Chapter 106: Chapter 105: A Strong Man

"He’s been asleep for the past five days, the war must have worn him out, but his strong, I’ve never seen a fractured bone like that the fact that he’s still alive is a miracle on its own, the pieces of the broken bone as affected his veins and arteries around the leg area making it hard for blood to reach there, he might not be able to walk for the rest of his let’s not talk fight."

Hlofgar stood still with both his hands at his back as he listened to the doctor.

"All healing operations have proved futile, we could try to perform a surgery on him but the chances are below 5%, besides the surgery would not yield a different result, I’m sorry sir"

He raised one hand, the doctor bowed and left the room. He sighed and looked at Rein who was still very much asleep, "beast will uh, how powerful was it that it put him in this state" soone appeared behind Hlofgar out of thin air, "according to the words of the northern student, he said the beast form could go up toe to toe with the school principal if Rein could maintain it for an hour."

"What insolence, spewing such nonsense..."

"he still stood his ground even after we disciplined him for disrespecting the principal, he was saying it wasn’t a disrespect, it was just how powerful the beast form is"

"Did the principal hear of this?"

"We made sure it didn’t get to him, but it’ll probably be useless since he’s got his on eyes and ears all over the academy"

"hmm... even on your sickbed you are causing much trouble"

"aren’t you sad sir, he had such a powerful prospect, he would have turned out to be the greatest under your guidance."

"This is nothing but an obstacle for Reinard to overco to be stronger" as Hlofgar spoke, the guard saw an unshaken conviction on his face.

"What makes you so sure vice principal?"

".... I don’t know, I just feel he will probably surprise us again"

"ahhh that reminds , I should report this"

"...what?" The hunting rate of his beast has trendously increased, all it does is a hunt in dungeons after dungeons"

"hmm... is it perhaps taking out its anger on the poor monsters"

"seems so, since they both share a deep bond"

"well I should leave now, stay around and report any anomalies to "

"Yes sir" the guard bowed his head as Hlofgar left and disappeared into thin air again.

*******

After a week of arrival result of the second test was announced and privileges were issued to the ones with the greatest contribution. The first of course was the Redmoon party, they were promoted two ranks ahead and given the privilege to keep the soldiers, they were allowed to go out of the academy on military duties and there was a special one-day training with a mber of the union. Everyone was in awe, the celebrity of the academy was the unions however they were not the type to co around easily, yet the news was circulating that a mber of the union has been in the school since they were at war with the Fangdorr, the school was organized than usual and the instructors were more strict than before, everyone passed the test except so few recorded deaths like Kroft and the students that were careless during the war with the Fangdorrs and orcs, classes continued as expected and everything returned to normal as though nothing had happened.

******

Jon found it hard to accept what the person in front of him was saying so asked again, "what? what do you an?"

"I want to join the Redmoon party"

"But I thought you were an important mber of the Ervale"

"...was I? I only joined on a symbiotic term and it was temporary".

Jon was dumbfounded and lost for words as he looked at Arnette who seed to be serious about wanting to join the Redmoon party.

Arnette after the test was over had approached Neza,

"I’ll leave your party"

"...I was guessing so"

"I was not impressed" He turned and left Neza’s front who was glaring at him with so much anger, ’thank you for making it easier for

to kill you’

Thus he waited till everything had settled and reached out to the Redmoon party, it wasn’t just him, the demands to join the party was increasing, especially weaklings there were so few strong individuals that Jon never thought they were going to get so strong, but he had not accepted any of the applications, no did he plan to treat Arnette with favours of any kind.

"why? why do you wanna join us? You do know our leader might not be able to walk again..." Jon shook as he was trying so much to hold in his anger.

"I want to believe he will..."

"Why would you do that, even his party mbers are giving up on him"

"Well let’s just say I have sothing that lets

see it"

"Whatever... it is not in my place to determine if you will be accepted, just like I said wait till the party leader’s recovery. Often when Jon gave this reply there was a strong disappointnt in the face of the applicants, it was easy to tell everyone was probably trying to join because of the one-day training with the union mber, but he felt Arnette wouldn’t stoop so low, he knows of the prestige of the Belmont family and Arnette was a pure-blood Belmont.

Arnette’s face did not show any disappointnt instead he looked more refresh and confident he would get accepted, he stood up and left. Braschiold ca in and submitted a resignation letter just after Arnette left.

"I was expecting it already... you can leave"

"Uhm no! it’s not mine!!"

"uhh?"

"it was Edwin and Drake... they asked

to do it cus they were not confident enough to face you, but they think the party can not run smoothly without Sir Rein"

"Why are you not leaving?"

"why would I? Sir Rein is my role model" Braschiold’s shoulder began to shake as he sobs "...that day, I was there *sobs* Sir Rein is incredibly *sobs* powerful and considerate *sobs* and ..." at this point he began to cry.

Jon found it hard to believe the number one boy that should be hating Rein so much called him a role model, he smiled as he recalled how Rein insisted that he wanted to take him, Braschiold was young and Rein seed to have taken a liking to him, it wasn’t just him Rein was very concerned about all of the party mbers.

Just then Estrid ran in a hurry, "he’s awake! he’s awake!!" None of them waited to even ask who they just followed her outside.

*******

’.....ehhhh’

Rein was surprised when he saw his level going up without even doing anything, before fainting he rembered gaining 20 levels and he was level 139 before which ant he should be level 159 but right now he was level 161, there was only one explanation to it, Belet was hunting.

’...but does Belet know about the system...ah, probably not, he might just be doing his own thing’

"You seem to be in better ntal shape than I expected" Jon leaned at the door as he tried to hide his relief of seeing Rein.

"Master!!" Braschiold rushed to Rein’s bed with teary eyes.

"eh- Master?"

"He has called you all sort of nas, before now, he even said you are his role model, apparently he couldn’t take his mind off how strong you were when fighting the orc chief. Was it that strong?"

"...I would probably not have been able to defeat it if I did not use the bea-" Rein looked at the atmosphere and chose to keep quiet, it was due to using it that he was here now, he didn’t want to make things more awkward.

"anyways how’s the party doing?"

"Two have left and there’s a lot of application again but don’t worry about it since I’ll be turning everything down, ah... I should tell you, not too long ago the Belmont noble visited our party house"

"Arnette, my new friend"

"new friend?"

"Yea we beca friends when we first started school and I was having a hard ti getting a job, thanks to him I was able to break through but since our friendship has not improved, I decided to still call him a new friend."

"....now that explains the satisfying look on his face.... I never knew both of you were acquainted...he wants to join the party"

"You should let him join and you should take care of things, you don’t always have to report to

like this"

Estrid was not close to Rein so she oftentis found it hard to talk to him... but she too wanted to do so, she wanted to be free with him like everyone is, she wanted to say sothing.

Rein looked at the three of them faces and asked, "what about the rest?"

"well there’s class and errand here and there"

Rein smiled, "don’t worry I’m not giving up no matter what they say, believe , I’ll walk again. Besides can you all help

get Grim, I want him to co alone."

Jon looked at Rein, ’does he perhaps have...why am I worrying, leave it to Rein to surprise us’

"I’ll get him with urgency, is there anything else you need."

"Uhm...not really since I might choke from all the love, I’m cool for now, Nozick had been here with the party leaders too, everyone showing

so much loves feels a little bit like a dream..."

"How weird, you do not feel that they are pitying you, instead you feel like it’s a dream, it does not hurt your pride, instead it makes you happy"

"Since I’m not used to receiving love like this I should appreciate when it cos around ..."

"...you know you could have allowed Nozick to take care of everything... why did you push yourself too far, you still ha-"

"It’s my first real battle, Jon..."

Jon stopped when he saw the smile on Rein’s face, he couldn’t tell the emotions behind the smile, was he sad, or angry, grateful ...what exactly is it, he couldn’t even guess.

"...I realized this is my first battle, I wanted to see it to the end, I wanted to feel a sense of accomplishnt. I needed it"

Jon smiled, ’of course...’

"Well let’s go..."

He pulled Braschiold by his hair, Braschiold kept clinging to Rein’s bed but soon let go and was dragged away, Estrid bowed politely. "bye sir"

"Ah, that reminds , lady Estrid... I have sothing for you, remind

when I co around"

Her face turned red, ’...he knows my na! he rembers my na, he knows , wahh, he knows ’

"...ehhh, lady Estrid?" Rein was lost for words at her cute reaction.

"Sir!! yes sir!!, I’ll make sure to remind you" She rushed outside.
