anwhile, the lead fighter jet pilot was transmitting live visuals to the fleet. "This is Falcon One. Target in sight. It's… not what we expected."

"What do you an, Falcon One?" ca the voice of the fleet's communication officer.

The pilot hesitated. "It's heavily armored. I don't recognize the material, but it's… reflective, almost like it's deflecting light. No visible crew on deck. I—wait—"

Suddenly, the pilot's transmission was cut off, replaced by static.

"Falcon One, report! What's happening?"

There was no response. Seconds later, the radar showed Falcon One and its wingman veering off course before disappearing entirely.

Panic rippled through the command center.

"What just happened?" Richard demanded, his voice tight with frustration. Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

"Unknown, sir! Both jets are off the radar!"

The Admiral clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. "Enough of this nonsense. We can't afford to lose montum. Order the fleet to fire!"

"But sir—"

"I said FIRE!"

The command center erupted into action as the order was relayed. Across the fleet, massive guns turned toward the lone vessel, their barrels glowing as they charged. Missiles were ard and locked onto the target, poised to turn the calm ocean into a battlefield.

From the command center of Evan's ship, Aurora's cold and icy voice echoed. [Sir, the enemy fleet has initiated firing protocols. Hostile projectiles inbound in ten seconds.]

Evan's lips curled into a faint smile as he gazed out the window at the advancing naval armada with a calm detachnt. "Let's give them a demonstration of what they're dealing with."

The sky above the pale ocean crackled with tension as fighter jets from multiple nations circled the area like predatory birds. Their sleek, lethal forms streaked across the heavens, casting ominous shadows over the rolling waves below. The roars of their engines reverberated through the air as they maintained formation.

From the naval fleet surrounding Evan's lone vessel, a barrage of missiles launched in rapid succession. Across the communication lines, the nas of these missiles echoed like the tolling of a bell, each more destructive than the last:

[USL launching the 'Dominion Strike'—a high-speed cruise missile.]

[Daxia firing the 'Heaven's Wrath'—a hypersonic ballistic missile.]

[USR deploying the 'Hamr of Judgnt'—a bunker-buster missile designed to penetrate the strongest defenses.]

[Arcania has launched 'Eclipse'—a stealth missile with EMP capabilities.]

[Rhodira following with 'Inferno Rain'—a cluster missile capable of widespread damage.]

The missiles streaked across the sky like blazing cots, each carrying enough destructive potential to obliterate cities. Below, the ocean seed to hold its breath as the massive arsenal soared through the atmosphere and towards its target. On the deck of Evan's ship, the tension was palpable, though he remained unnervingly calm, his piercing blue eyes locked onto the incoming threat.

Aurora's voice echoed from the ship's systems. [Missiles will reach us in two minutes. Recomnd deploying the shield.]

Evan nodded, his gaze steady. "Deploy it and neutralize them."

The ship's plasma thrusters roared to life, emitting a deep, resonant hum. The sound intensified, sending vibrations through the ocean surface. Within monts, a shockwave radiated outward, spreading in an ever-expanding ring around the vessel.

But this was no ordinary shockwave; rather it was a cast of sonic disrupter field—a groundbreaking technology that utilized a highly concentrated pulse of sonic energy tuned to resonate with the structural frequencies of incoming projectiles.

By emitting sound waves at specific amplitudes and frequencies, the ship could destabilize the molecular bonds of missile casings, causing them to disintegrate mid-air before detonation.

It involved a range of steps.

1st was frequency Calibration where the sensors on the ship identified the materials and structural frequencies of the incoming missiles in real-ti.

2ne was wave Amplification where the plasma energy thrusters converted this data into a massive sonic wave, modulated to match the resonance of the missiles' casings.

3rd was the non-lethal Impact in which the shockwave was powerful enough to obliterate missiles, it was calibrated to avoid harming living beings or marine life by dispersing the energy in layers as it radiated outward.

As the shockwave expanded, the missiles began to falter. First, their trajectories wobbled, then, one by one, they exploded mid-air in a dazzling cascade of fire and smoke. The sonic blast's reach extended over 100 kiloters, ensuring no projectile could co close to the ship.

Evan stood on the deck, his black suit fluttering in the residual shockwave's breeze. He watched the fiery spectacle in silence, his expression unchanging. Finally, he spoke, his voice calm yet resolute.

"The first round seems to be a test. The second will be when the real battle begins."

Aurora's voice chid in.

[Analysis complete. Based on the current trajectory, the next attack may include atomic or hydrogen bombs. We are currently 2,000 kiloters from the Bermuda Ring and in a safe zone where the radiation will not impact mainland regions]

"How much energy supply do we have?"

"Shields sustained 1% damage from the previous pulse. We can endure repeated bombardnts for several hours, but shield sustainability will deplete if attacks intensify. Plasma core production will generate excess radiation, risking environntal damage."

Evan's brow furrowed slightly. Energy wasn't infinite, and the repeated blasts were not only a drain on resources but also a potential environntal disaster. After a brief pause, he made his decision.

"If the next round fails, we'll take to the skies. Prolonged bombardnt is a waste and risks long-term damage to the ocean and atmosphere. Prepare the ship for flight if necessary."

anwhile, aboard the flagship of the USL fleet, Admiral Richard Hawthorne was receiving updates from his officers with a grim look on his face.

"Admiral, their sonic disrupter field has destroyed all the missiles. The reports were true; they've developed shield technology capable of neutralizing large-scale missile strikes."

Richard clenched his fists. "They may have shields, but no defense system is flawless. Shields drain energy, and energy is limited. Eventually, they'll crack."

An officer handed him a secure line. Monts later, the President's voice ca through, cold and decisive. "Admiral, escalate to atomic missiles. This operation ends now."

"Yes, sir."

Richard hung up and imdiately turned to his officers to give the order. "Signal the bombers and choppers. Deploy the atomic payloads."
