Cedric had successfully stolen the lilight again for the wrong reasons. The first duel of the second half is the battle between the husband and the lover. The whispers went around in hush tones.

Everyone was anticipating the match although they all had an idea how this would end. Karissa made her way back to the booth sparing Abrielle a glance before she scoffed.

The forr holy lady didn’t comnt and only shrank on her seat, her fingers playing together to ease the tension while she gently tapped her feet under her dress layers.

She was nervous and anxious. She heard all the whispers and felt the unsettling gaze. How did she beco the slutty wife that toyed with two brothers? Abrielle asked herself. Still, she kept a straight face to hide whatever feelings or intentions she had.

When it ca to Alfonso, she had complex feelings. He was blackmailing her, yes, but that didn’t an she was going to enjoy him being completely humiliated. What was wrong with her? She felt pity for the person that was making her life hell.

The crowd roared louder, the officiator making his way to the centre then his voice echoed. "WELCO TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE DAY. I KNOW WE ARE ALL EXCITED FOR THE DUEL." he started pumping the crowd.

Rebecca, who was seated in the Nightshade booth, eyes trailed to Abrielle, who had a serene expression on her face. "This Duel is getting too dramatic and I don’t like how Abrielle is in the middle of everything."

"The poor girl probably didn’t ask for this." Ava sighed at Rebecca’s side and the n didn’t say anything.

"THIS IS A MATCH OF HONOUR, AND IN THE SPIRIT OF THE FESTIVAL, MAY THE SECOND HALF COMNCE... PRESENTING THE FIRST CONTENDERS, THE FIRST PRINCE OF OUR BELOVED KINGDOM, HIS HIGHNESS CEDRIC VON DRAKKAR, WHO WILL BE GOING AGAINST THE THIRD PRINCE, HIS HIGHNESS ALFONSO VON DRAKKAR... MAY THE BLESSING OF THE GODDESS BE WITH THEM " the officiator’s voice rang throughout the arena.

After making his announcent, he withdrew from the fight arena, and the loud horns and trumpets rang. The gates of the opposite entrance slowly opened revealing the contender’s

Who slowly made their way in on their horse. Cedric was dressed in his armour carrying the royal crest with dark undertones, a customized design for him. His hair was hidden in his helt which also covered his face as he rode on his dark stallion.

Alfonso was dressed in red armour, also carrying the royal family crest, as he made his way in. His horse was brown in colour. They both carried lances in their arms and their armours fortified with magic.

Cedric’s eyes watched Alfonso, he was amused he decided to show up. The flag was waved and the match started with both horses running towards each other.

Their lances clashed against each other; it was a strong blow, but Alfonso was able to fend it off. His eyes narrowed, and Cedric was holding back.

"I didn’t expect you to show up. I guess you have more guts than I thought." Cedric sneered while they clashed. "I would never turn down a fight invitation from my dearest brother." Alfonso chid at Cedric. The first prince’s face curled into a smile. It was a sha they were not fighting with swords.

The battle continued; it seed like an equally matched fight; Alfonso was on the defence side while Cedric led the offence while the match drawled.

From an outsider’s view, they could say that both princes’ strengths were not far off, but to the royal family, they knew Cedric was toying with Alfonso.

Abrielle did not understand Cedric’s intentions or why he was doing this. She had expected that Alfonso would be completely humiliated by Cedric.

Each blow from Cedric made Alfonso weaker but the first prince had not batted a sweat. "What are you trying to prove?" Alfonso could not help but ask. He was breathing heavily, his body drenched with sweat.

"I just have a simple duel, brother. " Cedric nonchalantly answered as he struck, taking Alfonso unaware. He was able to defend but the backlash was powerful.

Alfonso’s eyes were bloodshot; others might not know what he was feeling, but he felt it. With the humiliation and condescending look, Cedric was not even trying and yet he was still pushed to a corner

He didn’t stand a chance against Elias nor did he stand a chance against Cedric. He gritted his teeth and then charged at Cedric. His hold tightened against the lance.

Cedric was wide open; it felt like an illusion to see such an opportunity. Alfonso didn’t see it early. By the ti he did, it was too late. Cedric lured him in and then swiftly changed his position.

Alfonso’s horse was still moving fast; he could not stop his horse in ti. While he was struggling to gain control Cedric struck again. Alfonso could not stop the blow on ti and was completely knocked out from his horse on the sand.

The arena went silent, and Alfonso rolled over on the sand. He coughed out blood unable to stand up due to the prolonged stress on his body. Cedric had already won but the spectators were stunned by the match.

It was a quick move. Their eyes could not follow. One mont, Alfonso was charging at the prince, and the next, he was on the floor. Soon, a loud roar rang; it was a breathtaking fight where both princes fought to the fullest, exercising their strength.

Cedric didn’t bask in the glory of the match but instead rode to Alfonso, who was beaten and injured on the sand, unable to move a muscle.

"So much for being tough. Even when I bring myself to your level you are still pathetic. You will always be the pathetic little brother. This is a final warning; next ti, I won’t play around."

Alfonso laughed at Cedric; he had lost; he knew Cedric was toying with him, yet this was hilarious. "I don’t need to be tough to take what you value "Alfonso could barely say while coughing. His body was heavy and he was trying his best not to faint. It was a miracle he stood this long against Cedric.

Cedric’s eyes darkened. He scoffed and then rode off...
