There were only two seats at the back and one seat beside Clara on their way back.
Clara blushed and said to Santiago, "Mr.Dalton, you can sit with if you’re okay with it.Don’t worry, my driving skills are very good.The car won’t turn over, I promise."
Santiago was amused by Clara.He sipped his water, his perfect facial features even more attractive under the sunlight.He scratched his thick hair and said, "It’s fine.I’m not afraid of the car turning over."
"How coy!"
Ethan brushed past Santiago and took the front seat casually.
"He’s a star who earns money using his charms, so he can’t take such a risk.I’d better sit here.After all, I don’t need my face to earn money."
His actions and words made everyone feel awkward.
Clara clenched her fists angrily and gritted her teeth.
"How shaless!"
Santiago looked at Clara and Ethan, then raised his brows and smiled.
"Mr.Stuart, I’ll sit at the back since you like this spot so much."
"How sensible of you."
Ethan glanced at Santiago in disdain.
Santiago put his hands in his pockets and t Ethan’s gaze challengingly.
"After all, I’ll have a lot of chances to sit there in the future."
Adam broke into a cold sweat and laughed nervously.
"Gentlen, it’s just the shotgun seat of a pickup.Should I take it if both of you don’t want to?"
One of them was a big shot and the other was a top star.
Adam was rely a director of a variety show, so he couldn’t afford to offend either.
"Don’t you dare!"
Ethan glared at Adam as if he had told him he was taking his throne.
Santiago patted Adam’s shoulders and smiled.
"Adam, it’s better to not get involved."
"Oh, I guess I spoke out of turn.I’m sorry."
Adam sat down and kept quiet, not wanting to ddle in that ss ever again.
Ethan had ruined Clara’s chance to sit with her idol, so she looked sullen.She drove wildly until Ethan was forced to lean against her.
"Hey, slow down.I can’t take it if you drive so fast!"
He grabbed her arm and tried to persuade her nervously.
"I haven’t even started but you already can’t take it, huh?"
She glared at him.
"Why did you sit here if you couldn’t take it? You shouldn’t overestimate yourself.It serves you right, coward!"
If not for him, Santiago would be leaning against her and asking for her protection now.The more she thought about it, the angrier she beca.
"Can’t you control your speed? It’ll be safer and more comfortable if you slow down." Ethan frowned.
"But I’m not comfortable.I like to go fast," she replied seriously.
Both Santiago and Adam exchanged awkward glances at the back as they caught bits and pieces of the conversation.
Santiago asked hesitantly, "What exactly are they talking about?"
Adam said quickly, "Just stop listening to them and pretend we know nothing."
After a bumpy ride, they finally arrived at the house.
Everyone ca over to welco them.
Although Santiago was young, he was powerful and influential in the entertainnt circle.It was mainly because of his outstanding aura and perfect face, but he also had exceptional acting skills.
The other young celebrities were infatuated with him too.
"I heard that Santiago is coming.Finally, I can see the mysterious top actor up close!"
"Wow, I’m so lucky to be able to film a show with him.I have to perform well..."
"It’s useless even if you perform well.Mr.Dalton is very aloof, so people can’t even talk much with him.You’d better not waste your ti."
While they were talking, they saw Santiago and Adam get out of the pickup.
"Ah, he’s indeed a top actor! He’s so handso even while getting out of a pickup.Why is there such a perfect man?"
Myra, the newly promoted star, looked at Santiago dreamily, then enthusiastically went to him.
"Mr.Dalton, welco.You must be tired from your journey.Let take your luggage for you."
She tried to take Santiago’s backpack but he frowned and said coldly, "I’m sorry, I don’t like strangers touching my things."
"Er..."
Myra’s face turned red in embarrassnt.
As expected, he was aloof...but not annoying.How flawless! Clara parked the pickup and leaped out of it.
When she saw Santiago carrying a black backpack, she quickly ran over.
"Mr.Dalton, you’re a guest.You had a long and tiring journey, so you shouldn’t carry that backpack yourself.Let help you."
"Sure, thank you."
Santiago smiled gently and handed his backpack to her.He even rubbed her head dotingly, making the other female stars quite jealous.
"How co she gets to carry his backpack? What’s that about?"
Myra stood at the back and stamped her feet angrily.
Ethan had both hands in his pockets.He comnted lightly, "It’s just him trying to look good, don’t fall for it like her."
"Ah, Mr.Stuart."
Myra batted her eyelashes at Ethan, acting like a lovestruck fool.
Although she suffered a defeat with Santiago, it was nice to get Ethan’s attention.
"Ethan!"
Shirley went to Ethan with her assistant’s support and said weakly, "Why did you co back so late? I thought sothing happened to you.It’s so hot outside, and you’re sweating."
She took out her silk scarf and carefully wiped away the sweat on his forehead.It looked so intimate and natural that it was almost like she was announcing to the others that she shared a special relationship with him.
As expected, the surrounding onlookers started gossiping.
"They’re so lovey-dovey.It looks like they’re back together again.The top kiss-ass of the City is back."
"Shirley is indeed quite capable."
"Yeah, there was a rumor going around that they had broken up, but it looks like Mr.Stuart forgave her.He’s indeed the top kiss-ass of the City."Although they spoke softly, Clara heard them.She turned around and saw Shirley wiping Ethan’s sweat for him.For so reason, her heart ached, and she clenched her fists.Santiago walked alongside her.
He glanced at Ethan and Shirley, then asked Clara softly, "Are you okay?"
"Yes, of course.What could be wrong?"
"That’s great."
Santiago touched her head again.
"Don’t let unworthy people affect your mood."
