Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"I’m doing a perfectly good job taking care of the princess while she sits on her ass and eats the cake the baker sends to the castle for the royals. Just try

one more ti and I will inform soone of you eating sothing that is not ant for you. Alia’s leaving so I should give that woman a good curse when I am..." Gina’s rant ca to a halt as she found that a northerner was right in front of her. ’He’s going to kill ,’ she thought.

"Interesting words for a lady like yourself," Alastor said as he approached Gina. She wasn’t as good-looking as many of the demons he had been with or even so of the human won he saw here but she would have to do it for now.

"Wait," Gina started to recognize who he was. "You are by Killian Bune’s side a lot. You are like his right-hand man."

"The one he rarely listens to," Alastor replied.

"Is there sothing I can do for you? Are you looking for your king?" Gina asked. She was well aware that neither Alia nor Killian were in the castle right now.

"No. I am looking for a way to pass ti."

Gina looked him up and down then took a step back. "Sir, I am not a whore. I am a maid," she pointed at her attire. "There are many places for you to go past the ti but you surely won’t be doing it with . Good night."

"I never said I wanted to sleep with you," Alastor said just as she was about to walk past him. "You assud that on your own. You are far from being my type."

Gian knew she shouldn’t feel offended but she did. She was far from being ugly so much that a northerner wouldn’t want her. "You’re just trying to insult . Why on earth wouldn’t I be your type? Besides the princess, I find myself to be the prettiest girl here."

"Does it hurt to be that delusional?" Alastor grinned and found the little human turning red to be funny. ’Perhaps this is why Killian likes to watch humans? Does he wonder how many colors they can change to?’ Alastor wondered.

Alastor had approached Gina for her to be his experint to pass ti in the castle while he was there. He wanted to figure out what entertainnt Killian could possibly get from watching humans.

Gina clenched her fists to restrain herself from hitting him. He was stronger than she and Alia would not be pleased with it. Not when Alia’s goal was to have the Blackwells and the north getting along.

Gina took a breath to calm her emotions. "Goodnight. Whatever you might need, find a maid with a nightti shift and ask them for help. Let’s try to avoid running into each other," she said before once again walking off.

Alastor thought she would be the perfect human to run a test on. As she was close to the princess, she would be able to help him paint a picture of why his future queen had to be a human.

Right as soon as he took a step forward, Alastor heard a flapping noise and did not need to look up at the sky to know that Killian was back. In Alastor’s opinion, Killian was being careless by flying around with the princess but anything to impress a girl he guessed.

anwhile,

Killian placed Alia down on her balcony now that their night of fun had co to an end. He would say he found nothing about where they went to be amusing but he did not want to hurt her feelings after Alia looked happy the entire night.

"I hope you had fun," Alia said with a handful of things she bought throughout their ti in town.

Luckily, no one else had identified her or Killian and caused trouble.

"Yes," Killian partially lied. Though he found nothing about the town to be entertaining, he was amused by how childlike Alia was as she walked around. Princess of a kingdom and yet she had to sneak out to have fun. Whenever he grew bored of his castle he would simply walk out of the castle to go outside and have fun.

"Great," Alia smiled, feeling good for accomplishing her goal tonight. "Here. You can have one bag," she offered him one of her bags of sweets. He paid for everything so the least she should do was offer him one.

"Thank you but I do not enjoy sweets as you do. Please, eat them," he rejected the bag. Personally, he felt she should not eat so much but he did not want to ruin her happiness. Maybe she planned to share so with her friends?

"I can’t but if Cyrus is still awake I will offer him so. He frowns whenever I offer him sweet things but I know he secretly likes- Hey!" Alia exclaid when Killian took the bag from her. "You just rejected them."

"I’ve simply changed my mind," he replied.

"Jealousy will be the death of you n. Fine," Alia didn’t bother to fight for them back. She had plenty of treats still in her hands so Gina and Cyrus would not go without any. "At least I got you to take them. What are you doing?" She stared at the piece of candy he held out for her.

"Taste it," Killian urged her.

Alia found it suspicious he was urging her to eat another one when back in town he had told her many tis it was too late to be eating anymore. "You’re going to end up taking it from my mouth, aren’t you?"

"No," Killian honestly replied. "You accidentally gave

the bag with the ones you have never tried before. If you wish to get them back, co to my room."

Killian disappeared into thin air before she could beg for them back. He wanted that for once, she would co to him.

"What the hell?" Alia muttered and quickly started to look through her bags for the candy she wanted to try with Gina and Cyrus for the first ti. "Am I sleepy? How can I not check which bag I was giving him and give away my new candy? Wake up," she playfully smacked her face.

She wanted this to be a situation where she had fallen asleep in Killian’s arms on their way back ho and she had not actually given away her candy. This had to be a nightmare.

"I’m not going to his room for them," she quickly made a decision.

Alia had two options. She either had to walk there and let all the maids see her going to Killian’s bedroom in the middle of the night or have Cyrus magically take her there like how Killian was able to teleport. However, she had a feeling that was not sothing Cyrus would want to do and she was not going to force him.

"Killian does not even like candy. He better not give it away," Alia muttered as she left the balcony and went into her room. She hoped Killian stayed awake for a long ti expecting her to visit. "Does he think I am a fool to co to him? Ha!"

Alia would not have her reputation ruined over candy. She was certain that he would hand her back her candy tomorrow as he would have nothing to do with it. Then again, he was a demon and might take it upon himself to burn it.

"I think of demons as being evil but are they?" Alia thought out loud as she began to get undressed. "He likes playing gas and killing people but there are many normal people like that here. Unless they are all secretly demons?" It was a possibility she had to consider.

Surely, there had to be demons who ca down from the mountains and lived among her people. The way you could tell if soone was from the north was their attire and the slight accent they had. Sotis northerners had a distinct look but it wouldn’t be hard for so of them to blend in here.

What if Killian used those people secretly living here to get information? It would explain why a large group of northerners were able to hide from their guards. Soone could have been helping them and at first, she thought it was her grandmother.

"So what was it I saw being carried off on the back of a cart? She is up to sothing but what? I should have known she wouldn’t have aided our enemy. As much as she wanted Killian and I to et, she wouldn’t betray her people so what else could it have been?" Alia found herself facing a large wall.

No matter what direction she turned there was soone with secrets.

"At so point, everything has to unravel," she decided to not think about what her grandmother was up to.
