Chapter 226: Chapter 226
"Do not keep us waiting, Agramon. Tell us what have you done to make demons feared? To not make a mockery of us? I’m afraid word of what you accomplished never reached my ears, but I can reward you now if you speak up," Lucifer said, knowing Agramon had nothing to claim he did. All Agramonn did was continuously complain to him about Killian and wanting to be King. Agramon had plenty of opportunities to try killing Killian and take the throne.
"I’ve fed on the living-"
"I’ve heard of many demons recklessly feeding on the souls of the living. That is nothing special to . You spent so many years in this world and yet, your na has not reached far past the north. For a demon of high ranking, it’s a little disappointing, don’t you think? Instead of always complaining, I think it would have been better for you to work with Killian instead of inciting a feud," said Lucifer.
"With all due respect, you favor Killian. He was easily handed the north and you continue to back him. You let him easily take a human. A woman who adds nothing to the north," Agramon glanced at Alia. She was useless and the re fact she was a cocky Blackwell infuriated him. The devil should allow the demons here to go on a feeding frenzy and consu her soul.
"I have no place to be against Killian marrying a human when I have done so myself. I have many titles and claim to be many things but I will not be called a hypocrite. Besides, we have not given Alia to prove her worth. She is of royalty after all. She might surprise all of us," Lucifer said, as being chosen by Gods ant she would do sothing special to surprise even him. "Lilith surprised all of you, did she not?"
Agramon could not argue with that but Alia was not Lilith. He still didn’t like Lilith as she was at one point a human but could acknowledge her ruthless nature now. Alia could not even lift a weapon to protect herself. "Your Highness, Killian’s wife is nothing like the Queen of the underworld. Lilith had an extraordinary life before she died unlike the princess here who sat in a castle and did nothing. A castle that took our kind and made them slaves. Myself and a few demons want the princess-"
"She is your Queen as long as you reside in the north. If you don’t like it, leave," Killian cut in, walking down the steps to get Agramon.
"Gentlen," Lucifer stuck out his arm to block Killian from going to Agramon. "We mustn’t ruin the Queen’s big day with the two of you fighting. We should save this for later when she goes to sleep."
"Lucifer," Lilith warned.
"I’m kidding darling. I’m kidding," Lucifer lied. He would love to see a fight between the two n who bickered with each other for thousands of years. Well, it was mostly Agramon picking a fight with Killian.
At this point, Lucifer was starting to believe Agramon actually did not care about becoming King of the North. Agramon had enough influence and power to create an uprising with his followers to take over the castle. Agramon had no reason to be afraid of Killian when they were the sa rank. A demon created by a God. There had to be sothing more to Agramon’s issues with Killian.
’Is he angry I assigned Killian to be the one to reveal our kind to the world?’ Lucifer thought. It was an important job as the person he chose would be at the front of the army Lucifer soon planned to send up to this world. For years Agramon tried to be his right-hand man, but Lucifer never cared for Agramon’s plans.
"There are other kingdoms you can rule, Agramon. So are abandoned so you can take your followers there to revive it or take over a kingdom ruled by humans. It shouldn’t be so hard for a demon like yourself. I am quite old and have no ti to hear you in my ear complaining about Killian. Before I am bothered by this conversation of who runs the north, let’s do this. Kill Killian," Lucifer ordered Agramon.
"What?" Alia muttered, taking a step forward to object to this, but Lilith held her hand.
"Do not interfere. Lucifer has always said that if anyone wants to rule the north, they should kill the King who sits on the throne. Agramon has been asking for the throne from the mont Killian claid the north. He had ample ti to try killing Killian. Have a little faith in your husband. He will not lose this fight. Especially when it seems being Queen is sothing to you. Don’t you just love it when n fight over you?" Lilith smiled. She rembered the good old days with Lucifer defending her.
Alia didn’t share Lilith’s excitent to watch Killian fight Agramon. It wasn’t that she didn’t believe Killian wouldn’t win the fight in the end. It was just the fact he might get a few bruises in the midst of it. Agramon shouldn’t be underestimated for the damage he could do since everyone spoke of him being a dangerous demon. Out of all days, why did this have to happen today?
She wished Killian and Agramon had sorted this out before she ca to the north. It was already a headache to deal with Fraser and a few people from the court in the Blackwell kingdom. Now she had to deal with this feud and Alia honestly could not figure out why Killian and Agramon were still fighting if Agramon was never successful in taking the throne. Wouldn’t it be better to move on to another kingdom? What was so special about the north for Agramon?
"Must all your ways to bring peace involve violence?" Alia spoke up, choosing not to stand back and let her husband fight. "Surely there is a better way. Is it Killian being King or
being Queen that angers you, Agramon?"
Agramon looked away from Killian to Alia. "Right now, my biggest issue is a human for a Queen. A human who has done nothing to show why she should be our ruler."
