On the solemn divine throne, the container into which will was being infused gazed toward the Divine Long Staircase.

Boundless pain, combined with the enlightennt that transcended that pain, together forged that formidable psychic power.

He rembered that psychic power.

Qi Shiming rembered the one who died and revived faster than him.

The container stored his na.

“Mo Wen.”

A monster from another world, a formidable enemy the Corporation could not kill despite their utmost efforts, a disruptive force blocking the smooth resurrection...

A kind, steadfast man who had suffered greatly.

Even though his complete resurrection was still far off, the small part of Qi Shiming that had just entered the container could not help but take action.

In front of the new ruler of the Mortal Divine Kingdom, space twisted, and Mo Wen directly reached the divine throne.

No, it was no longer a divine throne.

When Qi Shiming’s will descended upon this container nad Zero, even though only a small part of him returned, that divinity was still strongly dispersed by overwhelming humanity.

On an ordinary chair, a man stood up to greet Mo Wen.

He bore no dazzling sacred radiance, no evident perfect goodness, only a simple kindness, plain like a good neighbor willing to lend a hand with a casual greeting.

He said regretfully, “My consciousness was a bit unclear just now; I didn’t notice you imdiately.”

“I already know about the conflict between the Corporation and you all. I cannot represent the Corporation, only myself, so I apologize to you and will do my best to make ands.”

“Co, sit.”

He waved casually, and an identical chair appeared beside Mo Wen.

When Mo Wen sat down, he felt a warm light penetrate him, trying to suppress his uncontrollable psychic energy. Although it could not completely erase the negative effects, it made him feel much better.

Then, Mo Wen heard the man in front of him start rambling.

“I also know that at the ti, many couldn’t accept my death, but there really was no other way; only I could withstand that scene.”

“But, in the end, I ca back.”

“The past can only be left behind. Since it’s like this anyway, what can be done? We’ll change things slowly.”

“Killing three billion people at once, with all of it exposed, even if the intensity of the subsequent war is kept within reasonable limits, the impact on the entire civilization is enormous.”

“The power to heal death and resurrect life does not perfectly fit modern human civilization. Not resurrecting ans a huge loss of quality population for no reason. But rashly resurrecting will lead to extre personal worship and cause a strong shock to the concept of death, so careful planning is needed.”

“I don’t mind using my own power to reshape the world, but I hate theocracy and dictatorship, especially since I’ve witnessed how so guys went mad trying to resurrect .”

“My thoughts aren’t always right. Civilization needs more thoughtful people; every era should have its own guides.”

“The wisdom of elders can be referenced, but eternal rulers an ideological stagnation, and long-term intense work isn’t good for either.”

“I am part of civilization and willing to contribute, but not everything should be my job. I shouldn’t have to work twenty-four hours a day with no personal life, then be dragged back to work even after death.”

“There are also many problems with the approach... The Corporation created Zero hoping to use the consciousness network to unify everyone, connecting all people into an unprecedented super psychic entity and then distributing power from it. That’s a good idea, but there are many loopholes. For example, I still can’t disconnect people from the network, so there are all sorts of ssy noises bothering my ears.”

“Based on your ‘spirit root,’ humans can also develop new technical systems. It’s not perfectly compatible with psychic power, but it can continuously adapt and evolve, with great potential.”

In front of Mo Wen, that man who was passionate and heroic in the script CG, regarded by all major companies as a pioneer of humanity, whose corpse replaced the sun to illuminate all beings—this planet’s greatest and strongest man—complained bitterly.

He spoke of the troubles in handling the current situation, the difficulties in choosing the future, regrets over people’s deaths, acknowledged everyone’s contributions, and criticized the mistakes of the Corporation and the major companies.

“Ah, I was just shouting about launching a knockout blow against the capitalist system. Since demons can wear monk robes, naturally Buddhas can wear demon skins.”

“And it really got distorted into what it is now, but to be honest, so problems can only be solved by new technology. Civilization’s progress doesn’t care about the tears of those eliminated; sympathy cannot change the fundantal laws.”

“But likewise, technology can’t simply change human nature either. Both must combine to advance quickly and well. Even new humans need a good environnt to grow into what they are now.”

“Ah, speaking of those good kids. They proved humanity’s determination to resist. Their resistance will beco a model for future generations.”

“We must never allow powerful monsters to run wild just because of so verbal ideals.”

Mo Wen listened attentively, gaining a clearer understanding of Qi Shiming.

Qi Shiming was indeed a man of firm will, striving desperately to make everything better.

He had his own convictions and unshakable bottom lines but was open to others’ opinions and never thought himself absolutely right. Of course, he could not tolerate pure fools without logic and would not abandon his own correct path just because others sounded convincing.

He had great love for humanity as a whole and also cared about each individual. He was passionate about grand changes but never ignored minor issues in drastic transformations and never sacrificed the big picture for small gains. He didn’t believe he had to shoulder all problems alone.

He would not brutally abandon the eliminated nor suppress the better ones. He did not consider sacrifice an absolute necessity nor blindly opposed sacrifice.

In his heart, he had his own place—not too prominent, not too hidden, enough to take responsibility without being overwheld by it.

Is he a perfect man? Definitely not.

But he was a leader with responsibility and ability, a considerate friend, a friendly stranger.

The problems caused by the Corporation’s design flaws did not disturb Qi Shiming at all. He remained open, willing to listen, willing to seek help and opinions from others, unlike others who borrowed Zero’s power and beca extre.

Mo Wen had to admit, even though Qi Shiming himself said resistance was a good thing, resistance was really unnecessary.

The Corporation successfully resurrected Qi Shiming, bringing an almost perfect result.

Only...

“What will beco of ?”

Qi Shiming looked at this moving corpse, this Death-Denier driven by obsession, and did not choose to lie.

“Sorry, I can’t save you.”

“Uncontrolled psychic power is still an incurable disease, and the current resurrection system cannot sustain you.”

“Also... unfortunately, my intuition tells that the whole world is rejecting you.”
