In the dim prison cell, Jiang Weiwei kept shaking and hitting the cell door.
"Let out, let out now!"
"I’m really not the person you’re looking to arrest, you’ve got the wrong person!"
"I was frad by Jiang Moxi, she was the one who installed the program on my computer."
"Dad, Mom, please co and save ..."
Ever since she was locked up, Jiang Weiwei had been screaming and shrieking like this.
But no one ca to save her.
Not even Jiang Guosheng and Yu Man had visited her once.
Under such confinent, Jiang Weiwei felt like she was on the verge of a ntal breakdown.
"Jiang Moxi, why did you have to do this to !"
Jiang Weiwei yelled, even swearing in her heart that once she was out, she would make Jiang Moxi taste this living death as well.
It was during Jiang Weiwei’s hysterics that a cold female voice suddenly ca through.
"I didn’t harm you, you brought this onto yourself."
Jiang Weiwei abruptly looked up and saw Jiang Moxi standing outside the cell door.
Her attire was as unostentatious as ever, the kind Jiang Weiwei used to look down on the most.
But whether it was because of the prison atmosphere, or because Jiang Weiwei herself hadn’t showered for two days and felt her clothes had started to stink,
Jiang Weiwei always felt that at this mont, Jiang Moxi seed to be high above, an existence she, Jiang Weiwei, couldn’t hope to reach.
However, after a mont of astonishnt, Jiang Weiwei thought that this must just be a delusion caused by being imprisoned.
She quickly lashed out at Jiang Moxi: "How can it be my own fault? It was clearly you who installed the software on my computer!"
Jiang Weiwei wasn’t foolish; two days’ ti was enough for her to sort through everything.
"How could I have tampered with your computer when I never had the chance to touch it?" Jiang Moxi chuckled mockingly.
This drove Jiang Weiwei to rush towards the iron door, scratching and howling.
"You knew that I’ve always been using your howork, checking the contents on your computer, so you put the software on a USB drive to make your scapegoat!"
As Jiang Weiwei lunged, Jiang Moxi stepped back.
The distance didn’t seem far but was just enough to prevent Jiang Weiwei from reaching her through the cell door.
Jiang Moxi watched as Jiang Weiwei lost control and coldly asked her, "When you substituted my howork and won the prize, why didn’t you claim injustice?"
"I used your howork also for your parents’ sake, didn’t I? They’ve always been hoping that I’d be more successful than you, hoping I would rise above and take them with to a higher social status!"
Jiang Weiwei also said, "Jiang Moxi, can’t you think about your parents for once? If anything really happens to in this cell, they would be heartbroken."
Jiang Weiwei wanted to persuade Jiang Moxi to confess, but suddenly there ca a burst of applause.
Following the sound of the applause, Jiang Weiwei saw Si Lin, wearing a light gray casual suit, walking towards them with an air of superiority.
"I thought that old bag’s moral values were astonishing enough. Turns out there’s soone even more shocking."
As Si Lin approached, Jiang Weiwei could see the sneer of indifference on his refined, craftsman-like chiseled handso face.
"To directly use soone else’s work to get an award and still act so entitled, tsk tsk..."
Si Lin shook his head and sincerely said to Jiang Moxi, "I think distancing yourself from that damn family was the right thing to do. Otherwise, your values would inevitably beco as skewed as theirs."
Jiang Weiwei realized her words had inadvertently revealed so truth, and now escaping the bla seed even more impossible.
Since it’s co to this, then even in death she must drag Jiang Moxi down with her!
So, she shouted towards Si Lin.
"Young Master Si couldn’t possibly think that soone like Jiang Moxi, coming from our kind of family, could be any good, right?"
"She’s clearly the Justice Hacker that the National Security Departnt wants to catch. She’s already caused large-scale destruction twice. Now, she’s just taking the opportunity of stealing her assignnt to pin all the bla on ."
Compared to being sent to prison, being exposed for stealing an assignnt really isn’t much.
Therefore, Jiang Weiwei didn’t mind revealing her own shortcomings, as long as she could drag Jiang Moxi down to hell with her.
Upon hearing Jiang Weiwei’s words, Si Lin gave her a cold glance.
Then, his gaze landed on Jiang Moxi again.
His gaze seed sowhat ambiguous, yet not at all frivolous.
"You probably don’t know that I’ve been aware of Xixi’s identity for quite so ti now."
In that instant, Jiang Weiwei’s pupils dilated in shock.
And finally, Jiang Moxi also fixed her cold gaze upon Si Lin.
Because she knew that Si Lin’s words not only ant that he knew she, Jiang Moxi, was the Justice Hacker, but it could also an he knew she, Jiang Moxi, was the Dead Ghost!
Jiang Moxi’s eyes were filled with complex emotions.
Because Xuanming, while teaching her how to kill, also warned her that if one day her real identity were to be rembered by soone outside the organization and beco a lever for that person to control her, it would be best to eliminate that person!
So, for a mont, Jiang Moxi truly harbored a murderous intent towards Si Lin.
But it seed Si Lin hadn’t noticed this, still locking eyes with Jiang Moxi, he continued to speak.
"And the reason I specifically applied to beco the supervising officer for this term’s Information Security Departnt trainees was to protect and escort her."
Watching Jiang Moxi and Si Lin gazing at each other as if no one else was present, and hearing Si Lin’s partiality towards Jiang Moxi, Jiang Weiwei nearly lost control.
"No... How could soone as bad as Jiang Moxi be worth all this for you?"
Si Lin continued to look at Jiang Moxi, and with a smile on his lips, said, "The world favors the white lotus, but I alone admire the flower of evil! The more inscrutable, the more I yearn, the more I want to protect her!"
With those words, Jiang Weiwei felt a sense of hopelessness, as if she might really be frad and imprisoned for life.
She slumped to the ground, devoid of strength...
While Jiang Moxi continued to lock eyes with Si Lin, her gaze filled with both astonishnt and bewildernt.
In truth, she knew that Si Lin suddenly telling her all this was to let her know that even if he knew she was Dead Ghost, he would still protect her and not expose her.
Just like last night, knowing full well what she and her accomplice had done, he still chose to go against everything and helped her break through all barriers to leave.
To say Jiang Moxi wasn’t shocked at that mont would be a lie.
After all, in her eyes, Si Lin was still the brother of her love rival Si Ruo, and thus also her enemy.
And Si Lin had even tricked her several tis.
The one thing she never imagined was that he would be the first one to stand up and protect her in this matter.
At this mont, Jiang Moxi felt extrely conflicted and had no idea how to respond to Si Lin.
Fortunately, at that ti, Si Lin’s phone rang.
Si Lin withdrew his gaze and answered the call.
Whatever was said on the other end, Si Lin’s expression imdiately turned much more serious.
"The Justice Hacker has launched another attack on the Information Security Departnt, causing the entire Yan City to go into paralysis? And it’s the sa thod of attack as before?"
Si Lin turned back to look at Jiang Moxi, then continued, "That’s impossible!"
