(From Blue's Perspective)

"What ga?" I asked. I felt my heartbeat rising and falling, rapidly, loudly, like a drum beating in the place of my heart. I could feel Dion's steady breathing, his soft snores as if he was safe, he was in the safest place in the world. He had no idea.

"A ga. A fun ga," Azure said and stalked towards .

I did not move from my place. I stood my ground, when all I wanted was to hide. Azure made feel that way. He scared . Father figures always scared . Brothers scared .

Azure touched my face gently. I almost flinched. It reminded so much of Father that it was unnerving.

"My daughter, we do not have typical father and daughter relationship. We will never have. But at least, we can have fun," he said. "Let's say, this ga will help us bond."

"Oh, please, that is just bluffing," I rolled my eyes and slapped his hand away.

"No, it's not bluffing, my dear daughter. It's not bluffing," he said and sighed. "So, let's get to the ga. This ga is called 'the first one to win'. Funny na, isn't it? It ans both of us can win.

But what matters is who will win first."

"What's the ga?" I asked once again.

"You will see. Just not now," he said in a whisper, a smile playing on his lips. "Just rember. Ti is ticking. Starting now."

I felt a tug. Soone was pulling . Darkness spread around . There was no Azure anymore. No more rooms. No more corridors.

And then, I was on the ground. Dion was still with , my arms wrapped around him protectively.

It was still nightti. I looked around frantically as if there was supposed to be a change. I was on the balcony with my sleeping son on my shoulder and nothing was changed. But everything also changed at the sa ti. It was a ga. I had no idea what the ga was.

It only ant one thing. Everything was a ga. I was playing every second of my life starting now.

Dem was sleeping. I placed Dion in his crib and sat in a chair, keeping an eye on the cribs. I ran my fingers through Demian's hair and watched my boys sleep. They should be safe like this. Comfortable and safe with their parents. But they were not.

What if I lost the ga? I forgot to ask him. Or, maybe, I did not ask because I knew the answer and I did not want to hear it from him.

I did not fall asleep that night. I was tired, but not sleepy. I watched and watched and watched. I counted from 1 to 100 and 100 to 1. I watched the first light of dawn. I saw my husband wake up and watching through his still clouded vision because of the pills I gave him.

But I did not get up from the chair. I watched everything. I watched our bedroom. I watched for gaps.

Because it was all a ga.

"Did you wait long?" Evelyn asked with a smile. As if everything was alright. As if she was well. As if I was well.

"No," I smiled too. If she could smile, I could too.

I walked into the room, her living room.

"I was talking to rrick about…"

She could not finish. She held her throat with both of her hands as she floated in the air, not being able to breathe or talk. How could soone talk when one could not breathe? Silly .

"You should not have played a ga with , whatever your na is," I said with a smile and fisted my hand slowly. She gasped, tried to tell sothing. But I was not giving her any chance, was I? "I am tired, you know. I am tired of it all. He wanted to find you, didn't he?"

Evelyn's features changed slowly. First her red hair burned and it was white and short. Her blue eyes turned red, her white skin pale as if there was no blood in her veins. Her lips, her arms, her freckles, everything changed. Now, another woman remained in her place, suffocating and trying to fight off my restrain.

I let her go. She fell with a loud thump on the ground. Why did I not recognize her before? I knew this woman in front of .

"Wind," I said. "Isn't that your na?"

She did not say anything. Instead, she shot black strings through her hands. Funny. Childish.

I walk right through those pesky magic tricks. They could do nothing to .

"There is no point in being so defensive when you cannot even defend yourself properly."

She glares at . It felt childish. How could I not know that the real Evelyn was not here in the first place?

"What did you do to Evelyn?" I asked. "And how the fuck you have no black mana? Why can I sense nothing from you?"

She smiled. This bitch had the audacity to smile.

"You do not know, yet you are the daughter of our master?"

Cyan would have lost it if he was in my place. I was not Cyan. But I also felt like losing it. Maybe it was because of my frustration that I could not figure her identity before.

"Listen, you little shit, you will tell what the fuck is going on, or I will cut your limbs one by one and feed them to my pet bird," I said with a smile. "Little birdie loves thigh at."

She looked shocked for a few seconds before recovering. "You won't kill . You need answers."

"Yeah, I do. My brother can do it. Both things, actually. Get answers and feed my birdie. I hope you enjoy so casual ti with my dear brother," I said. "He is a real charr and a good entertainer."
