"Just leave, Cyan," I said.
"Your Highness, I am still not sure about…," Ruby muttered.
Everyone was confused as Cyan straight up started living with us for the past two days. It was like he didn't have a place to go. I felt like he wanted to stay with us for so strange reason. He was a strange person after all.
"Why are you here again, Cyan?" I asked.
"What's wrong with being at my sister's place?" he asked innocently while biting on his toast.
We were having breakfast while the conversation arose. He had been sleeping in a room that he chose and playing with Sapphire all day while joining us during every al.
"You never acknowledged as your sister, Cyan, before this mont," I said. "Make satisfied and just answer my question. Why are you here?"
"I do not need to have much of a reason to stay at my sister's. However, I do have one this ti," he said. "I actually want to make sure you don't die."
"Why? You said you won't care about and my life was in my hands after we escaped," I said. "Why the sudden change of heart?"
"I actually want to make sure your kid lives," he said. "In that way, we will have one more person with quite a good amount of black mana."
"Really, Cyan… Haa, I surrender. I cannot ask you anything anymore. My heart can't take it. You are making feel quite ill right now with your ever-confusing answers," I said. "There is no harm in being a little more forward and understanding, you know. Where is Evan by the way?
I have not seen him even though it's nine in the morning."
"I believe King Ford is sleeping for he did not sleep last night," Ruby said.
"He did not?" I asked, surprised.
"I heard footsteps outside my room. Then, I went to investigate and saw him walking around. His room and mine are quite apart, but he was walking all the way from his room to that way and from that way to his room again. He looked a little troubled," she explained.
"Was he worried about sothing? But he did not ntion anything that must be troubling him," I muttered.
"I also noticed him pacing around," Calix said. He was having breakfast with us too. Perita was sleeping because she stood guard near my door the whole night. It ant she must have seen him too as Evan's room was the nearest to mine. "I went to drink a bit of water and saw him.
I talked to him and he said he was having trouble sleeping and that his doctor suggested taking a walk around the room or sowhere calm in that case."
"I see…," I mumbled and looked at Doctor Dimitri, who was sitting on my left side. "Doctor Dimitri, does it truly help? Walking, I an, in case of insomnia."
"To deal with insomnia, most doctors would suggest aerobic exercises that work as sleeping pills. This includes swimming, jogging, and yes, walking. It was quite effective than so other intense exercises for good sleep," he said. "His Highness was having sleep problems too, and I suggested walking."
"Yes, Dem was having sleep problems. But he did not walk," I said.
"Yes, that is because His Highness did not like the idea of walking, saying he did not like to walk alone and would prefer Your Highness to be his partner. So, I advised him to swim, as he seed to like the idea of that," he said.
"Ah, yes, Dem would go swimming in the middle of the night," I said.
I once or twice saw him going to swim in the indoor pool that was reserved for us only. According to my husband, it was newly built, as the previous one had an ominous design. I fell asleep pretty fast before I was kidnapped by Azure. After that ti, I had so difficulty falling asleep because of constant fear and worry. Dem sotis had problems with sleeping, especially when he was stressed.
He acted as if he was okay, but in reality, he was not.
"I supposed it helped with His Highness's insomnia."
"Oh, yes, it did. He told so and I also saw him a couple of nights sleeping peacefully after he started swimming" I said. "In his second letter, he ntioned not being able to get the leisure to sleep more than thirty minutes at a stretch."
"On the battlefield, it is rather hard," Doctor Dimitri said. "They have to stay awake for a very long ti."
"Luc stays awake when His Highness rests and His Highness stays awake when Luc rests. That's how it is going," Ruby said.
"Yeah, it is really hard for them," I muttered. "It's hard to imagine what they are going through."
"You have been on the battlefield before, I suppose, Doctor Dimitri?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, I have, two tis, my lady," he said. "I took care of so patients there. Actually, since I was always traveling, I kind of got stuck with nowhere to go. It is a brutal place and I was rely a student both tis. I was just thirteen once and the second ti, I was fifteen."
"Oh, so you treated patients at that young age?" I exclaid.
"Kind of. dicine is the only thing that ever interested and I, with so hard work, could treat serious patients at twelve."
"That's impressive!" Ruby exclaid in surprise and admiration. "How many kids have we heard of to be able to do sothing that sorts at that age!"
"To be honest, none. That is truly extraordinary," I said. "But, it had to be quite a huge deal of ntal stress on a young boy to be on the battlefield! Our Calix has experienced the sa and who knows how ntally stressed he was at that ti!"
"Your Highness, it's not too much," Calix mumbled, embarrassed.
