Since the family fell into decline, Father Ye’s health has deteriorated, and Mother Ye’s ntal state has beco unstable.
“You should ask your good son what he plans to do,” Mother Ye mocked. “He actually wants to go to Ye Ranran’s side. That viper of a woman will eat him alive until there’s nothing left.”
“If he wants to go, let him go. At least there’s a bit of hope over there. Do you really hope our son will spend his life selling at a street stall?”
“No, I don’t want that, but I also don’t want him near that woman. If sothing happens to him, how would I live?”
Father Ye knew she was losing control again. Such things happened every night; he left her to be, knowing she’d calm down eventually.
“Fine, if he doesn’t go, then he doesn’t go.” Father Ye lay down.
Seeing him compromise, she finally stopped her fuss, though she was still worried and wanted to stay awake. However, due to her age, she couldn’t stay up past eleven o’clock and eventually, her head slumped, and she fell asleep on the bed.
Father Ye got out of bed quietly.
He took the keys and opened the door. Ye Tianjing was standing by the window, contemplating how to jump down, when he heard the door open.
Seeing it was Father Ye, his eyes lit up for a mont but quickly faded into calmness. He hesitantly called out, “Dad, why are you here?”
“Did you plan to jump if I didn’t co?” Father Ye asked, not in a good mood.
“Dad, you agree to let leave?” Ye Tianjing looked at him happily.
“Even if I don’t agree, you’re going to leave, right?” Father Ye glanced at him. “If you’ve decided, then do it. I can’t help you anymore.”
Father Ye wasn’t sure whether this was right, but by leaving, Ye Tianjing might have a chance to make a coback.
Staying here, not to ntion anything else, just the twenty billion debt alone suffocated him.

“Dad, Ranran is your daughter too. Don’t bla her.” As he walked past him, Ye Tianjing said this.
What he really wanted to say was to bla himself. He gave birth to her but didn’t raise her, let alone guide her properly.
Ye Ranran turned out this way and didn’t end up cynical and hostile. It’s sothing to be grateful for.
Father Ye didn’t respond, only letting out a long sigh when he heard the door close.
Ye Tianjing picked up his luggage by the window and then called Ye Ranran.
Ye Ranran was already asleep. When she heard her phone ring, she reached out in a daze, finally grabbing it. She opened a slit of her eyes and pressed the answer button.
“Hello, who is it?”
“Ranran, it’s .” Ye Tianjing’s voice was full of apology. “Did I disturb your rest?”
“Brother?” Ye Ranran sat up instantly, her sleepiness gone.
“Yes, it’s . I’ve already left now. Can I stay at your place for a night?” He had given all his money to Mother Ye.
Not a penny was left, and he had no money in his account. You could say he was penniless and could only stay with her for a night.
Otherwise, he’d have to spend the night under a bridge.
