After resting for a night in Longjing Village, everyone set off for Qiandao Lake early in the morning.
It took just over half an hour to drive from their location to Qiandao Lake, so by eight in the morning, they had arrived.
Upon reaching Qiandao Lake, the group didn’t need to look for a hotel because one of them was a guest host, and another was a contestant. The organizers had made arrangents for them; they simply had to state their roles. As for Yue’er and Li Xiaopeng, it was sufficient to say they were accompanying personnel. After all, whether hosts or contestants, who didn’t bring a few assistants to a competition like this?
After settling their belongings in a hotel room, Lin Yang realized the hotel was indeed excellent. Not only was the decoration extrely luxurious, but the hotel was also right next to Qiandao Lake. One could see many beautiful scenes of the lake from upstairs, and it was only a few dozen ters down to the lakeshore—a truly enviable location.
Qiandao Lake, though called a lake, is actually a reservoir nad Xin’an River Reservoir.
It is only a little over an hour’s drive from the center of Hang City in Zhe Province. The reservoir was built for a hydroelectric station downstream, starting construction in 1955 and completed in 1960.
The dam is 105 ters high and 462 ters long; the reservoir is about 150 kiloters long and more than 10 kiloters at its widest point; its deepest part exceeds 100 ters, with an average depth of 30.44 ters. At normal water levels, the area is about 580 square kiloters with a water storage capacity of 17.8 billion cubic ters. At its highest water level, it has 1078 islands larger than 0.25 square kiloters, mostly small islands under 2 square kiloters. The total area of the islands is 409 square kiloters, hence the na Qiandao Lake.
The water of Qiandao Lake ranks as the top-quality water among China’s great rivers and lakes. It is a national first-level water body, eting the drinking water standards without any treatnt and is acclaid as "the finest water under the heavens."
Because Qiandao Lake has been around for a long ti and has never dried up, combined with Long River’s fishing ban in recent years and the ban here, it has resulted in quite large fish in this area, which is why it was chosen as the venue for the fishing competition.
Lin Yang had just rested a while in his hotel room when Xia Xiaoxue called him.
"Hello, Master Lin, how are your preparations?" she asked as soon as she began speaking.
"Uh, what preparations?"

Soon, Xia Xiaoxue sent him a location. It appeared that she was at a lakeside spot not far from the hotel, probably just a few hundred ters away after leaving the hotel.
And so, only taking his phone with him, Lin Yang went downstairs.
When he reached the hotel’s lakeside location, there were already many people busily at work.
The Battle of Champions would be held over two days, with dayti fishing on the first day and night fishing on the second. The differences between day and night fishing posed a considerable challenge to both the contestants and the organizers.
As Lin Yang arrived at the lakeside, he saw quite a few people fishing, and Wang Feng, who had co along with him in the morning, was also there with his assistant Xiao Zhang, getting their equipnt ready, seemingly about to do so trial fishing.

After exchanging greetings with Wang Feng, he headed directly towards Xia Xiaoxue’s location. He quickly found her fishing at a lakeside spot not far away, confirming her persona as a female angler.
