Once you get used to it, it feels like nothing.

The chef who cooks these nutritious als must be a master; the dishes sll and taste wonderful. Even the dishes that Maya Monroe normally dislikes, she can almost accept. The only thing she’s not used to is that the taste is a bit more bland compared to what she used to have.

After the woman left, Maya Monroe made sure to explain to Alisa Shelby: "My family doesn’t really like eating too many snacks and desserts, so I..."

Serena Sawyer understood her imdiately: "That’s how it is..."

Maya Monroe didn’t chat with Serena Sawyer for long because after the other party answered a phone call, her expression suddenly changed, and she hurriedly said goodbye and left.

Maya Monroe’s intuition told her that Serena Sawyer must have encountered sothing troubling.

She asked, "Is sothing wrong? Do you need my help?"

Serena Sawyer sighed, "This is sothing only I can solve; no one else can help . I’m really sorry, Maya, I might have to leave again for a while."

Maya Monroe didn’t probe further, she just nodded, "All troubles can be solved."

Suddenly, Serena Sawyer’s assistant ran over: "Miss Sawyer, the afternoon shoot has been moved up; we need to do your styling now."

Serena Sawyer’s complexion wasn’t great: "I have sothing to deal with right now, can’t we postpone it?"

"No, this is a last-minute decision from the investors; the venue rental is about to expire!"

Serena Sawyer’s phone rang, and after hesitating for a mont, she finally sighed, "Let’s go do the styling first."

After Serena Sawyer left, Scott mumbled, "Miss Sawyer is famous for being a workaholic; it’s the first ti I’ve seen her so hesitant like this. She seems to be dealing with a lot of trouble lately, otherwise, she wouldn’t leave so often with a worried look."

Maya Monroe nodded and took a sip of the freshly pressed juice from the table.

The juice was overflowing with sweetness, but she still felt that sothing was a bit off.

It dawned on her: could it be that she has eaten too much junk food, and now she finds it hard to get used to the fresh and additive-free juice?

"Are you worried about Miss Sawyer, Maya?"

Maya Monroe said slowly, "As Serena Sawyer said, if she wants to tell , she will. If she doesn’t want to say, asking her would only add to her burden. Everyone has secrets they are reluctant to share, it’s quite normal."

Scott seed to have an epiphany, and mumbled, "That’s very true." He smiled, giving a thumbs up, "Maya, you’re always so considerate."

After finishing filming, Maya Monroe returned to her trailer to rest; the sun outside was quite harsh, and she really didn’t want to stay out in it.

Getting tanned doesn’t matter, she simply hates the process of being sunburned.

"By the way, I seem to not have seen Alisa Shelby in a long ti, has she done anything recently?"

Maya Monroe used to see Alisa Shelby often, at least once every two days on set, and she always had a fierce expression.

But ever since the last incident, Maya Monroe hasn’t seen her in a long ti.

"Alisa Shelby..." Scott pondered, "She’s been away from the crew for quite so ti. Her original role has been replaced by another actor. According to so rumors, Alisa Shelby must have offended soone..."

"Offended soone?"

Maya Monroe rubbed her forehead. It wasn’t hard to guess who she offended. Ever since the last ti, Alisa Shelby left the crew, it’s quite obvious who did it.

With Alisa Shelby no longer hovering around, Maya Monroe felt quite relieved.

Compared to a beast, flies are more annoying.

Maya Monroe subconsciously grabbed a bag of chips and tore it open. Eating a bit of snacks when in a happy mood just makes one even happier.

"She’s gone, that’s quite nice."

Maya Monroe narrowed her eyes slightly; sotis she thought Ian Rowe was quite nice too. At least he helped solve a lot of troubles for her and saved her a lot of hassle.

Scott nodded repeatedly, "Yeah, Alisa Shelby didn’t seem like a nice person at all! Ivy’s arm is only just okay, and both Alisa Shelby and her assistant are not good people."

"When she was here, she only caused trouble. It’s better now that she’s gone!"

Maya Monroe slowly nodded and tilted her head slightly, "Scott, when is the next scene?"

"Three thirty in the afternoon, you have an hour and a half. Maya, you can use this ti to review the script a bit."

Scott took the script out of his bag and handed it to Maya Monroe, "It’s more convenient to carry this way. Here you go, Maya!"

Maya Monroe took it, opened a page, and once again reinforced her impression of it in her mind.

Scott sat beside Maya Monroe, feeling quite emotional. Ryan Spencer hasn’t stayed close to Maya Monroe much these days, and one obvious reason is that Maya has beco much more reassuring.

"That’s a wrap for this scene!"

Yvonne Hall stood up and personally handed Maya Monroe a cup of water, her eyes full of smiles, "You’ve worked hard."

Maya Monroe accepted it, looking down at it.

Plain water, gently steaming. It’s the hot water she’s always disliked.

"Thank you, Director Hall." She took a small sip, feeling the heat steaming through her entire body.

"Even though the weather is hot, drinking cold drinks might give you a stomachache, so plain water is better."

Maya Monroe nodded upon hearing this.

Yvonne Hall smiled slightly, not stingy with her praises for her, "You really have a knack for acting, even though you’re the sa person with the sa makeup, as soon as you get into character, you give off a great sense of contrast."

Maya Monroe tilted her head slightly, "What do you an?"

Yvonne Hall contemplated, "How should I put it, when you embody the ’Jane Jennings’ persona, all the sharp edges in you are fully subdued."

"The quality of acting doesn’t depend on makeup, it’s just the first step in character creation. The core is still the acting itself, and you have it all. Just through the change in your eyes, you can switch seamlessly between the master and secondary personas of Jane Jennings. I think it’s quite amazing."

"Acting skills can be honed, but most are determined by talent. Of course, diligence is indispensable, but I still believe that intuition and insight cannot be imitated."

Maya Monroe smiled slightly, neither nodding nor saying anything.

Yvonne Hall consistently believed that she was talent-driven, which possibly related to the age of the original host.

However, Yvonne Hall didn’t know that she had carried out nurous role-task missions. Adapting quickly to roles to achieve goals is the most basic requirent.

"Director Hall, you are really too kind with your praise. I’m just an ordinary person."

Ordinary—that had always been Maya Monroe’s definition for herself.

Yvonne Hall laughed, "I may not be overpraising, but you are truly humble."

"The weather is really scorching, there’s nothing to film in the afternoon, Maya, you should head back and rest."

Maya Monroe wiped the sweat from her forehead; even though Scott was by her side with a sunshade, the feeling was still unpleasant.

After bidding farewell to Yvonne Hall, Maya Monroe returned to her trailer.

A lot of people greeted her warmly on the way, all eager and enthusiastic.

Since she ca over, Maya Monroe had not enjoyed this kind of treatnt. Thinking about Yvonne Hall’s attitude, it seed Ian Rowe must have helped her deal with quite a lot behind the scenes again.
