[Huh??? Strear, you really don’t know who Julian Nash is?]

[It’s okay, let fill you in right now...]

As the man in question, Julian Nash, watched the girl’s blank expression on the screen, his pupils contracted slightly, and a pang of bitterness welled up in his heart.

’Renee Jennings actually doesn’t know who I am?’

After reading the viewers’ explanations, Renee Jennings finally understood that this Julian Nash was an A-list celebrity.

Julian Nash stared at his phone screen in anticipation, eager to see her reaction.

Renee smiled at the cara. "Thanks for the helpful answers, everyone. I’m going to end the stream now. See you next ti."

Julian Nash’s brow furrowed. He could almost hear the sound of his own heart breaking.

Renee ended her stream.

And Julian Nash’s heart was broken.

He switched to WeChat, found Renee’s chat window, and after a mont’s hesitation, sent a ssage: [Hello, I’d like to get to know you. I’m Julian Nash.]

Renee didn’t look at her phone, because she had just noticed Cheesie perched where Evelyn Hollis had been sitting monts before.

"This cat looks so familiar," she murmured.

"A cat?" Michelle Fuller put down her coffee and followed her gaze to find Cheesie. "Huh? Isn’t that the scumbag’s cat?"

"I think so." Renee leaned forward, resting her arms on the dining table and peering at Cheesie. "What are you doing here?"

Cheesie copied Renee’s posture, placing his front paws on the edge of the table and stretching his neck to look at her. "I ca to find you."

Renee’s eyebrow quirked up, finding this amusing. "What for?"

Cheesie replied, "To seek refuge with you."

Renee: "..."

Before she could speak, Cheesie added, "I was just kidding. Can you understand what I’m saying?"

’This seems to be a very smart cat.’

Renee raised an eyebrow. "How did you know?"

"I have very good hearing." Cheesie, probably finding it tiring to talk while standing, pulled back his paws and sat down on the sofa. "I heard you talking."

"Oh, I see." Renee nodded, translated for a curious Michelle, and then looked back at Cheesie. "Did you need us for sothing?"

Cheesie leaped lightly onto the dining table and sat in front of Renee. "Actually, yes."

"What is it?" A flicker of curiosity appeared in Renee’s eyes.

Cheesie said, "I want you to help find my owner."

Renee asked, "Isn’t your owner that scumbag surnad Feng?"

"No." Cheesie shook his head. "My owner is a very sweet girl."

"Then how did you end up with that scumbag?"

"Once, my owner and her boyfriend were going on a long trip, so she left at a friend’s house." As Cheesie recounted this, a sad expression crossed his fluffy face.

"She said she would pick up and take ho after a week, but then two weeks passed, then three..."

Renee frowned slightly. "She never ca to get you?"

Cheesie shook his head dejectedly. "No, I waited for a long ti, but she never ca. My owner’s friend didn’t want to keep anymore, and a few days later, the scumbag ca and took ."

He lowered his head, his voice muffled. "I much prefer being with my owner. She’s so sweet. She’d hold when we slept, and she’d catch bugs for ... She would never abandon ."

Renee sensed Cheesie’s sorrow. She reached out, stroked his head, and asked softly, "Did the friend who was looking after you ever contact your owner?"

"Yes." Cheesie whimpered. "She said she couldn’t reach my owner. She thinks my owner did it on purpose—that she didn’t want a cat anymore and just made up an excuse to abandon . But I don’t believe it. My owner would never do sothing like that."

Renee found the situation hard to judge.

It was true that many people got pets just to follow a trend, but then couldn’t handle the daily poop-scooping and getting covered in fur, so they ended up abandoning them.

Renee sighed. "How do you want to help you?"

"You have a lot of fans online, right? Can you post about ? My na is Bubbles, and my owner’s na is Lana. If she sees it, she’ll definitely co looking for ! Please?" Cheesie stared at her expectantly, his feline eyes glistening with moisture.

Renee: "..."

Although he was a very smart cat, his way of thinking was still quite simple.

His owner had left him with a friend but hadn’t co to pick him up at the agreed-upon ti.

She clearly knew where Bubbles was, and her friend had tried to contact her multiple tis to no avail.

Renee felt that if Bubbles’s owner hadn’t t with so kind of accident, there was only one other possibility: she was using this as a way to abandon him.

Looking at Bubbles, she felt a pang of pity.

"Please?" Bubbles pleaded. "I really miss my owner. Sothing must have held her up before, that’s why she didn’t co for ."

"Okay, I’ll help you." Renee took a few pictures of him.

Michelle asked curiously, "Renee, is he asking you to help find his old owner?"

"Yes." Renee nodded.

Michelle frowned. "How are you ever going to find her?"

Renee said, "We can try."

She started drafting a post with the pictures and text, asking Bubbles for more information as she went.

After publishing the post, Renee put down her phone and looked at the cat before her, a bit troubled. "So, where are you going to stay now?"

He definitely couldn’t go back to the scumbag’s place.

’My place?’

She already had two dogs and two cats. Another cat seed a bit...

"Why don’t you have him stay at my place for now?" Michelle suggested. "He can keep Ginny company."

Renee agreed and asked Bubbles for his opinion.

Bubbles, of course, would have preferred to stay with Renee, since there was no communication barrier between them.

But Renee hadn’t offered, which obviously ant it wasn’t convenient for her at ho.

He looked at Michelle and said solemnly, "Then I’ll be in your care."

**

Julian Nash was distracted all day, even ssing up his takes several tis during filming.

The mont they wrapped for the day, he opened WeChat. He saw that his chat window with Renee was still open to the last ssage he had sent.

Julian Nash instantly felt like his world was about to co crashing down.

Especially when he saw that Renee had posted a "lost owner" notice for a cat but still hadn’t replied to his WeChat ssage. At that point, he felt like his world wasn’t just *about* to collapse—it already had.

Julian Nash repeatedly typed ssages into the text box, only to delete and revise them again and again.

He was torn, unsure if he should send another ssage.

After all, there was a saying: no reply ans they feel bothered.

’Should I just take the hint and not send anything else?’

His young assistant, seeing him staring at his phone, asked curiously, "Sir, are you looking at sothing interesting?"

Julian Nash imdiately turned to his assistant. "Let ask you a question. If you sent a girl a ssage and she didn’t reply, would you keep ssaging her?"

"It depends," the young assistant mused. "If it’s a girl I really like, I’d probably keep trying. I wouldn’t want to give up easily."

"Is that so." Julian Nash looked away, gazing thoughtfully at his phone.

But the assistant suddenly realized sothing was up. "Sir, do you have a crush on soone?"
