Chapter 103: Chapter 103
"It’s about ti you left that boring castle and got away from the princess. I’m starting to think you need to be tossed back down into the underworld to regain your old self or maybe you have beco too old which explains your stupid actions," Alastor spoke his mind to Killian.
"This anger you have towards the princess, it feels like you wish to be in her place. I am not interested in you, Alastor."
"Please," Alastor scoffed. "If I were interested in n, you would not be on my list, Killian."
"Well, you have been nagging
far too long for it to be a simple concern of a friend. Perhaps you need to find yourself a woman instead of focusing on my life," said Killian.
"You were the one to pick
to help you make decisions for the people. Honestly, it was only because you were annoyed with the nurous things you had to do as king and put the work on . I have to keep warning you that our kind will not easily warm up to a human. They’re so weak," Alastor said as he watched the humans walk by in the town. "I’d be surprised if she lasts a week."
Killian wasn’t bothered by it. He wouldn’t have wasted his ti picking her to be his wife if he did not expect her to last long. "She will outlive many of you. The staring is a bit much, isn’t it?" Killian asked out loud to the people watching him. They wouldn’t like it if he stared at them for a long period of ti.
So of the crowd averted their eyes but others kept looking and talking about Killian.
"It feels like death is nearby. I cannot believe you left
out of the fun," Alastor grumbled, referring to the n Killian killed late in the night.
"In the future, I will not be multitasking to make you and my wife happy. Yet again I advise you to get a woman. Or a man," Killian added as most demons did not care about gender.
"Once again I will remind you that I have no interest in n. Married life does not suit
or I would have done it already. If you’re saying I should spend my ti with one of the won here, none of them amuse . I will say I have been getting closer to the maid around the princess. I don’t see why they placed such a weak girl by the princess’s side."
Killian gave Alastor a look before smiling but did not comnt on it.
"Your silence tells
you are internally laughing at ," Alastor said without looking at Killian. He knew Killian for many years to read his mind.
"I did nothing. Have you picked up on anything yet?" Killian asked
"A few of them but we should hit the places that hold the most of them first. The n I sent out picked up on a lot of them at a couple of houses. Should we hit all of them one ti?"
"Do it but be sure to leave survivors. I want to know where they are keeping the rest of the slaves. It’s a beautiful day for blood to be spilled. Tell the n not to disappoint ," said Killian.
Killian walked ahead of Alastor to go out of town to get away from the annoying glances. You would think the people here have never seen a person before. Alastor was right that the town slt like death but it could not have been from the n he killed. He killed them away from where Alastor slled it and the Grimms had cleared up the ss. Soone else got killed in the town.
Alastor returned to Killian’s side and said, "I’ve inford the n to attack. Do you want to watch?"
"That is why I left the castle," Killian grinned, ready to see the humans who took his people as property be punished. He disappeared into thin air followed shortly by Alastor.
Killian appeared on the outside of the gates of one of the houses they were going to attack and take away slaves. His n had already arrived and were at the doors waiting to get inside.
Normally Killian would join in the fight but it was boring to fight against humans. They were weaker compared to him which ant the fight was too easy. On their trip to the Blackwell castle, he let the n have fun doing the killing. King Richard was ant to be the only person he would kill and then he would return to the north.
"They got inside. I should have brought along so wine to enjoy the screams." Alastor’s eyes turned red as his excitent for death grew. "It’s boring to sit back and watch. Shall we get a closer look?"
To calm the excited human puppy beside him, Killian started walking toward the ho and listened to the sweet sound of others screaming. As they reached the front door, they were greeted by the sight of dead servants on the floor and a few people dressed in fancy clothes which ant they were the owners.
"Release
right now. Do you have any idea who I am!" The sound of a man yelling was heard as one of Killian’s n dragged soone toward him.
"No, I have no idea who you are but it seems you have slaves hidden away sowhere in your ho. Didn’t you hear your princess announce to let them go?" Killian asked, staring down at the poor excuse of a man. It was clear the man was on the verge of peeing himself.
"I have no slaves present. You killed my family all for nothing. You murderer!" The man pointed his finger at Killian and yelled.
"I don’t hide the fact that I am a murderer like you hide you have been selling others. Stop trembling as I won’t kill you nor turn you into the castle. No, there’s no fun in that. How about we make this even more fun? If my n do not find any slaves here, I will set you free and even consider bringing back your family. If at least one slave is found here, you will beco one yourself. Deal?" Killian held out his hand for the deal to be made.
The man stared at Killian deeply confused by what he ant by bringing back his dead family. He could not shake Killian’s hand as there were indeed slaves still here.
Alastor circled the plump man before kicking his hand. "Hurry up and answer the king before I kill you."
"He knows why he can’t answer . I can tell when soone is lying to . You are making it too easy with the sweat and the trembling. I’ll change the ga. Tell
how many slaves you have hidden away and I will sell you off to a demon. Go on," said Killian.
"D-Demon?"
"King Killian," one of Killian’s n interrupted his conversation before he could scare the man.
"We found them. There are nine of them here."
"Nine. Hmm, I thought you said there were no slaves present. Looks like you lost the chance to walk away from this with your family. You have a double price to pay . One for not returning my people and two, for lying to . Hang his servants and family at the gates to serve as a warning to everyone else," Killian ordered his n.
They would attack the rich but scare the average folk into returning any slaves they bought back to the castle.
Alastor gripped the man’s shoulder and asked, "Can I kill him? He doesn’t seem like he wants to live without his family. I’ll be doing him a favor."
"No! No! I want to live! Please forgive
for taking them. I can tell you the nas of everyone who brought slaves from . I can tell you the nas of the people who own more and are in charge of the black market. Please keep
alive," the man threw himself at Killian’s feet to be spared.
"Your family who you were just having lovely monts with is dead but here you are pleading for your life instead of not being able to live without them. I suppose we could do it with a pet, Killian. I like humans with hearts full of greed and selfishness," Alastor said, changing his mind about the man’s fate.
"Get the nas from him," said Killian. He would use the man for now but death would soon be knocking on his door. "Bring the slaves out. Give them food and clothing from this ho before sending them to et up with the others who will take them back ho."
"There are slaves who are not our own. What shall we do with them?"
"Release them. It should make your future queen happy. Hurry up with this and go to the next ho where other slaves are present. I have sowhere to be. It seems my pets are nearby," Killian vanished into thin air to search for his two wolves.
