Chapter 318: Robert's Endless Fleeing

During his journey from the tower of Knight House to the Lover's Bridge, Robert successfully eluded the nurous golems' patrolling. This greatly reduced his vigilance against the golems.

Although he had gone through a painful experience of being hounded by golems, if everyone could effectively learn from their mistakes, then the world would be full of enlightened people.

The moonlight shining from above was wedged by the walls on both sides of the corner, forming a triangular shadow.

Robert looked at the approaching golem and imdiately held his breath, curling his body into the shadow with all his might.

But akin to burying one's head in the sand, this kind of action would certainly prove to be ineffective.

The Light Cavalry type golem had a height of about two tres, width of half to one tre, and a body fully covered by light armour. Rolling wheels were the main feature of its lower body, but it was also equipped with spider legs.

In addition to its quick speed, the Light Cavalry's spider legs were highly adhesive, which enabled it to stick on the castle walls.

This ant that it could literally vault over eaves and walk on walls!

The main weapon of Light Cavalry golems were dual swords, and this was also the case for the Light Cavalry in front of him. Furthermore, the axis of its waist was a disc that could rotate a full 360 degrees, and its most lethal move was a 'swordstorm(剑刃风暴)' unleashed by spinning its waist while brandishing its dual swords!

Unlike the Heavy Cavalry with paralysing gems(麻痹宝石) attached to their foreheads, the Light Cavalry possessed no long-range magic skills.

It would generally suppress the enemy by using its spider legs, restraining them without killing.

'Not killing creatures other than magical spirits' was the iron rule engraved in the core of all golems.

So the students never had to worry about being killed by golems.

What they had to worry about was the school penalty and detention they would surely face after being captured by the golems.

Robert didn't want to be put in detention!

……

But while he was trembling because of this, the golem went straight towards him without changing its direction.

Moreover, it was gradually accelerating, moving faster and faster.

By the ti Robert realised that sothing was wrong, that golem had already drawn its dual swords and rushed at him like the wind!

"Oh no!" A horrified expression instantly took over Robert's face.

He imdiately broke into a mad dash, scampering away like a frightened rat.

At this ti, he no longer cared about whether or not he would be discovered by White.

In theory, although golems should know where to draw the line, nobody would be willing to bet their life on a golem's internal circuit when a sword was aid right at their face!

Who knew if this ancient golem would break down at a critical mont?

The path which he ca from was blocked, so Robert could only run towards the Lover's Bridge.

But as soon as he got to the bridge, he suddenly realised—why did this feel so familiar?

"Darn it! This is where I was caught last ti!"

Robert abruptly raised his head and looked at the other end of the bridge.

Last ti, it was precisely because two golems occupied both ends of the bridge and surrounded them that they had no way to escape.

This ti, would another golem also appear at the other side?

"No, it's impossible! White is still over on that side. He hasn't even made a single sound, he definitely hasn't been caught…"

In his panic, Robert completely failed to realise how strange it was that White 'hadn't made a single sound'.

At this urgent mont, he took out the magic card from the card pouch he carried with him and quickly recited the Normal Summoning Spell in silence.

Following the white light emitted from the magic card, a hideous Ratman with the height of a human appeared behind him, standing straight on two legs.

The left side of this magical spirit called [Cyborg Ratman] was made up of crude chanical structures, while rotting flesh constituted the right. It carried a box full of liquid acid on its back and a huge ejector in its hand.

[Card na: Cyborg Ratman]

[Type: Spirit card]

[Level: ✪✪]

[Race: ch-type]

[Attribute: Steel-type]

[Magic energy: 900]

[Attack: 900]

[Defence: 800]

[Ultimate: Acid Jet (酸液喷射)]

Under the command of its master, the hideous Cyborg Ratman raised the acid ejector and ferociously sprayed the Light Cavalry who was chasing after them.

However, after the highly corrosive acid was sprayed onto the Light Cavalry, it didn't cause the slightest harm and rely slid down like water.

The difference in levels between the two sides was way too great!

Robert didn't need to look back to know that this would be the outco. It had already been verified in this very sa place last ti.

At that ti, his Cyborg Ratman couldn't even last for a round and was instantly cut in half by the spinning force of the Light Cavalry's dual swords!

This ti, similarly, his Cyborg Ratman perford a reenactnt of the past.

……

Seeing the Cyborg Ratman promptly returning to the magic card in a ray of light amidst its miserable screech upon being cut in half, Robert felt no other emotion than fear.

The ti bought by Cyborg Ratman was shorter than he had expected.

If he wanted to summon another magic card, he had to wait for the cooldown ti to be over.

"White!"

Panicked, Robert hastily shouted out.

This was both a call for help and a warning.

He didn't know if White hadn't noticed the movents on this side because he was indulging in the land of tenderness, but he had to let him know either way.

Afterwards, White could decide for himself whether he would choose to flee or back him up.

But on the other side of the bridge, there was still not a single sound.

"Had White already gotten caught in such a short ti?"

This thought flashed by in an instant.

Robert's mind almost shut down.

"Did he co across a Dragon Cavalry?"

Despair invaded his mind.

……

From the window on the third floor, with a bird's eye view, Dark was watching Robert running on the bridge.

Up until now, he had yet to determine whether or not Robert had been parasitized by a vampire.

In a sense, everything they did tonight might probably be a waste of effort.

But if this possibility could be ruled out, the likelihood of another possibility would greatly increase.

In turn, the next thing they would have to do was to look for the Blood Princess.

Just as food should be eaten bite by bite, investigation should also be done step by step.

At this ti, he should just quietly watch the show.
