Sebastian possessed holy magic. It was not surprising if he had so form of prophetic ability but it made her nervous about how much those magic eyes could see

The chatter from the elders faded and they were the only ones left in the passage. "What are you not telling ?" She asked unable to hide her anxiety while her eyes studied his body movent

Sebastian was nervous, his hand clenched, and his eyes avoided her gaze. Her stomach churned, fear gawking on her bottling up to her neck. "Why aren’t you answering ?" She asked him once more.

Sebastian shook his head, then started to walk away. He truly had no intentions of telling her anything. Abrielle could not take this. She stord towards him. "Stop walking away." She demanded.

Sebastian felt a headache coming. Why did he ntion it? He did not want to speak of the vision that makes it more cursed.

"Abrielle, please. If I speak of it, it ans I am acknowledging it, and it will surely happen." He hissed, then stord away, taking fast strides. Abrielle stood rooted, from his tone it felt like it was sothing truly grave

She got to the dining door and the guards pulled it open for her. The atmosphere in the room was refreshing. The Nightshade family was in a joyous mood.

The reason for this al was to cheer her up. She appreciated how much Rebecca was putting into making her happy. Sadly, one thing Abrielle knew in this world was that nothing lasts forever, but she hoped the Nightshade family won’t change too much..

It will be really sad for this to be ruined.

Pierre’s eyes caught her standing next to the door. He then smiled sweetly like the father who always pampered his only daughter.

"Stop standing there and take a seat." He beckoned to her. Abrielle nodded then moved towards the table. A servant pulled a seat next to Rebecca and she settled down sitting opposite Sebastian

Sebastian’s blue eyes sparkled as he laughed at his father’s joke. Her eyes darted around the table. All the n in this family had similar looks stereotyped to the Nightshade family. The family is rumoured to have descended from the moon goddess Nyxoria, which is what makes them charming with their silver hair that sparkles under moonlight and charming blue eyes.

The only one with Nightshade blood who didn’t inherit these features was her. Abrielle inherited her father’s blue eyes and Rebecca’s red hair. Her parents always believed that was the reason she didn’t possess the holy magic known to the family.

The al was lively chatter, and soft clicking sounds filled the room. Everyone seed happy and Abrielle had a smile on her face. Her mind was not here but elsewhere, lingering on what Sebastian said earlier.

What was he hiding? She wondered as her gaze fell on the man who sat across her. "Oh my Rebecca you are truly lovely." Ava laughed out. She was taking a sip of her juice after finishing her dessert.

The entire ti everyone was mindful of their words. They didn’t want to ntion anything relating to the royal family conflict. It was a hot topic, but they dared not ntion it in Abrielle’s presence.

Sebastian was curious where Cedric was hiding. He has tried finding him with magic, but no matter how he tried, he could not. There was an invisible power shielding Cedric from other magic. Sothing dark and dangerous.

"It was nice having us over but it’s ti we leave. I have to make arrangents." Mikhail sighed. Even though he hid most of his statent, she understood.

He was the high pope and had to make arrangents for Kaiden’s funeral and the new coronation.

"When will you be travelling to Vitalis for the funeral?" Abrielle asked unexpectedly taking her uncle unaware.

Mikhail cleared his throat and controlled his expression. "Soon, Queen Eleanor has yet to set a date." He answered and Abrielle nodded.

As long as Kaiden wasn’t buried, Lucien could not be crowned. She had thought Eleanor would want to rush the coronation. Why was that crafty queen stalling? Abrielle wondered. Was she waiting for Cedric to be caught first?

That thought made her wary. "You can head back to your room while we walk your uncle and aunt to the door," Pierre ntioned. Everyone stood up from their seats.

"It was nice having you over." Abrielle chid. Her father wanted to speak to Mikhail in private. Her guess told her it was most likely about the royal succession.

"We are just glad you are fine despite being caught up in all these," Mikhail answered before leaving the table. Everyone left the dining room together but Sebastian and Abrielle didn’t head towards the main entrance.

Sebastian was currently training under Pierre so he normally spends his days at the Nightshade estate. Sebastian hissed, hearing heels clicking behind him. Abrielle was truly persistent.

He stepped into the Duke’s study, and she followed after closing the door behind her. Her back against the door as she closed it while she stared at Sebastian, who stood next to the desk with a questioning expression.

His brow was arched at her. "If soone saw us now, they would think we are having a secret affair." He teased. Her cheeks went red and she glared fiercely at him.

"Enough with the jokes, we need to talk." She was firm and wasn’t backing away. Abrielle strode towards him. Her eyes locked with his.

"I can’t, let’s just forget about it." Sebastian shrugged, walking away from the desk towards a nearby shelf. "If you wanted to forget about it you should never have ntioned it," Abrielle said.

Sebastian picked up a book, his gaze trying to go through it. Abrielle hated the fact that he was ignoring her and stord towards him. She snatched the book from his hold. "Stop ignoring , Sebastian."

"There are consequences if I tell you. I just can’t." He pleaded hoping she would drop it.

"I can bear the consequences."

Sebastian finally relented. He knew he was going to regret this.

"The vision was a blur but the interpretation was certain. Your life is going to be filled with a lot of challenges and tears, but in the end, you will die in the hands of the one you love."
