was going to cry as he dare not speak with the aura that Huemac carried about.
After so days, Rein and the rest got ready to leave, but leaving Katherine and Ceredic and also going with so dwarven builders and blacksmith, Rein managed to instill in their mind that they exist to serve him as they felt very grateful for him sparing them.
Returning to Fenrir did take a long journey as he didn’t want to wear out Cloud because of the amount of minerals he has been storing and processing. In eleven days of travel Rein arrived at Fenrir capital city.
Blake ran into Yhuzia’s office,
"Master Rein is back!"
"Ahh, he is uh" Yhuzia drowsily said with eyebags under his eyes.
Just then the communication orb ca on.
"Lord Yhuzia!! We have been attacked!! We have been–" The communication orb went off before the statent could be completed.
Yhuzia straightened up,
"What the hell is that?" He said.
Rein entered and gently sat in front of him, looking like a person that had been caught in a wrong act.
"You went against our agreent" Yhuzia said.
"A lot of things ca up you see..." Rein said with a little smile.
"Arnette’s n from Trachia just contacted , it seems that place has been collected again, I don’t want stress, please can you go and solve it, you are the leader afterall" he said.
"If I collect Trachia back, then we are even?"
"Well you have get to the root of whatever happened with Trachia and it seems the Forgan empire is also on the move, our spy have seen them rallying their soldiers, at this rate we might not even enter the unification stage before the war begins. And what were you expecting when you told
to build a whole broken kingdom, yea it is good you left alot of resources but we are already running out on money, yes their land is a very good land for producing Purple Faret which can only be gotten in the northern continent, with the amount that went into their infrastructure and rebuilding, we don’t have anything left to cultivate purple faret with or to even continue to feed the people. I don’t even know how that place will be under the jurisdiction of our empire because it is so far away, you caused all this! I have more on my hands than I can bear right now and the only thing that can solve it is massive money, we’ve not had a glimpse of Duke Erin for weeks now!–
"I have money" Rein said, shutting up Yhuzia.
"How much?"
"Very much, where is the largest storage here?" Rein asked.
Yhuzia jumped to his feet, "oh, Sir Rein let
shoe you the way" he said and led Rein to an underground room very long as though it was a hall.
"Cloud" Rein called and a dark cloud appeared and ford into a cat.
"You can bring out all the treasures in you now" Rein said.
Imdiately the cat opened its mouth and golden treasures, bars, coins, treasures in all forms began to pour, it continued to pour.
"It’ll probably take a while" Rein said and left Yhuzia, who’s mouth was wide open.
Trachia was the outskirts of Selsmire and was a very important city that was that point every market structure coincides. Which is why many kingdoms fought for that territory but with the backing of the Empire, Selsmire was able to have it, however the neighbouring kingdom on the far northern side of the city lowly laid and awaited for their perfect opportunity to seize the land for themselves, just when they thought they could, a group of strangers attacked the soldiers Arnette placed on watch and took control of the city.
In the governor’s castle,
A scout soldier ca running inside the castle with a large box in his hands and stains of blood all over his body. His uniform was that of the guild bureau.
"What is happening?" Aron the general that led the soldiers and took Trachia city said and collected the box. He opened it only to fall down in despair.
His subordinates stepped forward to also see, they were also shocked because in the box was the head of all the guild bureau leaders.
One of his subordinates took the letter covered in blood and read it aloud.
"I really hate to beat around the Bush and I don’t have a lot of ti on my hands either, I didn’t intend to kill them, they kind of acted out of hand and my comrades got pissed, leave Trachia real quick or better still, serve . Yours sincerely Reinard" he finished reading and dropped the letter. "Lord Aron this man must be crazy!"
"No matter how crazy he is, he killed the first seat...that guy I always thought was a monster on his own, and was undefeatable, his head is laying in a box right now" Aron shakingly said.
"What do we do lord Aron?" The subordinates asked.
"We will end up dying either ways, if we leave the Forgan empire will hunt us, if we stay we might be obliterated, it is better to stay till the end and fight with honor." He said.
"We trust and will follow your decision" they all said with their heads bowed.
~Booooommm~
A loud sound was heard, all the soldiers ca out to the centre of the city where the sound ca from. As the dust smoke cleared they saw two individuals cladded in armours, one red and one black, the black one holding a black rod and the red one holding a red long and huge sword.
"Identify yourself?!" One of the generals said. But they were given no response.
As the general moved closer, the red Knight swung its sword sharply, and faster than the eyes could follow. The head of that general flew into the air and landed on the floor I’m front of other soldiers.
They all yelled and began to attack.
This day, a thousand soldiers owned by the guild bureau was abolished by just two knights. Not to say they had cremated the guild bureau headquarter prior to this event.
With this, things got really serious on the western continent, kingdoms began to keep their peace and didn’t want to get involved with what was going on. Amidst all this they were still events that shook the world, such as the peaceful unification of three kingdoms that give rise to the fourth empire in the continent. With four empires in the continent the balance of things really shifted. Rein was shocked by the news in as much as he saw the unification as a process as him building himself and building an army in order to face the empire, he was sowhat surprised that an empire rose amidst all that was going on.
Months slowly passed and the Forgan empire slowly beca impatient and began to move but slowly, while the unification process was ending and the formation day drew nigh.
Rein stood in the newly constructed Palatium and stared and the red throne seat that stood alone in the middle of the large heavily designed hall, he looked around, he could almost hear the breathe of his echo.
’Yhuzia really made good use of the resources’
He walked closer to seat, just then Jon ca in, it took a while for Jon to reach where he was standing.
"Are you ready to bear the responsibility that seat offers" Jon said.
Rein looked at the seat and smiled at Jon, "In my heart I feel discomfort."
"Why ? Are you unsatisfied with the design?" Jon asked.
"It is perfect" Rein replied, "but I can’t help but feel that there’s sothing more, there’s a feeling that the seat is belittling the responsibility I’m to bear, like I’m settling for less...I guess it’s just sothing I have to resolve..." Rein said.
Jon smiled, "Well what was I expecting, it has always been different with you, from the academy days till now, I can’t believe we are about to go to a full ti war with the forgan empire."
"You should save all your loved ones while we are at it, I don’t know if the Emperor is the type to surrender but I do know that this war will not be easy"
"Don’t worry, I have plans to save all our people...and the Emperor, it might be left to you who might have to defeat him, are you sure you can do it when that ti cos" Jon asked.
Rein smiled, "...we’ll see out it goes, you guys enjoy yourself out there, when will it be starting?" He asked.
"Wait, I don’t quite get you?" Jon was shocked to hear what Rein just said. "Do you an you will not be fighting with us, the people need that icon, they need soone to fight alongside them" Jon said.
"Of course" Rein replied, "I released, Bel, Ben, the red Knight and even Pika to fight on my behalf, Bel and Ben alone can make up for my absence, while you all fight there is sothing I must do" he said.
"Those new guys you brought from your journey, that destroyed Trachia, they are like monsters with no reasoning."
"Bel has reasoning, you just have to be able to communicate with him, and Bel is the one that dies the communicating with the red Knight, I still have no idea how he got her to fight with him" he said.
Jon sighed, "it’d be useless talking to you, so what do you want to do while we are fighting" Jon asked.
"Ariel and I have to build altar of ariel, and I also have to find out about my class" he said.
"I see...so when will you be returning" Jon asked
"When most you need " Rein said and entered into a dark cloud that ford behind him.
Jon looked around and sighed.
"It’s a long road ahead, don’t let
get worked up at the beginning" he said and walked out.
