“I’ve gone out at night many tis.” Ye Ranran said carelessly.
Ye Tianjing looked skeptical: “You can go out at night?”
Probably not, right? Besides, she doesn’t like socializing and such. What’s she doing out so late instead of staying ho as a wife and mother?
“Occasionally.” Ye Ranran turned the steering wheel and got on the overpass.
There were no traffic lights above, so Ye Ranran drove faster.
“Not bad driving skills.” It was truly unexpected for him.
Ye Ranran confidently raised her chin: “Naturally, what did you expect?”
“By the way, why didn’t you stay until tomorrow since it’s so late?” Ye Ranran asked knowingly.
“Ranran, don’t ask, you wouldn’t want to know.” Ye Tianjing looked troubled.
He didn’t want to tell her what their mother had said, as it would only make her sad.
“Okay.”
Seeing the dimness flash in her eyes, Ye Tianjing jokingly asked, “What’s wrong? You don’t want to co over?”
“No way, I don’t know how happy I am that you could co.” Ye Ranran finally showed a smile.
She glanced at Ye Tianjing’s outfit, hesitated for a mont, and finally said, “Brother, after I get back tonight, I had soone prepare a few clothes for you. Try them on and see if they fit?”
“I’m not looking down on you, just thinking you should wear sothing nicer.” She thought for a mont and added the latter sentence.
“I know, don’t worry, I won’t think too much about it. Besides, given my sister’s status, wearing this next to you is indeed inappropriate.” Ye Tianjing said.
Ye Ranran’s smile beca more genuine. It was best if he thought like that.
She was really worried he might feel inferior or sothing. When people fall from grace and beco nobodies, the worst is when others look down on them.
And they particularly care about this disdain.
After getting off the overpass, they would arrive at Riverside Villa in five more minutes.
Looking at the familiar villa, Ye Tianjing remarked with emotion, “I thought you would have sold it long ago.”
“He couldn’t bear to.” Ye Ranran got out of the car.
She parked the car right at the entrance and didn’t even take the keys, just got out like that.
“Just leaving it like that?” Ye Tianjing looked at her in disbelief.
Ye Ranran put up the hood, not worried about rain. Knowing what Ye Tianjing ant, she said, “It’s fine, there’s security in the villa and alarms outside the red line, who would dare risk entering?”
“Let’s go, upstairs.” Ye Ranran went over to help Ye Tianjing with his luggage.
Ye Tianjing held tight and dodged her hand: “I can do it myself.”
Ye Ranran didn’t insist. She led him to a room on the second floor, the one farthest from where she stayed, opened it and said, “This room is cleaned daily. Oh, and the clothes are in the closet. Try them on and keep any that fit, let the rest go. You’ll need to get new ones over there anyway.”
“Okay, I got it. You should go to sleep; it’s really late.” Ye Tianjing said after checking the ti.
Ye Ranran waved at him: “I’m going then, goodnight, brother.”
Back in her room, Ye Ranran changed into her pajamas, lifted the quilt, and lay down. Just about to snuggle into Jun Mochan’s embrace, a pair of arms wrapped around her.
Before she could react, Jun Mochan’s tall body pressed down on her.
Ye Ranran didn’t resist, allowing him to hold her, blinking as she said, “What’s this? So enthusiastic in the middle of the night? But I’m still on my period, I can’t handle it.”
Jun Mochan’s hand slid to her waist, giving it a firm squeeze: “So having a brother ans no more husband for you, huh?”
