Chapter 159: Chapter 159
"We should make an agreent that if eting your mother goes bad, I did warn you beforehand therefore you cannot take your disappointnt out on . Now, what will I get for checking for her," Killian asked, grinning ear to ear.
"Do you have quick mory loss? You were the one to offer to look for her a mont ago. Why do I need to offer you sothing?" Alia asked.
"It is quite irritating to go down to the underworld and ask the bookkeeper for information on a soul. That man prefers to speak with only the dead."
"How about I kill you and make the task easier?" Alia suggested.
Killian tapped her nose. "Always with killing on your mind yet you do not know how to fight with a weapon. We must start your training soon."
"I ca across many demons, won even, who spoke highly of their skills. I invited them to the castle so I can pick out people to have at my side. Their intentions might be to just get in the castle or get closer to you but I will make them loyal to only . My head hurts thinking of how stressful tomorrow will be," Alia sighed, leaning back into the chair
Thanks to Killian, there was only one more day to prepare for their wedding and her becoming queen of the north. There were so many details to look over. So many that she could not leave the planning to only Gina. Then there were the demons she had to pick and check with which relatives from the Blackwell kingdom were coming to her wedding. She also had to send Jahi away.
"I am sending Jahi out of the castle tomorrow. Gina also caught on to sothing strange about her. I wanted to use Jahi pretending to be kind to my advantage but since I will be picking out others to be by my side, there is no use for her here. The only worry I have is Cyrus leaving though he says he won’t," said Alia.
"I think everyone would be happy if he would leave. Do not try to stop him," Killian said, hiding his excitent to have Cyrus out of his castle. He could never fully trust that man when it ca to having no feelings for the woman he was about to marry.
"n," Alia muttered, rolling her eyes. How many tis did she have to say there was nothing to worry about when it ca to Cyrus? "I am going to get dressed for dinner. I wonder if we will have guests tonight unless you have pissed them off again?"
Killian traced the rim of the cup he held with his index finger. "Why are you so eager to et with them? They are not easy targets for you to ss with like the n in your previous court. I will admit I am holding them off so you can relax before the wedding. The drama should co after."
"Relax?" Alia snickered as it was too late for her to think about relaxing. "I have not relaxed in a long ti but thank you for trying. You do not need to send them away. I am curious about your enemies, well my enemies, and I want to see them. I am going to get dressed while you continue to get drunk."
"I have so news for you. The man Leonard you spoke of, he has walked out of the castle because-"
"What?!" Alia exclaid but then she quickly realized sothing. "How do you know this?"
Killian innocently smiled. As if he would trust the people in that castle to not plot against him once he left the north. His many years in this world watching humans helped him to predict their every move. Fraser wasn’t the only fool excited for the throne and wanting to bring the north down that he had co across. "I left a little spy there to keep
updated. Don’t tell anyone," he said.
Alia wasn’t sure what to say. One thing she knew was her truce was going to crumble far before it was even officially signed. The two sides could never trust each other. At this point, having one of her children sit on the Blackwell throne and another in the north was the only way to connect the two kingdoms.
No matter her efforts as queen, she still had two n with a great dislike for each other. Killian, she could have under her finger at so point in their marriage but Fraser was not one she could ever control. Fraser’s grandfather and the n in court would beat her to it.
’I can’t push back on being intimate. I need a child quickly,’ Alia thought.
She needed a child before Fraser could pick a bribe and have one of his own. When the mont ca to get Fraser off the throne, she needed her child to be already here as the choice for the next Blackwell ruler.
"What are you plotting now? My death?" Killian asked.
"No. I need you to be alive, lucky for you. I am thinking about my plans to put back the Blackwell throne in good hands. I am coming to terms that I will not be the one to make the two kingdoms great and connected. I shall start the process but have my children finish it. I am satisfied with that," Alia said, standing up to go to the closet to change.
"Too bad all twenty of them won’t have a throne to sit on unless we take more kingdoms," Killian mused. He awaited Alia’s reaction and was not disappointed.
"Killian, who in this world do you think will have twenty children for you? It is certainly not
so who?" Alia questioned.
Killian pointed his cup at Alia. "I want all of my children to co from the sa womb. I am a one-of-a-kind demon so I must have many children to carry on my line."
"Twenty? You do know the most you need is three children who will get married and have children. Those three can continue your bloodline pretty fine in my eyes. I am not having twenty children for you. I have heard many stories about the pain and the joy of seeing the child afterward is not enough to make
change my mind. I suggest you get rid of that dream quickly," she said, leaving him alone to change his plans.
Killian didn’t feel like all hope for a lot of children was gone just yet. They couldn’t predict how many children they would have right now. Alia was forgetting that he planned to let her stay alive for as long as he was still alive so it wasn’t like he planned to get those twenty children anyti soon. She was in for a surprise if they ended up with many more.
He could hardly wait for the first little demon to co.
