"I wanted to give us a more refreshing mory of this place," Damien answered. His hand was steady at the small of her back, protective even in this quiet mont. They broke past a small cluster of trees, and Luna’s breath caught when she saw it: a blanket spread carefully over the grass, a lantern casting a warm amber glow, and a pair of crystal glasses resting beside a bottle of wine.

"Oh, Damien..." Luna sighed, her heart swelling as she pressed a hand to her lips. "Now this is a vacation." The woods around them felt suddenly transford, the air gentler.

"Our lives have been one madness to the other," Damien admitted, his gaze never leaving her face. "We never had a date. I hope this counts as one."

"It counts as three," Luna said, her lips curving as she leaned closer, brushing her fingers lightly over his jaw.

Damien chuckled. He led her toward the blanket, guiding her down. She sank gracefully onto the soft fabric, tilting her head back to watch the lantern light shimr across the planes of his face. "Did Kyllian help you with this?" she asked, her curiosity too sharp to contain.

"Can we not inject that na into our date?" Damien groaned, rolling his eyes with exaggerated suffering. Yet, after a pause, his lips twitched into honesty. "But yes." He lowered himself beside her.

The confession made her laugh, her shoulders shaking as she leaned lightly against him. She could almost hear the unspoken thought echoing in his head—that even when Kyllian was helping, Damien wanted him nowhere near their monts of intimacy. The rivalry between them was as constant as the moon.

"Oh quit it," Luna teased, narrowing her eyes as she nudged his shoulder. "Admit it, you like him. If you didn’t, why did you ask him to help you with this?"

"I had no one else to ask," Damien said with a casual shrug. Luna laughed softly, biting her lip to hold back more teasing.

"This is so sweet, Damien." She leaned closer, brushing her fingers over his hand where it rested on the blanket. For once, she was just a woman looking at her man.

"You bring out the best in ," Damien admitted. His eyes locked on hers.

"It seems so long ago," she said, her gaze drifting briefly to the trees around them, rembering. "Being here, exhausted from the Blood Moon festival... sneaking out for a smoke only to find the man I was destined for." Her lips quirked in a rueful smile at the mory.

"Destined for," Damien repeated, rolling the words slowly on his tongue. "I like that."

"I like you," she whispered.

"I love you," Damien answered without hesitation. He leaned in and kissed her then. "I’ll love you for the rest of my life."

"That’s a long ti," Luna said, her smile trembling between teasing and overwheld. Her hand brushed against his jaw.

"Not long enough," Damien murmured, his mouth finding hers again. This ti, the kiss deepened, his hand sliding around her waist. He guided her down gently onto the picnic blanket, their bodies fitting together in a way that made destiny feel real and undeniable.

"I want you," he growled softly against her lips. His body hovered above hers.

"You have ," she whispered back. She arched into him, offering not just her body but everything—her love, her loyalty, her very soul.

He bent once more, his mouth sliding to her neck, leaving a trail of hot kisses that made her pulse pound in her ears. His free hand road down her body with agonizing slowness, skimming over the curves he knew too well, tugging at the fabric of her dress. He lifted it inch by inch, deliberately slow, savoring every reaction he drew from her. Luna bit her lip, her patience shattering.

She planted her feet flat against the ground, arching her hips up to et his touch, hurrying the process with bold insistence. Her action made him pause, his lips brushing her ear as he chuckled darkly.

"Impatient, my queen?" he teased.

"You’re too slow, my king," she shot back, her eyes glittering.

"Don’t make tie you down," Damien warned.

"Side effect of waiting too long to love you," she shot back.

His palm finally cupped her bare ass beneath the folds of her bunched-up dress. His hand was cold, kneading her. He squeezed gently, testing how much she could take before she snapped.

"Uhn..." Luna moaned. Her head tipped back against the blanket, her hair fanning out, her lips parted in surrender.

"Haven’t even started yet," Damien murmured, his mouth ghosting over her jaw. His fangs glinted in the lanternlight.

"Well, get on with it," she demanded, surprising herself with how desperate she sounded. A queen giving orders, yet begging at the sa ti. She wanted him. She always wanted him. And the fact that she could demand him, even as his dominance pressed down on her, was intoxicating.

Damien’s lips curved into a dangerous smile as he let down his fangs fully, lowering his head to graze her skin just above her breast. The sharp points teased, never piercing, dragging across her flesh in a way that made her pulse hamr. She arched instinctively, offering herself up.

With a growl of satisfaction, Damien hooked the edge of her bodice with his teeth and tugged. Fabric slid against skin, and her breasts spilled free into the night air. He pressed his face against her, inhaling her scent, groaning. "I love these," he sighed against her skin, almost undone. For a king who had everything, these were his treasures.

Luna’s fingers slipped into his dark hair. "You know what I love?" she asked. Her nails scraped lightly against his scalp, making him growl low in his chest.

"I can venture a guess," he said, his voice muffled against her chest as his tongue flicked over her nipple, "but I’d love to hear you say it."

"I love the feel of your cock," she whispered. Her cheeks flushed from the thrill of saying it out loud. "Oh, and the way it curves inside ."
