Kian Sterling chuckled, tightening his arms as his fingers traced ambiguous circles around her waist: "Then tonight... should I be a bit more diligent?"

Luna Sutton’s face instantly turned red, and she slapped away his restless hand: "Dry your hair first."

Kian suddenly laughed softly and hooked her waist tie with his fingers, giving it a gentle tug.

As the beast skin skirt fell to the ground, he suddenly pressed her onto the beast skin mat, unfurling his ten snow-white fox tails into a soft bed: "Don’t worry, it’ll dry quickly."

"You..."

Luna was about to say sothing but was silenced as her lips were sealed, engulfed in the old fox’s scent.

Outside the shelter.

Malachi Arcanus’ jealous voice suddenly ca: "Damn, you flirtatious fox, you dug the latrine today, don’t stink up little Luna."

Inside the shelter.

Kian paused his actions, his ten fox tails sweeping dangerously.

He glanced outside subtly and smiled faintly: "Don’t listen to Malachi’s nonsense, the latrine is newly dug, hasn’t been used, how could it stink? I’m clearly fragrant~"

As he spoke, his body moved closer, as if inviting her to sniff him.

She was amused by his antics and poked his chest with her fingertip, teasing him on purpose, "Fragrant? Then why do I sll a hint of mud?"

Kian caught her mischievous finger, lowering his gaze with a soft laugh: "Then Luna, help sniff, where exactly isn’t clean?"

With that, he purposely drew her head close to his body, "Is it here... or here?"

The shelter wasn’t soundproof, the sounds from inside were clearly heard outside.

Malachi, feeling more jealous, stopped eavesdropping to avoid embarrassnt, turning away angrily.

You could still faintly hear him muttering: "As expected of a fox, their flirting skill is top-notch..."

Inside, Luna laughed out loud, her hands mischievous over him, "You did it on purpose?"

Kian caught her restless hands, his eyes dark and deep, his voice hoarse: "Luna, do you perhaps want him to eavesdrop?"

"Who wants him to eavesdrop?"

Luna blushed and gave him a light spitting sound.

Soon, the two were entwined together.

The night breeze subtly passed through the window crevice, gently swaying the torch in the corner of the room.

Kian’s ten fox tails draped down like curtains, casting flickering shadows on the beast skin mat.

...

The next morning, Luna Sutton was woken up by the clanking sounds of house-building and the intermittent sound of tal clanging from the forge area.

She sat up rubbing her eyes, noticing Kian was already not by her side, only a few strands of snow-white fox fur left on the beast skin mat.

Seeing those strands of fox fur, she couldn’t help but smile wryly.

That old fox had exhausted himself until the middle of the night, and before daylight, he was already taken out by Soren Phoenix to dig latrines.

She vaguely heard it at the ti but was too sleepy, so she fell back asleep.

She put on the beast skin skirt, lifted the curtain and went out, only to see Kael, Kael Shadowend, and Frey playfully chasing and frolicking on the grass.

Eight little snakes of various colors lay basking in the sun on a rock, looking leisurely.

In the morning light, Malachi was carrying a bundle of hemp rope heading out of the tribe, followed by ten or so strong beastn.

Caleb Manning walked silently at the end of the group, also holding a bundle of hemp rope.

"Luna is awake?"

Malachi noticed her, smiling as he walked over, "We’re heading out now to capture wild cattle and sheep. Look, we’ve got the gear ready."

He waved the hemp rope in his hand; these were originally brought by Kian, torn from the outer skin and twisted together, far sturdier and more useful than vines.

Of course, they wouldn’t make these themselves, it was Luna who led the tribe’s females to make them.

Luna Sutton smiled and nodded, "Be safe, rember to co back before dark."

Saying that, she took out a few packets of ground healing herbs she had dried herself from her space, "This stops bleeding quite well, sprinkle so if you’re injured."

Malachi happily accepted the dicine pouch: "Don’t worry, your males have strong lives."

Although he said that, he carefully stuffed the dicine pouch into his chest.

Seeing this, a flicker of jealousy arose in Caleb’s eyes but was quickly suppressed.

After exchanging a few more words, Malachi led the group away.

She didn’t stay there for long either, turning to the lakeside to freshen up.

Upon returning to the shelter, she saw a bowl of steaming porridge on the table, along with two small plates of side dishes, an egg, and a bunch of washed grapes arranged on a plate.

In addition to these, there was a palm-sized piece of beast at, roasted to a golden, crispy perfection.

Seeing the feast-like breakfast, Luna Sutton smiled slightly, "Are they raising like a pig?"

A bowl of porridge and an egg were almost enough to satisfy her.

Maybe just a few grapes, the piece of beast at seed completely unnecessary.

She didn’t bother to wonder who prepared the breakfast; it was just one of the n.

Sitting down, she began to eat.

She just peeled and bit into an egg when Rhys Blackwood walked in, carrying the morning dew.

Seeing her eating breakfast, he wasn’t surprised and simply said: "Malachi and the others are catching wild cows and pigs, should we build so sheds?"

Luna Sutton swallowed the egg in her mouth and nodded: "We do need sheds. The cowshed and sheep pen will be built on that open space to the west of the tribe, and the pigsty should be kept farther from the living area, with the wild ducks by the lakeside; rember to enclose them with a fence."

She counted on her fingers, then suddenly rembered sothing, pulling a charcoal pen and a slate from her space and started drawing: "It’d be best to dig a slope beneath the pigsty, that way when washing, the waste can flow directly into the latrine."

Rhys stared at her rough sketch, his stern eyebrows moving slightly: "You’re even managing the waste of animals?"

"This is called scientific farming."

Her pen tapped the manure pool beside the pigsty, "Once enough fertilizer is collected, the harvest in spring can double."

Outside, Frey made an exaggerated gagging sound.

The flamboyant phoenix pinched his nose, floating over from the direction of the latrine, his Fiery Red Feather Robe stained with dirt: "Luna~ do we really have to use waste for the fields?"

"What else?"

Zeke Veridian walked by carrying a bundle of vines, his erald eyes full of mockery, "Did you think crops grow from drinking dew?"

Soren Phoenix, fan covering his face, pretended to faint, suddenly catching sight of the grapes on the table, his fingers darted over to steal two: "I’d rather starve than eat—"

"Perfect."

Rhys quickly snatched the grapes, "These were prepared for Luna, get your own if you want them."

"Stingy, it’s just two grapes."

Soren rolled his eyes theatrically, but didn’t eat any more.

Luna Sutton’s mouth twitched, quickly changing the topic: "Where’s Corbin Crowley? Why haven’t I seen him all morning?"

"He and so beastn are at the forge area building a new furnace, said to be for refining malachite and chalcopyrite."

Zeke gave her a glance, casually explaining.

She nodded, not pressing further, focusing on her breakfast.

After eating, she cleaned the bowl, setting it aside, and headed to the forge area.

Though pre-drawn blueprints existed, Corbin didn’t exactly understand them well, so she wasn’t entirely at ease without checking personally.
