Zhang Yuanheng did not dare to move, lest his slightest effort cause Cheng Zhiwei to faint in front of him. He could only try to maintain a calm tone, "Young Madam, you must rest."
"But the police took my sister away. How can I rest at ho?" Tears stread down Cheng Zhiwei’s face. "I need to find Zhou Lin and ask him what he really intends to do to my sister."
Zhang Yuanheng still did not know what had happened and looked bewilderedly at Wang i.
Wang i quietly explained a few things.
Zhang Yuanheng was silent for a long while before he persuaded, "But even if you go to him, he may not provide you with a reasonable explanation or help."
"But he’s the only one I can turn to, please." Cheng Zhiwei’s voice was hoarse, "I won’t implicate you. Just say my condition is bad and I need to go to the hospital."
Zhang Yuanheng, already soft-hearted, had treated Cheng Zhiwei several tis, but the more he treated her, the worse her condition beca. Now, her face was completely pale, and a sickly pallor revealed an abnormal bruising, making him even more reluctant to see her suffer.
"Alright, I agree," he said through gritted teeth.
No matter what, Zhou Lin’s actions were too excessive.
"Thank you." Cheng Zhiwei weakly let go. If not for Wang i supporting her, she might have collapsed to the ground. Her cold fingers tightly grasped Wang i’s palm as she moved step by step to the sofa and sat down. Wang i hugged her from behind and covered her with a blanket.
Zhang Yuanheng went out to talk with the bodyguard. The bodyguard ca in, glanced at Cheng Zhiwei’s lifeless, pale face, and imdiately felt a heaviness in his heart before rushing out to make a phone call.
Soon after, Cheng Zhiwei felt herself being lifted, and then she was placed in a car.
However, the hospital Zhou Lin had Cheng Zhiwei sent to was not the one where Zhang Yuanheng was, but rather a far more distant one.
Cheng Zhiwei stayed in the hospital for two days. Luckily, a patient in the next room was fighting over an inheritance dispute with their family, turning the inside and outside of the room into a brawl involving dozens of people—utter chaos—and the two bodyguards couldn’t help but watch.
Cheng Zhiwei seized the opportunity to slip away,
By the ti she reached Seo Zhenzhen’s hospital room, unfortunately, Zhou Lin was not there, just Seo Zhenzhen leisurely lying on the hospital bed, flipping through a book.
Cheng Zhiwei turned to leave.
"Cheng Zhiwei, you ca for Cheng Zhiyin, didn’t you?" Seo Zhenzhen’s words nailed Cheng Zhiwei’s feet to the ground.
Cheng Zhiwei turned, her dark eyes fixed tightly on Seo. "What do you know?"
Seo Zhenzhen chuckled lightly, putting down her book. "I know a lot of things. For instance, ng Qiancheng manipulated Cheng Zhiyin’s concern for you, making her steal Zhou Lin’s docunts. And Zhou Lin, knowing everything, just watched Cheng Zhiyin walk into the trap, framing herself with the cri of theft."
"Right, she’s a teacher, isn’t she? A teacher caught stealing could get her credentials revoked, right? And what about the students she taught? Would they feel shad by her?" Seo Zhenzhen covered her mouth, suppressing her laughter with delight. "I said before, Cheng Zhiwei, next ti I’ll go after their lives, you see, it’s starting now."
Cheng Zhiwei clenched her fingers. She stood there, thinking that all this was like a never-ending nightmare.
"Did you co to ask Zhou Lin to spare your sister?" Seo Zhenzhen’s eyes brimd with schadenfreude. "But if Cheng Zhiyin’s theft is a fact, then ng Qiancheng’s cri can be established. Tell , do you think Zhou Lin will agree to spare your sister?"
All the emotions Cheng Zhiwei had held back and accumulated collapsed, and she moved forward, expressionless, to grab Seo Zhenzhen.
Hatred gives strength, and a sudden surge of power erged deep within her, dragging Seo Zhenzhen forcibly from the hospital bed .
Seo Zhenzhen’s smug smile instantly turned to fear. "Cheng Zhiwei, what are you doing?"
Cheng Zhiwei pinched her chin, her gaze icy, "I’ve thought it over, everything started because of you, so if you die, everything will end."
Seo Zhenzhen’s pupils tightened in shock, but she still feigned composure and yelled, "Cheng Zhiwei, you wouldn’t dare kill , would you?"
Cheng Zhiwei just grabbed her wrist and silently dragged her outside.
Like a walking corpse.
"Cheng Zhiwei, if you dare, if you hurt , Ah Lin won’t let you off, and neither will the Cheng Family," Seo Zhenzhen couldn’t move her legs, so she couldn’t break free, watching helplessly as Cheng Zhiwei dragged her toward the door.
"It doesn’t matter, I’ll drag you to hell with ," Cheng Zhiwei’s dark eyes were especially hollow, her emotions as still as dead water.
Seo Zhenzhen was truly scared now, "Cheng Zhiwei, let’s talk this out."
Cheng Zhiwei didn’t utter a word, opened the door, and was about to leave when an unexpected person appeared at the doorway; she hadn’t even spoken when everything before her eyes turned dark, accompanied by Seo Zhenzhen’s frightened screams in her ears.
...
Zhou Lin furrowed his brows, his eyes filled with anger, "Have everyone start searching imdiately."
Just an hour ago, the bodyguard watching over Cheng Zhiwei finally realized she was missing and hurriedly inford Zhou Lin, who upon checking, found out that Cheng Zhiwei had gone to et Seo Zhenzhen.
But now, both Cheng Zhiwei and Seo Zhenzhen were missing.
The hospital’s surveillance captured Cheng Zhiwei entering Seo Zhenzhen’s hospital room, but there was no footage of anyone leaving.
It was as if they had vanished into thin air.
Secretary Zhang hurried into the hospital room, "President Zhou, I just received the news that ng Qiancheng was released an hour ago."
Zhou Lin’s pupils tightened sharply, and a chilling aura radiated from him, "How did he get out?"
"Third Grand Master bailed ng Qiancheng out, but once he entered the front door, he never ca out. Could the disappearance of Young Madam and Miss Seo be..."
"Let’s go."
Zhou Lin led his n and stord into Zhou Jinzhong’s house. At that mont, Zhou Jinzhong was eating. Without a word, Zhou Lin flipped the table over and demanded, "Where is ng Qiancheng?"
Zhou Jinzhong smashed the utensils he was holding onto the ground and roared angrily, "Zhou Lin, you’ve turned the heavens upside down."
Zhou Lin’s eyes were bloodshot, exceptionally terrifying, "Zhou Jinzhong, you can sit here and eat, rather than sitting in a police station like your grandsons and sons, because I spared you the dignity. You don’t know how to behave prudently and even dared to release ng Qiancheng. Do you really think I wouldn’t touch you?"
On the day ng Qiancheng was taken away by the police, Zhou Lin did not step in; instead, Zhou Chenyuan, as the chairman, stepped in to stabilize the situation, subsequently sending the police a massive file full of various criminal evidence against Zhou Jinzhong’s family.
Then the police arrested everyone except Zhou Jinzhong.
It was akin to an earthquake for Zhou Group, but Zhou Chenyuan, in an ergency board eting, firmly kicked out Zhou Jinzhong’s people. If anyone opposed, they were dealt with as Zhou Jinzhong’s accomplices and handed over to the police, which imdiately made everyone fall in line.
Zhou Group’s control was completely back in the hands of Zhou Chenyuan.
