The sun gradually set, and the sky above the Moonlight Forest was tinted with a faint orange-red.

Luna Sutton noticed it was getting late. She stood up, dusted off her clothes, and scanned the females present, saying loudly, "Everyone’s worked hard today. It’s getting late, so let’s call it a day and continue tomorrow."

The females present put down their work, glanced at the sky, realized it was indeed late, and packed up their stuff to return to the tribe.

Belle Sumrs stretched lazily and smiled, "Cynthia, today was really tiring, but seeing so many woven baskets gives a great sense of accomplishnt."

"Exactly, exactly. I didn’t expect us to weave so many in one day. If we work hard again tomorrow, we should be able to complete the task."

Saffron Vance also laughed in agreent, looking a bit tired but feeling quite happy inside.

Luna Sutton smiled slightly, rembering what the system had said, and told Belle, "Belle, I might have so things to attend to in the next few days. I’ll leave the basket weaving to you and Saffron. Continue leading everyone to weave as many as possible."

Though uncertain if she should follow Corbin Crowley and the others to The Salt Lake tomorrow, it was better to prepare in advance.

Besides, she needed to focus on dealing with Kaelen Vance and Mia next. She was afraid she wouldn’t have ti to manage this.

Belle had a hint of confusion on her face but quickly nodded, "Okay, Cynthia, don’t worry about it and attend to your matters. I’ve got this."

Saffron also patted her chest and laughed, "Cynthia, rest assured. We’ve long beco skilled at weaving baskets and won’t delay the tribe’s work."

She nodded, looking at the two of them, feeling a bit relieved inside.

With Belle and Saffron here, the basket weaving should go smoothly without issues.

Everyone packed up their belongings and gradually left the Moonlight Forest, returning to the tribe.

She hadn’t taken many steps when...

Suddenly, Luna Sutton felt a chill down her back, as if sothing was secretly watching her, making her uneasy.

She halted, swiftly turned to look behind her, and found nothing.

She frowned, narrowed her eyes, and scanned the surroundings.

Moonlight Forest, shadows of trees swaying, leaves rustling in the breeze.

Aside from this, there seed to be nothing unusual.

Her intuition rang alarms, outwardly everything seed normal, but her instincts told her things weren’t so simple.

"System, scan the surroundings for . I feel sothing’s off."

She unconsciously slowed her steps, her deanor cautious, speaking to the system internally.

"Got it!"

The system imdiately ca online, activating the scanning function, scanning 360° without blind spots.

After the scan was completed, it teasingly said, "Host, you guessed right. Kaelen Vance is hiding in the shadows watching you, with sinister eyes. Tsk tsk, he’s really a sneaky one. Although he hasn’t agreed to Mia yet, he’s already started scouting."

Luna Sutton remained outwardly composed but coldly thought, "So impatient. Since Kaelen Vance is scouting, he must be planning to act against ."

She nonchalantly took her belongings and returned to the tribe with everyone.

The woven baskets from the afternoon were placed in the tribe’s communal cave.

Upon returning ho, she saw five Beast Husbands lining up at the stone table, their eyes fixed on her as if waiting to be fed.

She couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth and secretly complained: These five guys, each has such a strong personality usually, but when it cos to alti, they turn into hungry wolves.

She washed her hands and looked at them, "Are you here for dinner, or a eting?"

Corbin Crowley raised an eyebrow, a trace of teasing in his silver eyes, "Naturally here for dinner, but after dinner, I don’t mind having you."

Rhys Blackwood glanced at him, his voice slightly cold, "Stop scaring her."

Corbin shrugged, a cold smile on his lips, "Now you care for her? How co I heard soone was so rambunctious last night, it almost shook the entire tribe..."

Rhys’s expression stiffened slightly, responding coldly, "Speak for yourself."

Corbin’s smile deepened, his mocking tone carrying an undetectable hint of jealousy, "At least I’m a normal male, unlike soone who’s not normal. A snake beast like you should reduce your interactions with Cynthia..."

Despite his criticism of Rhys as abnormal, he was actually enviously impressed.

This double stake is simply every male’s dream.

Luna Sutton’s face flushed from hearing their conversation.

These two guys, really enough, discussing such a topic.

"Can you two be serious? Co and work, do you still want dinner?"

She scolded with a stern face.

Corbin and Rhys exchanged glances, a hint of a smile in their eyes, and didn’t continue to bicker, obediently going over to help.

As usual, Rhys washed vegetables, Corbin chopped them, but Zeke Veridian staunchly refused to light the fire.

Kian Sterling with just a few words managed to pass the task of tending the fire to Malachi Arcanus.

Malachi sat obediently at the stove with the firewood, his actions awkward but managed to get the fire going.

Kian sat with his legs crossed at the table, sipping chrysanthemum tea, his fox-like eyes slightly narrowed with a faint smile, as if everything was under control.

Luna Sutton glanced at him silently and couldn’t help but ntally retort: This old fox, truly maxed out his ’passing the buck’ skill, worthy of being the Nine-Tailed White Fox, nine tails, nine paths, always finding the easiest way.

But she said nothing. Malachi was simply foolish, couldn’t outthink Kian, and deserved the chore of tending the fire.

Corbin and Rhys were much quieter over there, each busy with their tasks, occasionally exchanging glances that sparked, but neither spoke up to provoke the other.

She breathed a sigh of relief, expertly stir-frying the beast at in the pan, the fragrant aroma drawing their gazes irresistibly.

"Ding! Host, there’s a new task!"

The system’s voice abruptly rang in her mind.

Luna Sutton’s hand jolted, almost flinging the spatula out: "What’s the task now? Don’t tell I have to mate with Kian within seven days?"

The system chuckled, "No, no, it’s not that. Please, host, after tonight’s dinner, have an ’intimate interaction’ with Kian, successfully touch his fox tail, and the task reward: a Winter Warmth Pack."

She was speechless inside, touch a fox tail? Does this dog system think it’s a ’seductive fox spirit’ script?

Considering the "Winter Warmth Pack" reward, she couldn’t help but be tempted.

The beast world at night was pretty cold, especially as she had just crossed over, not fully adapted to the temperature differences here.

If it were the snowy Winter, it would be even colder, truly life-threatening.

However, touching Kian’s tail, this task had the difficulty akin to "pulling teeth from a tiger’s mouth."

Luna Sutton, while stir-frying the savory roasted fla lamb at, silently plotted.

Kian, that old fox, seed gentle on the surface but was truly cunning deep down. Slight carelessness could lead to her being outwitted.

But for the sake of the pack, she decided to go all out.

"Kian, co help taste this lamb to see if it’s salty enough?"

Her eyes glanced at Kian, who was leisurely sipping tea, smiling as she beckoned him over.

Kian raised an eyebrow, put down his chrysanthemum tea, and lazily walked over, "Luna’s cooking is naturally excellent, but since you insist, how can I refuse the taste?"

Luna Sutton placed a piece of savory roasted fla lamb at in Kian’s bowl, smiling with innocence, "Try it, it’s my newly-devised secret sauce."

Kian narrowed his fox eyes, half-smilingly looking at her, "Why is Luna so enthusiastic today? Could it be that..."

"Could it be what?"

Her heart tightened, but she feigned calmness on the surface, "Do you think my cooking is poisoned?"

"Not quite."

Kian lightly bit into the lamb, chewing slowly, "Just feels like, unexpected kindness often carries hidden motives."
