Since Lucy herself was soone who had trained in martial arts for a long ti, it was only natural that she was able to use her advantage to the fullest and beco one of the highest ranked awakened at this ti.

But at this mont, Lucy realized that the real ‘king’ was actually her best friend who had been extrely low key. Thinking of the radio announcent not long ago who said that Mr. Yuri had reached 4 minor advancents in rank 5 and would soon reach 5 minor advancents, Lucy felt like she was watching a clown.
A clown who didn’t know that there were actually others who were stronger than him.
“You’re really amazing.”
Kate smiled but didn’t elaborate that she hadn’t just reached rank 6 but also had several minor advancents. There was no need for her to be high profile, especially when her identity was sowhat special.
“Talk to Kyle if you really want to join the team. He’s the leader.” Kate moved her legs front and back like a little kid. She then tried to stop them and then reminded her best friend, “Also, don’t tell him that I’m Kate.”
“He doesn’t know?”

“I don’t know.” Kate pouted. “But I don’t really want to talk to him about it for now.”
Lucy was staring at her best friend with her mouth opened wide. What happened to her best friend in the past two or so months?
Looking at Kate’s pouting look, Lucy laughed and stretched her hand forward. “Tsk, tsk, you’re so cute.”
“Hey! Stop pinching !”
“Why? Your cheek is so cutee~.”

After playing around with Kate, Lucy was satisfied and walked her back to the group. They were all now having al in the open area beside the research institute. It would be used as garden in the future but for now, it was nothing more than an empty land.
Kate snorted at Lucy and then ran to the others.
“What’s for dinner today?” Kate asked happily.
Lotte laughed when she saw Kate. “Co on, help us to make the soup. Little Kitty need to learn how to cook too.”
“I can cook!”
“How about if I help too?” Jake asked with a grin.
“You? The last ti you cut that carrot, you ended up not cutting it to the end, making a strange snake like shape.”
“That’s not my fault that the knife is not sharp enough!”
“Enough! Don’t ss with my food!”
Lucy laughed when she watched them ssed around like that. She glanced at Kyle, who had walked in her direction and could faint a sense of oppression from this young man. Even though Kyle was only a few years older than her, Lucy was sowhat afraid of him.
“Professor Kyle?”
“Co with if you want to talk.” Kyle noticed Lucy and waved his hand.
Lucy took another look at Kate, who was happily learning how to stir the soup with Lotte, and then walked to follow Kyle. She noticed that Kyle was not surprised to see her with Kate as if he had known that she will definitely be with that little girl.
Taking a deep breath, Lucy hoped that she could still negotiate about the matter of joining the team.
The two of them stopped at the edge of the so called garden that was not done built yet.
“Anything you would like to say?” Kyle asked, his tone was indifferent.
Looking at this young professor in front of her, Lucy felt that this professor was different from the one she used to et at the university. No matter what, there was no sense of danger and oppression from Professor Kyle in the past.
Lucy took a deep breath. “I would like to join your group for missions if possible.”
Kyle looked at Lucy up and down. A rank 5 enhancent awakened ant that Lucy was very good or lucky to be able to find so gems to help her rank up faster. And Kyle also knew Lucy’s relationship with Kate.
“For Kate?”
That question caused Lucy’s expression to change. She opened her mouth and then closed it again.
Not long ago, Kate just told her not to tell Kyle about this matter. But just after a short while, she found out that Kyle actually knew that Little Kitty is actually Kate.

“I know.” Kyle looked at Lucy. “You don’t have to ddle about it.”
Lucy’s expression turned serious. “I don’t know what you think about Kate, but I would like to stay with her and protect her. Kate’s current ntal state is more similar to that of a child rather than her previous calm self. I might not be that talented, but I would like to stay with her and help her, Professor Kyle. I hope that you can allow to do that.”
Kyle looked at the young woman in front of him.
In the academy, this young woman had also asked him about her best friend who went missing when she was in the sa classroom as him.
As for Kate’s ntal state being similar to a kid…
It was true.
Kyle would have long suspect Little Kitty is Kate if not because of her childish action that she showed in front of him.
And Lucy herself also noticed that after talking with Kate.
She had so traces of her previous personality, but it was now mixed with the childishness of a kid.
He looked at Lucy. “I don’t trust you.”
Lucy’s fingers clenched into a fist. Right, she and Professor Kyle barely knew each other, how could the other party trust her so easily?
“For her sake, I’ll let you join the team. Should you do sothing inappropriate even once, I’ll kick you out. Is that clear?”
