Chapter 6: Ch :6 Wrong Order? - Part 2
The inside of Luminos Guild was decorated in extravagance. I could confidently say that even a single decoration there cost more than most people’s yearly wage.
’These big Guilds sure make it hard for an ordinary person to co in here and relax. How long would breaking a single vase here take?’
I could not help but think these destructive thoughts as I carried the pizza inside the Guild and toward reception. But none of what I thought showed on my face, and I kept it blank as I reached the reception.
The female managing the desk was a beautiful Oga who could put most actresses and models to sha. Her soft scent was also alluring, trying to seduce the person standing in front of her.
Moreover, she was young as well, looking barely out of her teens.
’Her power makes
think she’s B-class at the most. A female B-class Oga Hunter? It would have been unheard of back in my days.’
Ogas were generally thought to be fragile and to be protected. That’s why, even when they did erge as Hunters, most families hid the fact or did not send them to the Association.
As for ... well, I was a different case.
Not only was I S-class, but I was practically sold to the Hunter Bureau. And that was sohow the best-case scenario for , because the other option would have been to sell
to underground syndicates.
And sohow, I had a feeling that I wouldn’t have co out as sane as I did in the Bureau.
"Excuse , but may I ask what you are doing here? Do you have a pass to be here?"
The beautiful female had an equally beautiful voice... if you ignored the irritation in her tone.
I had a feeling that the other Oga was feeling threatened by the presence of an unknown Oga in her territory, and a lesser person would have backed off and shown their own irritation.
But I was well-trained enough to push those thoughts back, and instead, I stood straight and showed the female receptionist the pizzas I brought with .
"I am here for a delivery from the PC café across the street. It was ordered by the top floor. Where should I keep the pizza?"
The female worker frowned as she looked at my casual T-shirt and shorts before she made a face and told
to wait.
"Excuse , but I would need to check with the people in the room regarding this. Please give
a second."
The female rang the phone... or well, pretended to anyway. My hearing was sharp enough to pick up the voice coming from the phone.
But there was no voice on the other side, aning that the call had not connected.
"I am sorry, but it seems like you made a mistake. There is no one who ordered anything. Maybe you can leave the pizza here and I can check—"
The female receptionist was playing at sothing, but I was not in a mood to play.
’Fine! If she wants to be like this, then she can. I don’t want to bother with this anymore.’
I simply pulled my bag back and gave the female a small nod.
"I see. Since it seems as if I made a mistake, I apologize. I will take my leave now."
The female receptionist looked stunned by my quick exit. For a second, doubt filled her eyes, but she did nothing to stop
from exiting.
When I entered the PC café with the order still with , Emma looked worried and ca over toward .
"Kyle, what happened—! The order... did you not deliver it?"
Emma asked in a worried voice, and I looked her in the eyes before I answered her.
"The receptionist told
that there was no one who ordered from here, so I decided to bring the order back."
Ben let out a chuckle at my delivery, and Dan looked ready to cry. Before he could actually shed any tears, Emma decided to send him out, and then she turned toward .
"I am sorry, Kyle. Maybe I made a mistake with the order address. Hmm, don’t worry too much about it."
Emma assured , but I was not worried. At least, not about myself. I was more worried about her business suffering because I missed this delivery.
But what was done was done, and I decided not to linger on it. Instead, I decided to focus on what I could do—cleaning.
I helped around as much as I could, and just when I decided to take so rest, the phone rang.
Since I was the closest to it, I decided to pick it up.
"Hello. How can I help you?"
I asked, making my voice sound as patient as I could make it. But the person on the other side was clearly not thinking the sa.
"Where is my pizza—? I ordered an hour ago. How hard is it to deliver to the building in front of you and the top floor? We even have lifts—"
I felt stunned at the complaint, and then I felt angry.
"Excuse , sir. But if you wanted your pizza, maybe you should have told the reception that you ordered so. Maybe then, they wouldn’t have sent
back, telling
that they had no orders to receive. Now, if you want your pizza, you will have to co here and collect it yourself."
I cut the phone after I was done speaking. I had no intention of giving the other side any ti to speak up or clarify.
Once that was done, I went back to cleaning since it helped
clear up my mind.
As for my worry about the order and its buyer? I was not worried. After all, the person who ordered this pizza was a top Hunter. And those people had too much money and not enough ti on their hands.
It would just be easier to order another pizza from sowhere else and get it hot.
’I don’t need to worry about those things anymore. Instead, I should focus on my work. Tsk, why is this stain not coming out?’
