CHEN YU’S VILLA

Chen Yu stepped into the marble foyer of his grand villa, Chaewon quietly following at his side. The space was serene—until a sudden ripple of dark energy split the air. Hui materialized right in front of them, her crimson eyes gleaming dangerously as she glared up at Chen.

"This isn’t another woman for your little harem, is it?" she snapped, voice low and cold. "Because if she is... I’ll tear you apart myself."

Chen Yu sighed, rubbing his temples as he t Hui’s fierce gaze. "Hui, calm down. It’s not like that. She’s my new disciple."

Hui’s eyes flicked to Chaewon, narrowing as she scanned her from head to toe. "Disciple, huh?" she drawled, circling the newcor like a predator sizing up prey. "Long black hair, a body most n would kill for, and that frosty aura... is this your type, Chen Yu?"

Chen Yu rolled his eyes. "It’s not like that," he repeated firmly, voice edged with annoyance. "She’s the eighth mber of our team for the upper realm. End of discussion."

But Hui wasn’t done. She stepped closer to Chaewon, her gaze sharp as a blade. "Don’t you think she’s... too weak?" she asked, her tone like poison-laced honey.

A flicker of anger flashed in Chaewon’s cool eyes. Though her expression stayed composed, her voice was icy. "I don’t know what a little kid like you is doing here right now," she said evenly, "but you should at least learn to respect your elders."

A dangerous silence fell.

Suddenly, Hui’s body shimred. Her small fra twisted and stretched, darkness rippling off her as she transford into her adult form—a stunning, statuesque beauty exuding raw demonic power. The air itself seed to recoil from her aura. She lood over Chaewon, her lips curled in a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

"Were you saying sothing... disciple?" Hui purred, her voice a rich contralto that dripped with nace. "Even your master wouldn’t dare speak to like that."

Chen Yu lifted a hand, about to intervene—but stopped himself. He sighed inwardly. This might actually help Chaewon understand what kind of allies she’ll have... and what power she’ll need to survive the upper realm.

Chaewon’s eyes widened slightly but she stood her ground. "Then let’s find out who should respect whom," she said, her voice low but unwavering.

A sharp crack of energy pulsed as the two launched into motion. Hui moved with blinding speed, her figure a blur. Chaewon barely had ti to chant a barrier spell before Hui’s fist collided with it, shattering the glowing shield like fragile glass.

Chaewon staggered back, but her eyes flashed with determination. Golden light poured from her hands as she cast successive buffs on herself, then sent spears of holy light hurtling toward Hui.

Hui danced between them effortlessly, moving with inhuman grace. Her smile widened as she flicked a finger, conjuring shadows that swallowed the holy attacks whole. "Is that all, little priest?" she teased, vanishing in a swirl of black mist only to reappear behind Chaewon with a lazy kick that sent her skidding across the marble floor.

Chaewon coughed, blood staining her lip, but her eyes still burned with defiance. She pushed herself up and began a complex chant, radiant sigils spiraling around her. Hui let her finish, tilting her head with an amused gleam.

A massive pillar of holy light crashed down toward Hui—but she simply raised a hand, and a vortex of void energy swallowed the divine attack. Hui stepped forward, face almost bored now. "You have skill," she admitted, her tone cold. "But you lack the power to make it matter."

With a flicker, Hui appeared in front of Chaewon again, stopping just short of striking. The air between them buzzed with killing intent, but Hui let it hang there—unspent, like a predator toying with prey.

Chen Yu watched in silence from the side, arms folded, his expression unreadable. She’s trying her hardest... but the gap is too big. Still, this will teach her what kind of strength she’ll need.

Chaewon’s breathing grew ragged. She realized, with a sinking feeling, that her strongest spells barely scratched Hui—and Hui wasn’t even trying.

Hui’s eyes glittered as she leaned down. "Consider this your first lesson," she murmured. "Power alone isn’t enough. You need power that can dominate."

Chaewon’s hands trembled. If even one mber of Chen Yu’s team is this powerful... just what kind of monsters am I surrounded by?

She swallowed her pride, masking it with her usual calm expression. But deep inside, a cold resolve ignited. I have to beco stronger. Strong enough that even she can’t look down on .

Hui straightened, brushing imaginary dust from her dress as if the fight had been a casual warmup. She glanced at Chen Yu and smirked. "Satisfied?"

Chen Yu nodded. "Very. Now both of you, enough. We don’t have ti to waste."

The room fell silent. But one thing was certain: Chaewon now understood exactly what kind of storm she had stepped into.

CHEN YU’S VILLA – GRAND HALL

Moonlight stread through towering glass windows, painting the marble floor in pale silver. At Chen Yu’s summons, his allies assembled one by one around the massive obsidian table at the heart of the grand hall. The air thrumd with power, each mber’s presence distinct yet unified under Chen’s leadership.

Lei iyun and Bai Ruxue stood together, their gazes sharp with purpose. Roman, stoic and silent, leaned against a stone column, his armored silhouette imposing even in repose. Vornark, the colossal Beast King, curled himself at the far end of the hall, his massive form blending into the shadows. Hui’er appeared in her adult form at Chen’s right, a faint smirk playing on her lips as she studied the gathering. Chaewon stood at Chen’s side, her eyes still glinting with lingering defiance but also curiosity.

Chen Yu stepped forward, his expression calm yet fierce. His voice cut through the silence like a blade:

"The world outside is changing faster than ever. Neo-Terra is not just a new planet—it’s a battlefield where only the strong will survive. And we will not rely survive. We will dominate."

A ripple of focused energy spread through the group.

Chen Yu raised his hand, summoning a translucent screen above the table. One by one, he displayed each ally’s stats, their power laid bare before everyone:

Ling Ling and Chaewon, standing nearest to Chen Yu, watched the stats appear but found themselves absent from the list—neither had yet reached SR, a clear reminder of how far they still had to go.

Chen Yu’s gaze swept over them all, unwavering. "These stats are not just numbers. They are a asure of your ability to protect yourselves—and . iyun, Ruxue, Roman—you three have not yet reached SR. That must change."

He extended his hand, and a shimring sphere of compressed energy appeared, pulsing softly with a golden light. With a sweep of his palm, the sphere expanded, casting runes that embedded themselves into the floor. A translucent do of energy rose around the villa’s sprawling training hall, visible through the archways.

"This is a Ti Barrier," Chen Yu announced. "Inside it, one day outside equals three months of training ti. You will stay inside until you reach SR or beyond."

Roman’s eyes glead for the first ti, a rare spark of excitent in his stoic face. iyun and Ruxue exchanged determined nods. Even Vornark’s claws dug into the marble, his tail flicking in anticipation.

Chen Yu turned to Hui’er, who looked both amused and intrigued. "Hui, you will train Chaewon inside the barrier. She must learn fast, and only you can push her to the brink without killing her."

Hui rolled her eyes dramatically. "I don’t know if she can handle it, but fine. I’ll train your precious little disciple. But if she cries, it’s not my fault."

Chaewon’s jaw tightened, her eyes flashing cold defiance. "I won’t cry. I’ll prove myself."

iyun stepped forward, glancing from Chaewon to Hui with a faint smirk. "Just don’t die, Miss Holy Priest. Hui’s training makes a dragon’s trial look like a picnic."

Ruxue added softly, "But if you survive... you’ll beco stronger than you ever imagined."

Vornark rumbled in agreent, his voice a deep growl. "Power cos to those who endure."

Chen Yu’s eyes flicked to each ally. "While Hui trains Chaewon, I will leave to find the last two disciples we need. When I return, I expect you all to have broken through your current limits."

He paused, his gaze lingering on each face, the weight of his expectations hanging heavy. "I need you all at your strongest. The upper realm is not forgiving, and neither is the future that awaits us."

Hui stretched languidly, grabbing Chaewon by the wrist with a sly grin. "Co along, little priest. Let’s find out if you’re worth your master’s faith."

Chaewon jerked her arm free but followed, her steps resolute. If this is what it takes... I’ll face it.

As Hui and Chaewon entered the shimring do, the light swallowed them, warping ti and space inside the barrier.

Chen Yu watched until they disappeared, then turned back to his allies outside the barrier. "Roman, iyun, Ruxue, you’ll enter next. Focus on your weaknesses. Roman—your agility. iyun—your stamina. Ruxue—your control over your flas. I want perfection."

They each nodded, expressions fierce.

With a final glance at the barrier, Chen Yu stepped back. They’ll beco monsters in there... and they’ll need to be.
