"These fish like to school together, and since you got one on the first cast, there might be a school of fish below. Keep at it and use the ti to catch a few more."

Hearing what the fellow anglers said, Lin Yang quickly perked up, placed his catch into the second empty skin bag, then re-baited and continued fishing.

Just as the anglers predicted, hardly had the line touched bottom when he got another bite within half a minute.

Seeing the rod tip constantly dipping, a faint sense of helplessness rose in Lin Yang’s heart.

Damn it, there’s no ti to rest; as soon as the rig reaches the designated layer, it gets a bite. Isn’t this exhausting the kid?

Without an electric reel, manually hauling up fish from a depth of one or two hundred ters, Lin Yang felt his arms go numb after bringing up five fish.

"Whew... fifth one, it’s a rich resource here, plenty of fish, but since we ca unprepared without an electric reel, it’s enough to just have fish to eat. We won’t need more, let take a break," Lin Yang said as he placed the fish into the live well, his facial expression slightly twisted.

"Hahaha, so even the Ironman host surrenders."

"Don’t even say it. You’re a clear case of the full man not understanding the hungry man’s plight. When we used to go out to sea to catch cod, flounder, and the like, sotis the captain had to take us through several spots before we got anything. Sotis after a full day’s work, we wouldn’t have caught a single fish. And look at you, isn’t it shaful? Not fishing when there are fish is a sin."

Lin Yang tossed the fishing rod onto the holder: "Give a break, my cold isn’t even fully gone, and here I am, breaking into a sweat just from hauling up a few fish."

Yue’er looked at him with concern, took out a tissue, and wiped his sweat, saying, "Take a rest if you’re tired. Shall I help you fish for a bit? Nobody’s competing with you. Why the rush?"

Lin Yang grabbed a bottle of mineral water and took a big gulp, then reminded her, "Sure, you go ahead, but be careful to secure the rod with the safety string, don’t let a sea monster pull you into the water."

Yue’er nodded with a smile: "Pfft, you think I don’t know anything? Don’t worry, I’ll definitely catch one bigger than yours. Just wait and see."

Even though she hadn’t been showing off, this girl was sharp and learned quickly. Sea fishing just cos down to a few basics, and she had picked them up after going back and forth a few tis.

Taking Lin Yang’s fishing rod, Yue’er proceeded thodically, first checking the rig, then rebaiting, and after making sure everything was in order, she cast the hefty lead sinker into the water and cautiously began to let out the line holding on to the reel.

Strangely enough, whereas Lin Yang had caught several fish in succession, pulling them in almost as soon as the rod hit the water with no more than a minute between them,

this ti, with her fishing, there had been no bites for two minutes after hitting bottom.

"Hey, Brother Yang, sothing is wrong. Why aren’t they biting now that I’m fishing?" Yue’er was puzzled.

Lin Yang glanced over and asked, "Did you reel in the line after the rig settled? It might have landed in so crevice or rock. Try pulling the line up a bit to see if it’s snagged."

Yue’er turned the reel handle, and while there was considerable resistance, it moved, indicating the line wasn’t snagged.

"It’s not snagged, see? I’ve reeled in a ter of line already," Yue’er repeated the reeling action.

Lin Yang shook his head: "Then I don’t know, maybe the school of fish moved sowhere else. Just be patient. I wouldn’t have given up if I knew there would be no bites."

"How about I reel in and out a bit to tease them?" Yue’er couldn’t help but suggest.

"Go ahead, just play around. Sea fish aren’t that picky," Lin Yang said nonchalantly, waving his hand, since he didn’t feel any pressure and just let her have her fun.

With permission from Lin Yang, Yue’er really did start teasing the fish by thodically reeling in and letting out the line, her movents not too extre, just a few ters up and down, and all near the bottom.

"Geez, do these fish recognize people? They know it’s fishing and won’t bite. How unsporting," Yue’er complained after a while without success, feeling a little disheartened.

She was still griping when suddenly, the tip of the fishing rod jerked downward sharply, followed by a wild clattering flight.

"Hey, Brother Yang, I got one, and it’s strong!" Yue’er couldn’t help but exclaim upon seeing it.

Lin Yang thought she was joking and didn’t take it seriously, but he casually turned to look and upon seeing the bend in the rod, he imdiately sprung into action.

The movents of the fish on the rod now were far more violent than the cod or flounder from before.

"Don’t panic, loosen the drag, let it take so line," Lin Yang advised as he walked over.

"How much should I loosen?" In her urgency, Yue’er was a bit flustered.

Lin Yang didn’t answer but quickly stepped beside her, spinning the drag adjustnt swiftly with his fingers.

Click, click, click, the sound of the line peeling off rang out, and Lin Yang’s taut nerves finally relaxed a bit as the fish began to take out line, greatly reducing the risk of the fish throwing the hook in its first burst of escape.

"What kind of fish is this? It’s so strong," Yue’er watched the line peel off continuously, still feeling a bit shaken.

Lin Yang shook his head, his gaze fixed on the fishing rod secured to the boat’s railing.

By supporting the rod on the railing for sea fishing, it saves a lot of effort compared to holding the rod in hand, so now he was not panicking but was quickly regaining his composure.

"Uncle Victor, are there many big fish in these waters?" Lin Yang curiously asked.

Victor: "The water is quite cold, so there are big fish, but they’re not as active as in other warr waters. Besides, here’s so good news: the colder water ans fewer sharks. Judging by this fish’s reaction, I guess you might have caught a flounder."
