Chapter 347: Chapter 347

"My hand is better right here. I have missed your softness," Killian said, giving her a small squeeze. "As soon as you have healed, it is important for us to give the North an heir to sit on the throne."

"Is it not important for Mara to have a sibling?" Alia asked, surprised he didn’t think of Mara first. There weren’t other children in the castle for her to play with. It was only when they travelled outside the gates that Alia saw children she would call to the castle in the future to play with Mara.

Mara needed a sibling or two. Alia didn’t want Mara to be like her without anyone in the castle to play with and understand being a princess. A sibling would be better to trust than so of the children of nobles.

"I thought it would be more convincing if I spoke about the North. The North cannot remain without a ruler. We made the two kingdoms into one to make humans and demons get along, but the North has an empty castle that needs a ruler. What if Mara grows to not want to rule?" Killian questioned as it was a problem they could face in the future.

Killian wanted his children to rule lands, but he would not force them to. Whatever path Mara wanted to take, he would support her. He would only need to convince Alia to have more children with him.

"I see that you have thought long and hard about our next child. If she doesn’t want to be queen of either land, we will give the title to the child who is best suited. I am not opposed to having another child soon. Not because I need heirs, but because I want to have more children. Can you imagine two Mara’s? Or maybe this ti we will have a boy," Alia said, looking forward to it being either one.

Ti flew by quickly with Mara already halfway to becoming one. It felt like just yesterday Killian had broken the news that she was pregnant. Alia enjoyed being a mother and wanted to be a mother to more children.

"As you said, when I am healed we should try for another. It is surprising that I am not already pregnant with the second child. We have both been busy with the kingdoms, underworld, and Mara, but we have made love frequently. I got pregnant with Mara so fast last ti. Are we doing sothing wrong this ti?" Alia wondered.

Killian placed Alia down in a chair inside a small library which had a big window to look out of. Alia couldn’t see, but she could listen to the sounds outside and learn to focus on one sound.

"You still cling to

and I release-"

"I didn’t an like that. Our night activities have not changed, but maybe I am stressed. I’ve been doing too much work in the castle. We should spend a little ti out of the castle with Mara to have a break and to try for another child," Alia suggested. "We could co here as long as Lucifer won’t stop by to give you a task."

She had not spent ti out of the castle for a break since the ti they used Edith’s ho in the mountain and now while she healed. It was ti for them to spend more ti together as a family and not just seek each other out during the day. Alia wanted to spend hours upon hours with Killian and Mara.

"It is not Lucifer you need to think about. It is his wife who tries to be near you too often. I will put a shield up around this house to keep her out. Are you certain you would want Mara in the underworld? You always worry about Agramon though he has been quiet," Killian reminded her.

"He has done nothing to us for a year. He might be plotting sothing or maybe he has moved on, but I do not want worrying about him or anyone else to stop you from introducing Mara to this other world she is a part of. You will soon need to teach her about demons. There are demons in the castle, but she will learn more about them here. I would like to bring her," Alia decided.

It was inevitable that Mara would have to co into the underworld one day. They should start while she is young to get her used to it.

"Oh," Alia said as water filled her eyes, and slowly, her vision ca back. "I can see a little bit. Thank goodness. I didn’t want to go long without my vision."

Alia wiped away the water from her eyes and looked out the window Killian seated her in front of. She got her first look at the underworld with demons flying by along with strange birds, fire, and hills with stone fortresses where she assud demons lived or so souls were kept. It was like a big town.

"It is better than I imagined. The temple always spoke of it being a place filled with ruins. Fire everywhere to burn you, but there doesn’t seem to be that much fire. Only on the ground. It is amazing that the trees do not burn. I hope to explore one day. You need to show

where you like to spend your ti just as I have shown you my favourite spots in the Blackwell castle," Alia said, turning to Killian.

He looked out at the view before them. There was so much more about Killian that she would learn from being down here.

"Enjoying the view?" Killian mused as he felt her gaze on him.

"I am. Quite a lot. It was torture to not see my handso husband. I didn’t think it would ever be possible, but you have beco more handso since I last saw you. Can you please stop so I do not beco more jealous of your beauty?" Alia begged him.

She figured that her new eyes made her vision better and now, Killian was much more handso.

"I will need you to walk around with a mask covering your face to stop won from looking at you. I’ve already noticed that the maids like to sneak glances at you. A lot of the talk about you has changed from calling you the devil to speaking of your looks. I made the mistake of marrying a man with your looks."

Killian smiled, liking when Alia’s protectiveness ca out. He enjoyed the way she would cling to him when so foolish woman would get too comfortable with the way they spoke or tried to touch him.

"It is good that you experience how I feel when I catch n sneaking glances at you. I say we toss the annoying fools into a fire-"

"No," Alia disagreed, shaking her head. "All the n in the kingdom would end up dying if I let you torture them for looking. Sotis I want to pull on a lady’s hair for speaking about you as if you are not married, but I hold myself back because you are mine. Besides, what lady aside from my grandmother could hold your interest?"

Killian frowned, put off by the ntion of Margaret and the fact that before Alia, he was intrigued by the woman who went behind her husband’s back to et with him. "I told you what I felt the day I first saw you was nothing like eting your grandmother. I never had any feelings for her nor was I attracted to her. I rely liked her boldness to et with

behind her husband’s back."

"Sure," Alia sarcastically replied. "What has happened to her?"

Alia was aware that the toad her grandmother had turned into had died before the witches could do as they said and boil her alive in a potion. They used the dead toad in a potion so the body would not go to waste.

Alia never asked what would beco of Margaret’s soul since she died a toad. She tried not to think of anyone from her past. She only thought of Beth since she occasionally saw her aunt around the town. They never spoke and they didn’t need to.

"She’s a forr queen and a descendant of priests. She’s here in the underworld if you ever want to speak to her," Killian offered.

"I don’t need to," Alia replied as it would only end with Margaret being angry with her. Alia stood up from her chair and walked over to the one Killian sat in to sit on his lap.

"What is this? You normally like to talk about

touching you so often," Killian said, embracing her as she sat on him.

"It is okay to be touchy sotis, but your hands wander to places they should not be," Alia answered.

"They move on their own to places they find comfortable. Are you tired, Alia?" Killian questioned, his tone suggesting sothing else that Alia understood.

"I am far from tired, dear husband."
