In the end, she was sentenced to two years in jail for framing Qiao An.

After the truth was out, Qiao An dolled herself up and proceeded to et Xi Changzhi.

He sat down and glared at Qiao An, who was grinning widely. “Take it that Lady Luck is smiling at you instead of . Do you really think you’d be able to escape if soone didn’t find you that day? None of these are enough to make up for what you owe . It’s already been so many years. I’m sure you know the reason behind my actions.”
“That’s my purpose for coming here today. Why do you have to do everything you can to jeopardize my life? I really don’t know the reason.”
“You...” Xi Changzhi was exasperated, for she had no idea what the reason was at all. She was completely clueless!
“That’s why you have to tell ,” said Qiao An.
Of course I must tell her. Otherwise, I’ll never have the chance to tell her again. I must ensure that she never gets to live in peace!
Hence, he said, “Do you still rember that Mu Caiyi?”
“Mu Naiyi 1?”
“Mu Caiyi!” he emphasized.
Shaking her head, Qiao An said, “I don’t.”
“You don’t know her? You two were classmates in your second year of university. How dare you lie,” he said with bloodshot eyes.

“You’re not making any sense at all. I really don’t know who Mu Caiyi is at all. Why don’t I go back to Northern Prefecture University and check if there was a Mu Caiyi in my class back then?”
“Northern Prefecture University? You graduated from that university?” he asked with a squint.
“Of course.”
“Were you not from Beiyuan University?”
Qiao An scoffed and said, “I’m sure you got the wrong person. The only person who attended Beiyuan University in the Qiao family is my cousin, Qiao Luo.”
Extrely agitated, Xi Changzhi exclaid, “How can that be? I was clearly told that it’s Qiao An, not Qiao Luo!”
“Is Mu Caiyi the woman Qiao Luo killed by running her over by accident?”
Xi Changzhi was dumbfounded. He refused to believe or admit that he had made such a stupid blunder and took revenge on the wrong person.
Back then, he had a tiff with his girlfriend, Mu Caiyi, after which they both gave each other the cold shoulder. Being prideful and arrogant, neither of them wanted to contact the other person first. However, he could not tolerate the silence anymore and decided to contact her after so ti, only to discover that she had already passed away.
