Mauve woke up with a stretch, groaning softly. She opened her eyes to see Jael staring down at her on the verge of laughing.

"Looks like soone slept well," he comnted.

She smiled sheepishly at him. "I could say the sa."

"I am not one to deny the truth, I did sleep well. You didn't say if you did or not."

"I did," she said and stuck out her tongue. "Now let it go."

Jael laughed, "I am glad you're energetic this morning. I was afraid that last night might slow you down a bit."

"Jael!" She yelled out in horror.

He laughed but she didn't share in his amusent. Wrapping the covers around her naked body, she got off the bed.

"Wait, you're leaving?" He asked in shock.

"Yes!" She replied.

Glaring at him, she walked away from the bed and to the connecting door. She didn't look back as she walked into her room.

Mauve sat in her bed and took a deep breath. Mill should be here in about a few minutes from now. Mauve could wait.

This ti around she would be dressed in sothing other than her nightdresses and Jael's shirts.

As Mauve predicted Mill did show up with a bath water within a short ti. She was careful with Mauve's skin as she scrubbed her clean.

She tried not to wash too hard around the skin that held the patches and Mauve appreciated this as her skin was a little delicate in these places.

Mill dried her clean, applied lotion on her body, and was about to pick another nightdress from her wardrobe when Mauve stopped Mill.

"What?" Mill asked with confusion written all over her face.

"I will eat at the dining table today, so a proper dress if you will," Mauve explained with pride.

Mill looked at her with a shocked expression. "You are? Are you well enough to do that?"

Mill crossed the room as she said this and was right next to Mauve where she sat by the dresser.

She moved her face closer, studying Mauve hard. Mauve wasn't sure what Mill was looking for but she found her stare a bit uncomfortable.

"I have been well enough to do that for a while now," she replied.

Mill gave her a stare of disbelief but she simply asked, "The Primus agreed to this?" She asked.

"Yes," Mauve said exasperated. Of course, they were all going to treat her delicately.

"Okay," Mill said and backed away.

"Thank you. Now can you pick a comfortable dress for , I'd appreciate that."

"Of course," Mill was saying and walking back to the wardrobe.

Mauve quickly covered her shocked expression. She had been expecting so argunt from the vampire but Mill had given in easily.

The dress Mill chose was acceptable in Mauve's terms. She took one look at it and she knew it was exactly what she wanted.

Mill helped her into it without saying anything. "Thank you," Mauve said as the dress clung to her body.

She did a little spin around the mirror. The blue dress caught the light and she could have sworn it glittered.

The dress was long enough to cover her feet, the sleeves were also long. It stopped below her elbow just enough to cover the white patches.

While spinning, the connecting door was thrown open and Jael walked in. Mauve stopped and shot him a look.

"Don't tell you're still angry at ?" Jael asked.

He was walking to Mauve as he spoke while Mill took a step away from Mauve with her head bent as she bowed to Jael.

"And if I am?" Mauve asked in return.

"I will do everything I can to change that," he said as he stopped in front of her. "I love your dress, it suits you."

He lightly touched one of her sleeves as he complinted her outfit. His eyes, however, flirtatiously road her figure.

Mauve blinked, his complint on her dress had caught her off guard. "Thank you," she said with a bright smile.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked, his tone sounded distracted.

She nodded eagerly and Mauve almost scolded herself. She couldn't believe she was letting him off the hook that easily simply because of one complint.

Well, it was easy to do that. It wasn't as if she was angry, she was just embarrassed and annoyed that he had no reservations about teasing her about sothing like that.

He stretched out his elbow to her and she slipped her hand through it. She leaned into him and he led her to the door.

She turned back as they got to the door and waved Mill goodbye just as they slipped out the door.

Jael led her to the stairs and they were in front of the dining hall in no ti. The guards bowed even before Jael got close enough, throwing the doors open.

Mauve clung closer to Jael as they both walked through the open door. She squinted at the lights, her eyes taking a second to adjust.

She could see everyone already on their feet and Louis was looking at them with a shocked expression on his face but it wasn't only Louis who had that look on his face.

Mauve couldn't bla them, during the entirety of the ti she was sick, Jael only ate with her. This was the first ti he would make an appearance in the dining hall.

"I didn't think you are already well enough to join us," Louis said before she sat down.

"Sorry to disappoint," she said with a grin.

"I am pleased to be disappointed. I am glad you could join us," he said and took his seat.

Jael gave Louis a cold stare and Louis looked away just as quickly as he stared at him.

Danag spoke to her next expressing his joy at her presence and that she was better. She thanked him.

Damon rely nodded at her while Erick glanced her way a couple of tis. He didn't say a word but at least his gaze wasn't hostile.
