Rebecca’s eyes were filled with emotions. She recognised Abrielle even if she was dressed in rags. She didn’t care how dirty Abrielle was. She pulled her into a hug and poured out her emotions.

"Welco back ho." She cried out. Abrielle returned the hug and just enjoyed the feeling of being in Rebecca’s arms.

A day passed after Abrielle returned to the Nightshade family. She was cleaned and fed well. Rebecca kept on forcing her to eat until she could not swallow anything again.

She spent the first day in her room trying to sleep. Since Kaiden’s death, Abrielle hasn’t been able to sleep properly. Her mind was filled with thoughts about Cedric.

The next morning a light knock woke her from sleep. She stirred away slowly sitting up while rubbing her eyes. "The door is open." She yawned, rubbing her eyes.

Abrielle sat up initially confused about the strange room. Her eyes stared blankly at the strange walls that were different from the seaside castle walls then it slowly dawned on her that she was back in the very room she had first seen when she ca to this world

The Nightshade estate. The door creaked open and Rebecca ca in. She was already dressed for the day and had a scarf across her shoulders. "Good morning Abrielle." Rebecca chid, her eyes falling on Abrielle, who still looked sleepy when it was pretty late in the morning.

She was worried Abrielle was taking too long to leave her room and ca to check on her out of concern. That was one of the reasons.

"Good morning mother." Abrielle yawned followed by a soft ow. Yuki was asleep at the foot of the bed. After what happened last ti, Abrielle was wary about letting him on the bed, in case he suddenly turned into a man.

Imagine how scandalous it will be for her to sleep next to another man. One as handso as Cedric, then worse if Cedric was the one who caught them.

"Dear, you look horrible." Rebecca clicked her tongue and beckoned to the maids to co in. "Co get the lady ready. We are having a general family breakfast. Mikhail and his family are coming over." She explained.

The maids ca in to assist. One picked Yuki from the soft rug at the end of Abrielle’s bed to have him grood.

"I want to sleep longer," Abrielle whined lying back on the bed. She was super sleepy. Rebecca stomped her foot and pulled off the covers. "This isn’t the seaside castle dear. Wake up and get ready. Don’t keep the entire family hungry." Rebecca barked out, making Abrielle laugh.

Rebecca was confused about what was so funny. Abrielle laughed because Rebecca’s true stern personality was coming back.

She turned her legs to the side of the bed and stood up. "I will be ready on ti." Abrielle chid. Rebecca smiled seeing Abrielle in a better mood. She was secretly worried for her daughter

Although Abrielle doesn’t say it Rebecca knew she was missing Cedric. "Be quick about it." Rebecca humped, then left the room with one of the maids that was carrying Yuki.

A couple of minutes later, soft footsteps could be heard on the stairs close to the main entrance. Rebecca glanced behind to see Abrielle gracefully making her way down

She was dressed in a red dress with gentle lace and intricate patterns..she was stunning without a doubt. "Guess who finally shows up?" Rebecca sneered, rolling her eyes. She had always been like this. Rebecca believed in tough love, but wasn’t strong enough to be fully strict with Abrielle.

Abrielle smiled, understanding Rebecca’s personality. "Good morning mother and father." She greeted the student at their side.

"Good morning Abrielle," Pierre replied with a soft smile. "You look lovely dear." He complinted.

"Thank you, Father, but I am not the only charr here. Mother has to be careful or she might lose you." Abrielle teased being a naturally sweet mouth. Pierre and Abrielle laughed out loud. Rebecca scoffed.

"Enough of the laugh. Mikhail’s family will be here soon."

That’s right, they were waiting here to welco their guest. Exactly on cue, the large white carriage slowly arrived and stopped.

The door was opened and Abrielle’s uncle stepped out first. Mikhail the leader of the temple, the high pope. After Mikhail was out he gave Ava a hand to leave the carriage. Abrielle’s eyes sparkled seeing Ava’s slight bump. The pregnancy was starting to show.

Sebastian was the last one to step out. Sothing in Sebastian changed. The air around him carried more authority. The Duke’s successor training was already showing on him.

"Oh my dear Abrielle..I heard the tragic news. Thank Nyxoria you are safe." Ava cried out, her arms wide open for a hug. Abrielle smiled and approached her aunt for a hug, but she was careful not to hug too tightly because of the bump.

"I am fine. I am even happier that the baby is doing fine." Abrielle chid, breaking the hug. She also acknowledged her uncle’s presence, sparing him so greetings before her attention fell on Sebastian, who had been quietly watching with a stern gaze.

The rest of the family was already heading in leaving just the cousins behind. "I was expecting at least a smile and a hug but I guess I won’t be getting that." Abrielle clicked her tongue. Sebastian’s steps were slow to enable Abrielle to catch up

"If you want a smile, you would not have done sothing as dumb as attempting to run away without asking for any help, then getting entangled in a sex trafficking syndicate." Sebastian sneered in a low tone just for the two of them. Abrielle’s footsteps stopped stunned.

"How did you know that?" She gasped, unable to hide her shock. Sebastian stopped a tired sigh leaving his lips.

"When I am worried about soone I tend to see visions. The things I see most of the ti make scared."

Abrielle nervously swallowed, "What are you not telling ?"

She saw his fist clenched. Sebastian was clearly hiding sothing. Her stomach churned.
