"You all wait, I’m rushing over now."

When Si Lin ended the call, Jiang Moxi quickly approached and asked him.

"What happened?"

"They said the Justice Hacker has re-erged, launching another attack on the Information Security Departnt, and the scope of the breach is gradually expanding, spreading across the entire Yan City."

Si Lin also said, "The most dangerous part is that the subway and high-speed train systems have also been disrupted. So subways and trains have already shut down their automated driving systems to avoid the interference. But so trains lack this capability and may very well cause major collisions."

Si Lin said this as he walked out: "I have to get back now and see if I can help!"

Jiang Moxi quickly followed him: "I’ll go have a look too."

Si Lin hesitated for a mont, then nodded: "Let’s go."

Jiang Moxi is actually the Justice Hacker; she might know how to crack the sa hacking thod.

Moreover, Si Lin felt that Jiang Moxi had the right to know who was impersonating her.

Jiang Weiwei saw the two leaving together, and started to pound on the iron door and roar.

"Co back here!"

"You adulterous couple..."

Information Security Departnt headquarters, top-floor conference hall—

Due to the ergency, nearly all the National Security Departnt’s programrs had gathered here.

The giant screen in the hall was displaying surveillance footage from various intersections across the city, as well as major train stations.

From those screens, it was clear that the entire transportation hub of Yan City had ground to a halt.

The traffic lights had been hacked, causing countless vehicles on the roads to collide and many people were injured.

Though the train stations had switched to manual systems to prevent train collisions, it caused significant travel delays for countless people.

Now, the train stations were packed with stranded travelers, so becoming aggressive, so even getting into physical altercations with the staff.

The most urgent situation was still with two trains whose operating systems had been hacked.

The manual operating systems had lost control, unable to stop the trains or switch tracks.

"In less than fifteen minutes, these two trains will collide."

"Hurry, if we don’t act quickly and these trains collide, we’re probably looking at over a thousand deaths."

The leaders of the National Security Departnt were nearly smoking with anxiety, having called in almost every programr they could.

Now these programrs were in the conference hall, frantically typing on their keyboards, sparks nearly flying from their keystrokes, yet still unable to break through the multiple layers of barriers set by the Justice Hacker.

One by one, the programrs looked despondently at their leaders and shook their heads, while the leaders sighed repeatedly.

"Where’s Third Master Fu? Have you contacted him?"

"We contacted him as soon as the problem started, but he’s still a bit far from the Information Security Departnt, the quickest he could be here is in another twenty minutes."

Hearing that it’d take their last hope, Third Master Fu, another twenty minutes to arrive, the faces of nearly everyone there turned ashen.

Were they really going to watch helplessly as that damn hacker took thousands of innocent lives?

At this critical mont, the conference room door was pushed open.

It was Si Lin.

He walked in quickly, his handso face devoid of any superfluous expression, Jiang Moxi following close behind.

"What’s the current situation?" Si Lin’s efficiency and decisiveness at this mont were a stark contrast to his usual playful deanor of a noble family’s young master.

This caused Jiang Moxi to look at him a bit more surprised.

Si Lin must hold an important position in the National Security Departnt as soone quickly briefed him on all the latest developnts.

"Young Master Si, nearly all the programrs have been mobilized, but the Justice Hacker’s skills are too advanced. Our people are unable to fend off his intrusion, let alone track his whereabouts."

So were reporting while others pointed at the surveillance footage on the big screen.

"Forget tracing his movents for the ti being; the most pressing issue right now are the two trains on a collision course!"

"We only have eleven minutes left. If we don’t stop this attack now, the lives of thousands on both trains will be lost."

Si Lin and Jiang Moxi followed the direction of the pointing person, seeing a surveillance feed from one of the trains.

Onscreen, countless passengers were gazing out at the swiftly passing scenery as if everything were normal.

So were rushing to their destinations for business, others were longing for a reunion with family, and there were surely those who were anticipating the sights of their journey.

They were oblivious to the fact that the train was out of control.

They might never complete their work, see their families again, or visit the landscapes they were looking forward to...

Thinking of this, the faces of everyone in the conference room grew exceptionally somber.

"Where’s Third Master Fu?"

Si Lin inquired about Fu Youhan, causing Jiang Moxi’s delicate eyelashes to flutter slightly.

Soone reported, "We’ve contacted Third Master Fu, but he’ll need about ten more minutes to get here."

Hearing this, Si Lin grew increasingly irritable.

He even had soone bring a computer to him and began frantically typing away, but it was to no avail.

In the blink of an eye, only five minutes were left.

Soone said, "If Third Master Fu were here, he and Young Master Si working together could definitely take down the hacker with no trouble. It’s just a pity..."

Everyone sighed, regretting that they couldn’t be of help and also mourning the impending loss of thousands of innocent lives.

That’s when Jiang Moxi spoke up, "Let give it a try."

As Jiang Moxi made her voice heard, almost everyone looked at her.

"What’s this...?"

Leaders from the National Security Departnt eyed Jiang Moxi curiously.

"This is our Information Security Departnt’s new recruit, Jiang Moxi!"

As Si Lin introduced Jiang Moxi, the gaze that fell upon her was probing.

As if asking Jiang Moxi, did she have confidence?

Her eyes, as clear as glistening water, showed no emotion as she looked straight at Si Lin.

"A new recruit? Let’s forget about a recruit, even the basics aren’t well-mastered yet."

"Right, this is a matter concerning over a thousand lives; don’t act recklessly."

Almost everyone held no hope for Jiang Moxi.

Because everyone knew that those who manage to enter the Information Security Departnt for training weren’t necessarily accomplished in computing; more often than not, it was their family’s financial power that got them in.

Jiang Moxi seed to have a good relationship with Si Lin, likely being from the sa social circle, and so it was highly probable that she got in thanks to her family’s financial power.

But at that mont, Si Lin said, "Let her try."

As expected, others didn’t agree with Si Lin’s decision.

"This isn’t good. We can’t waste these precious minutes on a new recruit."

"Young Master Si, this is about the lives of over a thousand people! If anything goes wrong, and the higher-ups start looking into it..."

They spoke out one after another, trying to stop Si Lin’s rash decision.

But Si Lin was determined to see his decision through alone, bluntly stating, "If the higher-ups do look into it, I’ll bear the responsibility alone!"

Then he handed over his laptop to Jiang Moxi, his deep eyes shimring hazily, tender yet intense.

"Xixi, whether I spend the second half of my life in prison or freely on the outside—it’s all in your hands now!"
