Chapter 315: Professor

At Country A, Raine woke up early as she prepared herself to go to the university and have so fun. Wearing a casual attire that perfectly fit and hugged her voluptuous, she had decided to wear a wig with long, straight, shining, ash-brown hair for a perfect disguise.

"Wow, who would’ve thought that I’m pregnant with a body like this?" Raine murmured to herself with a seductive smile as she looked at her own reflection in her bedroom. She even fluttered her long perfectly curved lashes covering her expressive sharp eyes, making her give off an alluring and seductive look.

Gently caressing her tummy, she then pouted as she uttered, "Hah, your father probably can’t wait for

to get fluffy already, but I feel like I’ll disappoint him, right?" She chuckled, "No matter how much I eat, I simply can’t gain weight that easily."

Content with her perfect disguise as a professor, Raine finally went out of her room. From there, she then sniffed sothing good and mouth-watering.

"What’s that sll?" she murmured as she followed the delicious sll. "It slls so good..."

Letting her feet carry her, she inevitably saw her father in the kitchen.

"Wow, you really can cook?" Raine asked as she sat by the kitchen counter. "What’re you cooking?"

"You said you’re pregnant and told

to cook sothing considered healthy for a pregnant woman," Lark explained as he put a filled bowl in front of her and handed her a spoon. "For my future granddaughter, I made this."

"Chicken noodle soup?" Raine murmured.

"I added more vegetables in it," Lark replied. "Eat more of it instead of only eating pasta."

He then poured her so hot milk. Excitedly, Raine tried out her food. "Hmm, it tastes yummy," she bead.

If that wasn’t all, her father had also prepared her so sandwiches packed in a box. The gesture made Raine’s heart lt. She felt like she was back in the old days when parents would often prepare als for their children just like what she often saw in tv dramas. It felt so nice to be pampered like this.

"Let’s go together," Lark said after they’ve finished their breakfast. "I’ll drive."

Raine nodded, and soon enough, they’ve arrived at the university. Giving each other a small nod, Raine and Lark promptly their separate ways. She got out of the car first, then Lark followed a few minutes behind her. He was enrolled in Raine’s class, but the two would act as if they didn’t know each other to keep to their cover.

Flashing her sweetest smile, Raine entered the room and greeted her so-called students. Her eyes then promptly narrowed as she assessed everyone inside. A beat later, she looked at Rui, whose face was currently getting paler the longer he stared at her.

’Ah, still the sa Rui as before,’ she amusingly thought. ’Look at those suspicious eyes of his...’

It had been a long ti since she last saw Rui, Xander Yang’s best friend. Funny how small the world was, with the notorious wanted werewolf that they’ve been hunting having his eyes trained on Cali.

Balon was no ordinary werewolf. He was able to perform spells to change his human appearance, making it harder for them to track him using conventional ans. Still, they sohow managed to find him, which led them to Rui and Cali by coincidence. Nevertheless, Raine needed to ensure Rui and Cali’s safety despite what was going to happen.

With a small breath, Raine settled herself on her table before she finally introduced herself.

"Good morning1 Wow! I have a small group here, which is a good thing cause this ans that I can easily rember your nas," Raine began with her acting smile on her face.

"By the way, I’m professor Candice Yao, and I’ll be handling this particular subject about the plants we all use for cooking along with their benefits. We’ll also be covering whether or not so of them could also be harmful to the human body. Cooking is a very important skill after all, and using proper and beneficial ingredients will make it even better."

Raine tried to control the laughter that was threatening to show up on her face whenever her eyes would dart toward Rui’s direction. He had this vivid expression on his face that just told her what he was thinking. ’Seriously?! What are you up to now, woman?!’ he probably thought.

Feeling lucky, she continued to taunt him by flashing her a mischievous smile every now and then in his direction. She then seriously began her lecture, and she ended the class just as perfectly as she planned. Sitting on her seat with a smile, she watched everyone leave the room except for her father, who had remained seated on his chair as he waited for her to go out first.

Giving her father a smile, Raine soon went out and saw Rui with Cali seemingly having an argunt with one another. She was itching to have fun with a long-ti friend, so perhaps there was sothing to be had here?

Smirking, Raine walked towards the couple with a wide smile on her face. "Mr. ddler... It’s been quite a while!" she happily greeted. "Long ti no see, huh?"

Seeing her, Rui forced a smile and uttered, "It’s good to see you again."

"Oh, you’re with-"

"Yeah, Cali... my patient..." Rui quickly interrupted. "You see, she had a second major brain surgery just a few months ago, which resulted in her having lost most of her mories for the past few years. In particular, she forgot her days from when she returned to country D."

He rambled on, "Her case is very sensitive, and every ti she tries to recall sothing, she ends up with a severe headache. As a result, her grandfather hired

to be with her full-ti and take care of her. So I’m here as her private doctor, taking care of her in every way possible. I had even proposed that Cali stay with

in my house instead of a hostel or in her own separate accommodation."

"That is one hell of an introduction, Dr. ddler," Raine responded with an amused chuckle. "I was actually just expecting you to ntion her na and introduce her to ."

She already knew why Rui gave her that introduction. It was so that she wouldn’t make the mistake of ntioning anything to Cali about her forgotten mories. She was well aware of the current situation between Rui and Cali but seeing him panic like this only made her want to tease him even more.

With a smirk, she leaned into Rui’s ear and whispered, "I asked Doctor Xander about you, and he told

everything that happened, so don’t worry..." She giggled, "I’m pretty aware of what’s going on."

Cali promptly coughed to remind them of her presence. She then extended her hand out and tried to be polite. "Hello, Professor. It’s nice to et you."

"Oh, sweetie. I’m glad to see you... I an, et you again," Raine replied with her beautiful smile. Seeing her now, she suddenly felt bad upon seeing how uncomfortable Rui was at the mont. As such, she decided not to torture the man too much anymore. "We should grab so coffee like old tis, Mr. ddler!! I’ll call you when I have the ti."

"Oh, and you can bring Cali along, of course," she added as she noticed the way Cali frowned. "By the way, just call

Candice whenever we’re out of the classroom."

Cali simply nodded as Rui then grabbed her hand and said to Raine, "We’ll be going on ahead."

Raine nodded, a playful grin on her face as she watched the couple as they left. "I guess I’m gonna have fun again while completing my task here..." Raine excitedly murmured.
