Kiki’s heart was filled with irritation and disgust; she really didn’t want to see Eric Rowe. After all, whenever they were together, it was endless bickering.

She originally planned to take a detour, but then she thought, wouldn’t that an she was afraid of Eric Rowe if she really avoided him?

A glint of coldness flashed in Kiki’s eyes, and a cold smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. She straightened her back and walked straight towards him.

Eric Rowe’s face, which was as gentle as a spring breeze, turned cold the mont he saw Kiki.

Kiki let out another cold snort.

Suddenly, she seed to step on a sharp rock that hurt her foot. Kiki widened her eyes in panic, uncontrollably falling to the side. Her arms flailed as she tried to find a point of support.

"Kiki!" It was the voice of Kiki’s assistant.

There was only one person nearby, Eric Rowe, but he remained unmoved. Kiki staggered back a few steps before her assistant barely managed to catch her.

After that thrilling mont, Kiki felt her whole body nearly collapse.

"Kiki, are you okay? Did you hurt your foot? How about we go to the hospital for a check-up?"

Kiki pushed away the assistant, stood up angrily, and grabbed Eric Rowe’s arm.

Eric Rowe turned around and, seeing her, instinctively furrowed his brows.

He impatiently shook off Kiki’s hand: "What are you doing?"

"What am I doing?" Kiki gritted her teeth: "Why didn’t you save just now? You were right next to , could have easily lent a hand, but you were indifferent, leaving in danger!"

Kiki’s ankle still throbbed with pain, as she had been wearing high heels today.

Looking at her red-rimd eyes and pitiful appearance, Eric Rowe showed not a trace of sympathy. After all, Kiki had acted lodramatic too many tis before, and it was always pointless drama.

Eric Rowe slowly turned around and snorted coldly: "You really are sothing. I’m not so saint. You fell, and it wasn’t who pushed you. Why should I help? Besides..."

His handso face showed impatience: "Count for yourself how many tis this has happened. Even if you’re trying for attention, use your brain. It’s understandable to fall once, but every ti towards ? If it’s not intentional, what is it?!"

"Why is it that wherever I go, I bump into you?"

Kiki’s mouth opened slightly, visibly agitated: "Are you saying...that I’m doing this on purpose?"

"There’s no point in playing dumb all the ti." Eric Rowe didn’t want to argue further, glanced at her irritably, and walked away.

Kiki, supported by her assistant, made her way to a bench.

This was a scenic spot with a rather nice view. Yet Kiki wore a sullen face, still not over what had just happened.

"Kiki, we should go to the hospital, especially since there are no scenes this afternoon. Delaying might be uncomfortable for you."

Kiki snapped at the assistant: "If you want to go, go yourself. Can’t you see I’m in a bad mood?!"

The assistant quickly lowered her head, uttering no more words.

The more Kiki thought about it, the angrier she beca.

Why did Eric Rowe push all the bla onto her?

If only she knew why she always ran into Eric Rowe or why she sohow always stumbled near him.

The more she thought about it, the stranger it seed. Feeling uneasy, Kiki asked her assistant beside her: "Do you think there’s anything like ghosts or spirits in this world?"

The assistant was montarily taken aback, then replied: "Kiki, we should believe in science."

Kiki pressed her lips together, saying nothing further. Of course, she knew about science, but this matter was truly bizarre...

"These are cookies I baked myself. I rember you really liked these kinds of pastries, so give them a try."

Maya’s eyes lit up as she received the beautifully packaged food box from Serena Sawyer: "Thank you, I do love desserts."

Serena Sawyer’s eyes slightly curved: "You’re welco. I’ve recently been attending baking classes. You can help taste them, and let know if they’re to your liking."

Maya nodded repeatedly: "Okay."

Maya found a spot and, with great anticipation, opened the food box.

Serena Sawyer smiled gently: "Since I’m a beginner, I made the simplest margarita cookies. I hope Maya doesn’t mind."

The rich, delicious butter aroma wafted to her nose, and Maya quickly waved: "No, no, I think these cookies are great. You wouldn’t believe how..."

Suddenly Maya paused, coughed awkwardly a few tis, and deftly hid the cookie in hand behind the box.

Serena Sawyer asked in confusion: "What’s wrong? Don’t like them?"

"No..."

"Madam, I’ve brought your al."

A woman in her forties walked over, wearing a kindly smile: "Today’s dishes are different, enjoy while they’re hot."

Maya nodded: "Thank you."

After delivering the al, the woman did not leave imdiately, but instead stood quietly nearby.

Maya glanced at her: "Standing is tiring, find a place to sit."

After speaking, she gestured to Scott behind her.

The woman nodded and sat down, yet remained silent, striving not to disturb Maya.

Noticing Serena Sawyer’s puzzlent, Maya briefly explained: "This is a al sent from ho."

Serena Sawyer chuckled: "No wonder Maya doesn’t order takeaway anymore. It’s fortunate, being thought of must feel nice, right?"

Maya also smiled, though her smile carried a hint of bitterness.

"Pretty much..."

Apart from rarely being able to eat hotpot, braised pork, squirrel fish... everything else was quite good.

Serena Sawyer seed to recall sothing: "I vaguely seed to see the other day..."

Maya turned even while opening the food box: "See what?"

Serena Sawyer thought for a mont: "No big deal, everyone has secrets."

Upon opening the food box, there was indeed a change in dish varieties, though still ’balanced in at and vegetables.’

The proportion of vegetables was quite large; besides at and fish soup, a portion of fruit was even prepared.

Maya had never eaten such healthy als before.

When Ian Rowe ntioned it that day, she hadn’t thought much of it. But after eating these consecutively, she felt her taste buds were on the brink of boredom.

Maya asked Serena Sawyer beside her: "Do you want to try a bit?"

Serena Sawyer shook her head: "No, I’ve already had my al."

As she spoke, she pulled out the script: "I’ll analyze this script, no need to mind ."

After Maya finished her al, the woman ca over to clear the food box: "Madam, I’ll take my leave then."

Maya quickly nodded.

Besides delivering als, she felt the woman always had another task when coming by, which was to watch her finish eating, possibly reporting back to Ian Rowe.

On the first day of al delivery, Maya had refused to eat. The woman hadn’t pressured her, but that night, she received several ssages from Ian Rowe.
