(From Blue's Perspective)

Illusion was part of magic. An essential part. But I never did it. I never thought about it either. I never tried it. Well, that's obvious, since I never thought about it in the first place.

When I woke up in the middle of the night hearing Demian's cry, I did not think anything was out of ordinary. There was no illusion. Nothing at all.

Demian was crying like his life depended on it. He always cried like that. There were tis I got annoyed. I knew it was not his fault. He was just a little baby. But I was also a human.

How much could I take?

As I fed Demian, I dozed off. But then, I jerked awake within a while. Dion was awake as well. Precisely saying, he was getting up. He would start crying too and I would have to feed him as well.

As I predicted, Dion got up as well. He started whining at first, then he saw through the bars of the crib and started to climb down. I had no idea who taught him that. Maybe he taught himself. Continue reading on My Virtual Library Empire

Dion was tall for a one-year-old. It was clear who he was going to take after when it ca to his height. Maybe he would take after his father entirely.

Dem was sleeping like a log. It almost never happened. It must be because of the pills I made for him. He was complaining about sleep, so I made so pills for him. He took one of them tonight because he was not in a good mood and needed sleep badly.

"What, baby?" I asked Dion as he trotted closer.

I sat in a single big couch. I picked Dion up with one hand which was quite hard, but I managed, and sat him down beside . He snuggled close to , still whining.

"I will feed you after I feed your brother, okay?"

I was not sure if Dion understood , but he kept quiet. He was hugging as tightly as he could. Sothing about being the center of the universe of your child was an amazing feeling.

Did Dion have a nightmare or sothing? Did he even understand the aning of nightmares?

After feeding Demian, I place him in his crib and feed Dion. We tried to feed Dion off bottles a few tis, but he did not like bottles for so reason. Maybe it was because there was no skin-to-skin contact with if he drank from bottles.

Dion was done quicker than Demian. I needed to go to the washroom for a pee and Dion followed there. No one ever tells you that after having kids, you cannot even pee alone.

"Baby, you need to sleep now. It's like 2 or 3."

Dion giggles. He was wide awake now.

"Mama is tired, Dion."

My son either did not understand or did not care. He trailed to the basin as I washed my face. He demanded his face to be washed as well. So, I put him on the counter and washed his face and hands. I dried him off with a towel and returned to the bedroom.

"Awake? Dion?" Dem mumbled, opening one eye.

"It's okay. You sleep. I am with him," I said, brushing Dem's hair from his forehead. Dion also patted his head.

I tried to sleep with Dion tugging my nightgown, pulling my hair and saying 'Mama' over and over again.

"Really, baby, what do you want?"

Now he started crying.

I got down from the bed and took him to the balcony. Dion liked fresh air and trees of any kind. We had so plants on the balcony.

Dion stopped crying at the sight of the plants. I truly needed so sleep. I need rest. Why did Dion need to wake up tonight? Why did he not go to sleep?

I honestly felt frustrated. I sat on the floor, although it was cold. I closed my eyes for a mont, just a few seconds, I could swear.

Then, I felt the utter stillness all around . The sll of fresh air was gone, replaced by the sll of wet wood.

I abruptly opened my eyes. I sighed in relief seeing Dion in my arms. He was clinging to tightly. My relief was short-lived.

Where were we?

Dion whimpered.

"Shh, baby."

I was holding his binkie. I quickly put it between his lips.

I got up from the floor. It was dirty. Where the hell was I?

There was a door in front of . I could only make it out in the dim light, who knew where the light ca from. There was a bad sll of wet wood and sothing more. Maybe so kind of animal was dead here.

There was no way I was spending another minute here with my son. I did not let Dion down, in case the floor was dirty. I was barefooted. It was gross. I could swear I felt sothing slimy under my feet.

Should I not just teleport? Funny. I tried it. I tried it more than once. But nothing happened. I could use no magic here.

It reminded of a magic barrier.

The door was open. It led to a set of stairs. Maybe we were in so kind of basent.

I took each steps carefully. There was another door. I pushed it gently and it was open.

Funny how even in this situation, all I wanted was a bit of sleep.

Everything was quiet. Well, not exactly. Everything felt quiet because of the eerily still surrounding, but I could hear muffled voices from sowhere.

I went to the opposite direction of the voices. Wherever we were, it did not matter. I could not draw any kind of attention. I did not need to know where I was. If I could get out of this place and the magic barrier, I would be able to use my magic and teleport.

Dion has his head rest on my shoulder, almost sleepy. Of course, he was sleepy. He stayed up for no reason.

I take my steps cautiously. I am barefooted, so it is easier. But my feet are surely leaving marks. Fuck all the things I stepped on down in the basent!

I could even get so sll from it. I was not sure if it was in my head or not.

That was when I heard footsteps behind . Where was it? I could not be sure. The voices seed to have stopped as well.

I found a room and quickly tried the doorknob. It was unlocked. I went inside it and gently closed the door.

"I thought you could hide better than that."

Fuck!

I turn around in a way as if I was not distressed.

There he was. As his usual self, standing by the window with a smile plastered on his face. Or, maybe it was a smirk.

"You have your little kid with you. I guess that's why you are so slow," he said. He talked as if he was amused. And that was also not in a bad way. Honestly, his tone pissed off way too much.

I was so angry I could grab a candle holder and shove it into his skull.

"Don't be angry, my dear daughter. I have not t you in a long ti. So, tonight, I decided I would see you. And I found you there, on the balcony. God forbid, why I haven't seen that son of yours with you."

"Oh, please, God's na in your mouth. That's really makes want to puke."

"You have grown… different, in a wild way," he said. "I like it better than that shy tiny self. You suit this version better."

"Why, thank you. I was waiting for your praise all my life," I roll my eyes.

He took a few steps towards . I did not want to back away, so I stood there. I was not afraid of him, I needed to show him. Well, I was, in reality, but he did not need to know that.

He touched Dion's cheeks and I slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch him," I said warningly.

"He looks a lot like that useless husband of yours."

"At least, he is handso."

"So, you are admitting he is useless?"

"No. He is more useful than those little flies you sent for my son the other day. Funny enough, that useless husband of mine cut so of them in half or more pieces," I said.

"I never liked your husband."

"No, you stopped liking him since the mont he was not in your control," I corrected. "Now, you are after my son as well."

"You have the wrong one in your arms. I wanted to see the little one," he said. "But this one is interesting too. What power does he have?"

"I don't know."

It was not a lie. I truly did not know. And even if I knew, I would not have told him. Not that I had much of an idea. Maybe it had sothing to do with plants.

Dion, unaware of what was going on, had fallen asleep. He was even snoring softly; it was like the purring of a kitten.

"I am getting bored these days, especially since you hurt the last ti we saw each other. It has been a while, no? You now have another kid as well. So, for old ti's sake, let's play a ga."
