Chapter 92: Chapter 92
"Alastor, why are you stalking ?" Killian asked while he stared at the bag of candy he was expecting Alia to co to him for. She had been so excited when she spotted them that he thought she would kill anyone who tried to take them away from her.
Alastor appeared in the shadows of the room Killian had picked for himself. "As always, I cannot hide from you, my king. I only wanted to know why you were still awake."
"Have you forgotten we are demons, Alastor? We enjoy staying up at night when all the fun happens or do you expect
to start acting like a human because I am marrying one?" Killian looked away from the candy to his friend.
"No. The day you start acting like a human I will return to the underworld. The hellhounds and Grimms would be more fun to be around at that ti. They don’t even talk," Alastor added to show how much he would detest Killian acting like a human. "Sweets?" He looked at the bag before Killian. "I thought you disliked them?"
"I’m having a change in heart. They taste excellent when coming from a woman’s mouth," said Killian.
"Killian, have you already slept with the princess?" Alastor smiled. It would be wonderful for others to learn the princess had broken the ridiculous rule humans followed to not have sex before they are married.
"Alastor, I would rather you not smile when ntioning my sex life and no, I did not sleep with her. I simply went out to have fun with her. Killed a few people-"
"Without ?" Alastor exclaid, feeling hurt for being left out in the fun. "I have been in this boring castle all day listening to the nonsense these humans talk about. Do you not feel bad for ?"
"No."
"Killian!" Alastor whined.
"I keep telling everyone that under that cold personality you are a big baby. I have not confined you to the castle, Alastor. Go out and kill anyone you think belongs in the underworld but be sure to have the Grimms take care of the ss. I don’t need the devil up my ass. Now get out," Killian closed his eyes. He had given up on Alia coming to get her precious candy.
"I heard an interesting conversation in the throne room today. Her cousin and his grandfather would both like the princess to sacrifice herself to kill you once we reach the north. Is she takes part-"
"She won’t," Killian reassured Alastor. He had personally witnessed how hard she had been trying to make things work between them. If others knew she was the one to kill the king, they would not think she would accept killing him to get revenge.
"Not that she could kill you. There have been skilled demons who made an attempt but failed miserably. Still, we should keep an eye on this since you’ve ntioned a truce. If they break it, we attack no matter what. No stopping like last ti because you care for that girl," said Alastor.
"I am aware of that, Alastor. I don’t allow anyone to get away with breaking my trust. Besides, you know I don’t plan on making this castle remain as it is in the future."
"Yes, I am aware of the fact you are planning to have one of your bloodlines sit on this throne in the future but we could have simply taken over it and have you rule two kingdoms," Alastor stated what he believed to be the best plan from the beginning. "Things change all because you want the princess. You could have just taken her and no one would be able to stop you. Not even ."
"That’s no fun," Killian replied. To entertain himself, he created a smokey image of Alia. "It’s better to watch her willingly give herself to ."
Alastor still did not get what was so amazing about the princess. "In this short period, have you fallen in love with her?"
"Love? I have never felt that emotion. Not even toward a demon. I am simply fascinated by her right now but once we get married I suppose we will start to love her. I don’t see why you are judging
for wanting to marry a human when the devil himself has married one in the past and she continues to sit on the throne in the underworld," Killian reminded Alastor of sothing he seed to forget.
"Well, the queen of the underworld has always had a heart like a demon even when she was a human. It’s not surprising the devil would have married her. She was able to turn herself into a demon. Your princess on the other hand is nothing like us. Killing her father is not enough to impress
when other humans do it daily," said Alastor.
"It’s a good thing she does not need to impress you," Killian fanned his hand to get rid of the smoky image of Alia. "Didn’t I tell you to leave? Don’t tell
you plan to sleep here tonight. The floor is quite cold."
Alastor shifted his gaze from the bed Killian was lying on to the empty one beside it. "There are two beds."
"That one is for my wolves when they finally decide to enter the castle. Do you honestly want to sleep with them? Aside from , they like to chew the flesh of anyone around. Demon or not but if you wish," Killian paused as Alastor vanished into thin air. "Works like a charm. Hurry up and co inside the two of you," Killian whispered.
It had been a while since he saw the two wolves and knew they had created problems around humans or they must have traveled back to the north without him.
"Fucking traitors," he muttered.
Killian stared at the bag of candy one last ti before setting it on fire. He was not a nice person and since she had not co for what she wanted, he got rid of it. After witnessing her happy expression, he wanted to see her angry once again. Killian closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep anticipating her reaction tomorrow.
As the moon quietly disappeared from the sky and the sun took its place, there was a knock on Killian’s door around the ti for breakfast.
Killian grinned as he sensed who the visitor was. She was many hours late to claim her candy. If she wanted more, they would have to sneak out in the middle of the night again.
"Well this is a pleasant surprise," Killian said the mont he opened the door. "To what do I owe this early morning visit when you have never sought
out before, princess? Did you miss ?"
Alia felt the need to wipe the smile off Killian’s face. He knew exactly why she was here right now. "Where is it? Where is my candy you took off with?" She asked in a hushed tone. She would not have co to him for any other reason but for her new candy, which he wouldn’t be able to get anyti soon as she promised her grandmother she would not leave the castle.
Alia planned to keep that promise starting now.
"Candy? I don’t recall having any candy. Where on earth would I even get candy?" Killian feigned ignorance to piss her off. "Why are you turning red princess?" He comnted on her red cheeks which matched the red dress she wore.
"Killian," Alia said in a low tone as she held back her anger. "Do not play around with my candy. Give it here," she held out her hand to receive it.
Killian should know not to co between her and her food. It was the one thing other than harming innocent people that would make them beco enemies once again.
"You must be referring to the candy I set on fire last night. I have nothing to give you, princess. It’s a sha you ca all this way just to find out its gone. You should have ca last night as I told you to," said Killian.
Alia stared at him for a mont before leaving without saying anything.
Cyrus appeared out of the sidelines and shook his head. It waa wonderful how he had to do nothing to break up the relationship the two had. If Killian wanted to get back on her good side, he needed to get back the candy right this mont. However, Cyrus hoped that he wouldn’t so the relationship could remain sour.
"I shouldn’t have been nice and offered him anything. Was I out of my mind?" Alia muttered as she stord down the halls. "If he wasn’t the king, I would give him such a good punch."
"Princess, incoming threat," Cyrus interrupted her rant to warn her of Cedric Adams heading his way. "All sorts of people are coming into the castle these days. You need to ne careful."
"I always am. He must feel like the Adams own this castle now. Good morning Cedric," Alia forced a smile to greet the man she had always disliked.
"Good morning, princess. I request a chat before breakfast."
