Chapter 339: Chapter 339: Ominous Premonition Chapter 339: Chapter 339: Ominous Premonition “Lady Zhong, what is this—” Zhu Yu took a step forward, unable to help himself from speaking.

For he could distinctly feel his own body becoming even more uncomfortable, even his waist seed to have bent sowhat, and, moreover, breathing seed to have beco a bit more difficult.

“This is what you all should bear,” Zhong Niangyao glanced at Zhu Yu, then at the other Zhu Family mbers and spoke slowly, “If you haven’t done anything wrong, then presumably you wouldn’t feel anything. If you’ve done too many bad deeds, then this is the retribution you deserve.”

Her words turned the faces of the Zhu Family mbers from green to red, as they wanted to say sothing in their own defense. But thinking of Zhong Niangyao’s masterful mystical technique, they lost their nerve.

Ignoring the Zhu Family, Zhong Niangyao looked towards the Five Ghosts and continued, “Alright, I will now bestow upon you the rit from the Zhu Family’s donation of their property.”

On hearing Zhong Niangyao’s words, the spirits of the Five Ghosts imdiately lifted. If they still had a body temperature at that mont, their faces would surely be very red.

Zhong Niangyao raised her hand, her hands rapidly forming Seals, while her mouth kept on chanting spells.

To the astonishnt of everyone present, bits of golden light began to rise from the bodies of the Zhu Family mbers. The golden light slowly rose, gathering in mid-air to form a ball of golden radiance, then slowly descended into Zhong Niangyao’s hands. The dazzling light made it nearly impossible for everyone present to keep their eyes open.

The Five Ghost’s eyes, however, were wider than brass bells, their gazes filled with intense longing. This golden light was the rit Light, and it was also their hope for entering the Reincarnation Path.

Zhong Niangyao glanced at the Five Ghosts, her expression under the illumination of the golden light solemn and dignified, emanating a sense of sacred inviolability.

“Are you ready?”

The Five Ghosts hastily responded affirmatively.

Zhong Niangyao raised her hand, slowly pushing forward.

That ball of golden light, as if having found its target, flew directly towards the Five Ghosts, then scattered over their heads like rain, specks of golden light falling upon them.

“All worlds in the ten directions, the vastness above and below, omnipresent, manifesting without absence, I respectfully invite the Lord of Hell to graciously descend,” Zhong Niangyao continued chanting the spell as her hands ford Seals.

The temperature in the Zhu household plumted once more, giving the feeling of being in a cold storage. Although it was daylight, the lighting also darkened, and the living room instantly beca gloomy, causing everyone to shiver involuntarily.

Soon, wisp after wisp of mist drifted out within the living room, and then two ghostly figures, one black and one white, appeared inside. The tall hat of the white ghostly figure had “wealth” written on it, while the hat of the black ghostly figure had “World Peace.”

The appearance of these two ghostly figures made all the living people present feel chilled to the bone, as if their souls were about to leave their bodies.

The Five Ghosts had also completely lost their previous composure, their entire ghosts beginning to shiver involuntarily.

“Lord Hei, Lord Bai, how co both of you have arrived together today?” Zhong Niangyao had already lowered her hands, her face showing confusion, “This matter shouldn’t be that significant, should it?”

It was just five little ghosts going to be reincarnated, and yet Black and White Impermanence both ca—was it really such a big deal?

“Lady Zhong, we have official duties to attend to,” spoke Bai Wuchang, his voice eerie, “Since you were summoning the Netherworld ssenger, we took the opportunity to co by.”

“I see,” Zhong Niangyao nodded in understanding, “Then, have I delayed your business?”

“The business is already concluded,” Black Impermanence joined in, “We are just on our way back to hell, so we ca by to take these five little ghosts down with us.”

Zhong Niangyao nodded, then said, “Lord Hei, Lord Bai, these five little ghosts are indeed pitiable. Due to various reasons, they have been unable to reincarnate, and the original idea was for the Zhu Family mbers to accumulate rit for them to open the path to Reincarnation. However, due to the Zhu Family’s selfishness and wrongdoings, they almost caused these five to never be able to reincarnate again.”

She felt pity for the Five Ghosts, which is why she went out of her way to explain a few words on their behalf. Fortunately, the Five Ghosts had not been tainted with human lives, which was why they still had the chance to be reincarnated.

“Lady Zhong, rest assured,” Black Impermanence spoke, “Whether it’s their actions in life or after death, everything is recorded in the Book of Life and Death. King Yan will surely treat them fairly.”

Zhong Niangyao nodded, bowed her hands in respect, “Then I leave it in the hands of you two lords.”

Seeing Zhong Niangyao’s gesture, Black and White Impermanence hastily returned the courtesy.

Very soon, Black and White Impermanence left with the Five Ghosts.

After they left, the temperature in the living room instantly returned to normal.

The Zhu Family mbers couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, and when they looked at Zhong Niangyao, their eyes were filled with awe.

Before, they only knew that Zhong Niangyao was highly skilled in mystical techniques, but now they had witnessed her familiarity with the Netherworld ssengers.

This was certainly not a small matter; although they had little understanding of mystical techniques, they knew that summoning a Netherworld ssenger was by no ans an easy feat.

Recalling his previous disdain for Zhong Niangyao, Zhu Yu couldn’t help feeling regretful. If he had shown her more respect from the beginning, would everything be different now?

He dared not continue thinking further, afraid his unwillingness would only grow stronger.

Regardless of what the Zhu Family mbers truly thought, Zhong Niangyao didn’t mind in the least, she turned her head to look at Zhu Yu and spoke, “Now that the matter is settled, I will take my leave.”

With that, she turned to leave.

“Lady Zhong, please wait,” Zhu Yu hurriedly called out to Zhong Niangyao.

Seeing that Zhong Niangyao had no intention of stopping, Zhu Yu quickly stepped forward, blocking Zhong Niangyao’s path.

“You are blocking my way,” Zhong Niangyao said indifferently, but her tone was resolute.

“Lady Zhong, I have no intention of stopping you,” Zhu Yu hurriedly said, “I just have sothing I need to verify with you.”

Zhong Niangyao raised an eyebrow, her hands in her pockets, standing there, quietly looking at Zhu Yu, but she didn’t respond.

Zhu Yu couldn’t fathom what Zhong Niangyao was thinking, he gritted his teeth, then spoke, “Lady Zhong, I just want you to assure that this matter is truly settled.”

With such a huge cost, donating so much wealth, wasn’t it all to protect the family? Although the Five Ghosts had now gone to be reincarnated, he couldn’t understand why he still felt uneasy, as if so misfortune was about to happen.
