(From Blue's Perspective)
"Are you really not mad?" Iris asked.
I shook my head. "No. It's fine," I said.
"Did you and His Majesty fight?"
"It can't be called a fight. I could not be angry…," I said. Besides, I knew what kind of person he was. When soone was not surprised, it was hard to be angry too much. "He deserves a scolding though."
"Has His Majesty always been like this?"
"He is a little forceful. But you know, most of the ti, he gives so much love that I feel like I can look past those things," I said.
"I see… His Majesty surely is the most loving and loyal husband I have ever seen. He is really romantic, isn't he?"
"Romantic?" I laughed. "I cannot call him romantic. He does shows off a lot of love and is quite clingly. But he doesn't have much of a romantic sense. He doesn't know the aning of the romantic things people do for their loves ones. He can be romantic, but in his own way, not according to the typical standards.
Even just a few days ago, he asked what's the point of having a candlelit dinner. According to him, eating in more brightness is better."
"Pfft…! His Majesty actually asked that?"
"Yeah. And then, he said there is no point acting extra love dovey in front of others. He believes it doesn't matter if soone is there or not. Love will bloom naturally if there is any love in the first place."
"That's true. I totally agree with His Majesty on this one," Iris said. "I don't like it too when couples show off their love in front of others when they are not even that much in love yet, or are cheating on each other. It should be natural."
"Luc and Ruby are also natural, aren't they? They are so cute…!"
"They don't seem like the type to show much affection in public."
"Yeah, I have rarely seen them being lovey dovey around people. But the way both of them talks about each other is really cute. I an, you can say they are madly in love with each other," I said.
Every ti Luc talked about Ruby showed how much he cared for her. He often said Ruby yells at him a lot about cleaning after him, but in the end, he never forgot to say how much it helped having her around and how much he appreciated her. Ruby also complained how ssy Luc was. But she always said she actually liked to stay with him a lot and loved him more than anything else.
They were the cutest couple ever.
"Ruby and the master of the magic tower surely have a good relationship. I have seen them together enough tis to know that," she said. "That said, why is Ruby not here?"
"She is busy," I said. "Unlike , she is doing a lot of work."
"It's not like you don't work at all. Now you should just rest," she said.
"I think Dem is being to cautious. It's hard to make him understand that I am not sick and I do not need to rest all the ti," I said. "He just doesn't listen."
"Well, it's the first ti you are with a child. That must be the reason."
"… It's not," I mumbled.
"What???" she almost scread.
"It was… Uh, I was pregnant before," I said. "Only for one month though. I had a miscarriage."
"When? Why did I never hear about it? The Queen being pregnant is not easy to hide!"
"It was almost right after my marriage," I said. "Only a few people knew about it."
"What happened?"
"I was really sick. My body could not take it, especially because my power was not awakened. Moreover, it was an Alpha's child. So, it was really hard. Dem was against it, since the chance both the kid and be okay was very low. I knew it was not good for , but I could not just give it up for so reason.
But… So people found out so way and in the end, they fed sothing that caused the miscarriage?"
"Oh my… Blue, you don't need to… Are you okay?"
"Well, although it still feels hard to think about it, but I am a lot better than before. After that ti, Dem and I did not want to have a child until my power is awakened."
"So, that's why, you guys planned to have one as soon as your power is awakened."
"Yeah… None of us knew I would get pregnant this quick though."
"I am a little surprised too. Conceiving an Alpha's child is really hard. It can take years and might never even happen," she said.
"I know, right. We are both surprised. Even the first ti, I got pregnant too quickly. I think it has sothing to do with being a human and also a dark mage," I said.
"Maybe. There is nothing much known about human dark mages. It's my first ti hearing about them and probably the only two are you and your twin brother."
"Yeah… Ah, your tea is getting cold."
After Iris left, I went back to take so rest until Dem ca back. He went outside to take care of so things. After he ca back, he took a bath and we got ready together to go et Mom and Dad.
"Are you sure you will be okay?" Dem asked as he offered his hand. Experience new stories on empire
"You are here, aren't you?" I said, taking his hand. He helped to get in the carriage. "If I feel bad, I will just rest there for a while. They keep telling to stay there again and again anyway."
"I don't understand why they are so obsessed with you…," he grumbled as he followed inside. The door were closed right away.
"They just wanted a daughter," I said.
"With soone else's wife…"
"Co on, darling. Don't be like that."
"Everyone keeps acting like this. Even yesterday, hasn't the Queen of Lacuna sent you a letter?"
"She just told to visit if I get ti," I said. That was not the only thing she said. She also told if I could get her information about who might have killed her brother, the previous king of Lacuna, she would help with the war.
But even I had no idea who was the one that murdered the King of Lacuna. I had so information, but I was not sure if I should trade them with her. I decided to wait for the ti being. If the situation got worse, maybe I would ask for her help in exchange of the information I had.
I had not let Dem read the letter. He complained a lot, but I still did not let him and burnt the letter before he could take it.
"Why would she want you to visit her?"
"I think she just wanted to write a letter to since she heard I am pregnant. All the other Queens sent letters."
"They will say one thing and then, send assassins to kill you," he said.
"Would you have done the sa?" I asked.
"I don't work that way, my love. If I had to kill a Queen, I would kill her after she gave birth. I don't have anything against the kids, not until they grow up and go against ."
