Clara looked up at Santiago in surprise, wondering how he could see through her.
"How did you..."
"How did I know your thoughts?"
Santiago smiled and said, "I’m an actor, and being observant is a skill we need."
Clara lowered her head in embarrassnt.
"I’m sorry.You must think I’m an idiot."
"Why would I?"
Santiago said gently, "I think there’s sothing very pure in you.It’s hard for to find that in the entertainnt circle, so don’t doubt yourself.You’re much more outstanding than them!"
Clara’s gloominess instantly disappeared, and she felt happy again.
"Mr.Dalton, let show you around the house..."
She behaved like a host and showed him around the house.
"This is the kitchen where we cook.This is the cow’s shed...Bessie is about to give birth, so the place is a bit stinky at the mont.This is where we have our activities.If you’re bored, you can lay in this hammock and read.I love this area the best.Oh...The pond opposite us is nice too.I heard that there are a lot of mudfish in it, and I even thought of catching and cooking them."
Santiago walked behind her.

He smiled and winked at her.
Clara was bewitched, and just let him do as he wished.She walked into the crowd and said, "Ladies and gentlen, we’re in for a treat today.Mr.Dalton is going to catch mudfish and fry them for us.Isn’t that amazing?"
When she said that, all the won were elated.
They wanted to catch mudfish with Santiago.
Adam felt that it was a good environnt.He discussed it with the villagers who drained the water from the pond so they could catch the mudfish.
Both Clara and Santiago led the group.
They changed their clothes and went down to the pond.
The other stars were reluctant at first, but they were eager to perform well since the cara was rolling.
They braced themselves and followed Clara and Santiago.
At last, Ethan and Shirley reached the bank.
They seed out of place.
Shirley kept her head low and punched her legs.Her eyes were watery.
"My legs fail .I can’t go anywhere and do anything, and now you’re forced to stay here to keep company.I’m so sorry..."
Ethan put his hands in his pockets quietly, and watched the happy crowd from afar coldly.
Even animals would be frightened by his nacing aura.
"They look so happy, especially Miss Blackwell and Santiago.They get along so well that people may mistake them for a couple.Santiago looks very friendly too and isn’t as aloof as they say he is.Miss Blackwell is indeed very attractive and charming."
Shirley looked at them and smiled, purposely making matters worse.
"She’s indeed very attractive."
Ethan finally broke his silence and spoke.He turned to look at Shirley.
"If she wasn’t, you wouldn’t be so concerned about her."
Shirley’s expression changed, and she said awkwardly, "What...What do you an?"
"Aren’t I right? You always talk about how she’s a perfect match for others, and you watch her closely.Doesn’t that an that you care about her? Are you attracted to her?"
"Ethan, are you kidding ? Are you angry because I’m talking about her?" Shirley sneered.
"I’m telling the truth—she looks like the perfect match for Santiago.You can ask others if you don’t believe .Don’t vent your anger on , and you don’t have to stay here with either.I can’t accept such an honor."
"You’re overthinking," Ethan scoffed.
"I’m not staying here for you.I just hate watery mud, so I don’t want to go.It has nothing to do with you, so stop flattering yourself."

Shirley did not expect him to humiliate her like that, and for a mont, she didn’t know how to react.Helplessness engulfed her.It seed as if he was destined to walk far away from her regardless of what thods she used.He would no longer put her above everything else like before.
anwhile, all the celebrities were having great fun catching mudfish in the pond.They also started to gossip.
"Look! Mr.Stuart is so considerate.He stays with Shirley like a guardian so she doesn’t get upset.That’s true love!"
"Shirley is good at nothing but controlling Mr.Stuart.As long as she does that, she’ll have a spot in the entertainnt circle..."

Clara felt very frustrated as she listened to them, and started digging in the mud wildly to vent her frustrations.She kept on digging to try and catch a mudfish, but the only thing she got was a face full of mud.
"Ah, my eyes!"
She wailed as she stumbled back, unable to see because of the mud in her eyes.She fell over, looking very pitiful.
"Be careful!"
Santiago strode over and helped her up.
"Are you okay?"
"There’s sothing in my eyes!"
She kept her eyes closed and felt very embarrassed.

Suddenly, she felt soone carry her.
"Ah, Mr.Dalton, I’m fine.I just need to rest.I can’t let you carry ,"
Clara protested, but she still hugged his neck tightly.She would never let go of such a golden opportunity.
