"Found it. It's this book."

After eting up with Luna and Zauna on the 10th floor, Alice quickly made her way to the sixth floor and visited bookshelf B13. Then, she found the book titled The Generality of Dark Attribute Mana and took it out.

"So there really are books on dark mana here," Alice comnted, finding it a little strange that a library in the human realm would have a book on dark mana.

"Although people with light and dark affinities are incredibly rare, they still exist. So, it is only natural for there to be books on light and dark mana. Only, they are much rarer than books on the four main elents," Zauna explained. "It is especially true for books on dark mana. Since it is impossible for anyone born in the human realm to have an affinity for dark mana, books on dark mana are even rarer than books on light mana. I didn't think that Academy Know-It-All would hide the backdoor to the magic workshop here"

"It is precisely because it is nigh-impossible for humans to have an affinity for dark mana that this person had hidden the backdoor here," Luna followed up with an indifferent expression. "Nobody would even co to check out this book under normal circumstances, much less inject dark mana into it. This would drastically reduce the chances of others discovering the passage to the underground workshop."

"But it sure is a coincidence for Academy Know-It-All to make it so that the magic array can only be activated using dark mana," Zauna said, nodding as she watched Alice flip through the book in search of the teleportation array. "It just so happens that we have Luna with us. If it were anyone else standing in our place, they wouldn't have been able to enter the magic workshop even if they found the backdoor."

It isn't a coincidence. The condition of using dark mana was prepared specifically for , the "Demon King."

Alice awkwardly smiled when she heard Zauna's words. Although she knew the reason why Frosette had set it so that only dark mana could activate the teleportation array, she couldn't reveal the reason. After all, it would be of no benefit to her to reveal that she was the Demon King.

"The 16th page's magic array Is it this one?"

When Alice arrived on the 16th page, she saw that the page talked about a basic dark magic called "Blindness." There was even a sample of the spell's magic array drawn on the page. However, upon closer inspection, Alice noticed signs of tampering on the sample image. Evidently, this sample image wasn't the magic array for Blindness. Instead, it was a teleportation magic array Frosette had left behind.

How smart of her to replace a sample magic array with a new and practical magic array, Alice inwardly thought when she noticed the tampering. The average person wouldn't possibly think that a usable magic array would be hidden here without receiving any hints. Afterward, Alice passed the book to Luna and said, "Luna, try to inject dark mana into this magic array."

"Alright."

Luna accepted the book and took a quick look at the introductory text and the magic array on the page. Imdiately, she understood the thought process of the person who had concealed this magic array here. Then, she nodded and started injecting dark mana into this magic array.

Imdiately, dark light flooded out of the page. Then, with Luna as the center, a moderately-sized teleportation array appeared on the ground.

Seeing this, Alice and Zauna hurriedly stepped into the teleportation array. Then, when Luna increased the mana she injected into the magic array, the three of them instantly disappeared from the sixth floor.

Fortunately, the library's sixth floor stored mainly books on scientific studies. Hence, not many people were on this floor. Bookshelf B13 was also located in a secluded area, so nobody had noticed Alice's group of three suddenly vanishing.

After the teleportation array activated, Alice and the others found their surrounding environnt changing instantly. The nurous bookshelves that originally surrounded them were nowhere to be seen, and taking their place was a dark and narrow corridor.

The corridor was connected to a stairway, and several magic lamps giving off dim lighting were hung along the walls of the pathway.

"Is this where the magic workshop is located?"

Zauna felt that it was too dark here, so she raised her hand and cast the Illumination spell, brightening up the surroundings significantly. At first glance, Illumination seed like a light-attributed spell. In reality, though, the spell achieved its effects by igniting mana. Thus, anyone with mana could use the spell, and Zauna naturally was no exception.

"It seems it's ahead," Luna said as she looked to the other end of the corridor. Of the two ends of this corridor, one end was connected to a stairway, which was probably the original way to reach the magic workshop. anwhile, the corridor's other end was connected to a wooden door with an inconspicuous keyhole.

"Let's head over and take a look. There shouldn't be any dangers here," Alice said as she approached the wooden door with the old key she received from Frosette. Then, she inserted the key into the inconspicuous keyhole and unlocked the door. Although the wooden door looked like it could be kicked open with force, since she had received the key from Frosette, she might as well use it.

Not to ntion, this was a magic workshop they were dealing with. There was no saying whether it was booby-trapped. So, opening the door with the key would reduce the risk of coming into danger.

After pushing the door open, Alice was imdiately greeted by an extrely stuffy odour. Although the sll couldn't be considered repulsive, it still made her feel uncomfortable. The odour slled very much like decaying wood.

"It seems it's been a while since anyone has visited this place I bet this place slled even worse when Academy Know-It-All visited it," Zauna said as she hurriedly pinched her nose, finding the odour very unpleasant. However, she quickly took her mind off of the sll as she curiously scanned the magic workshop.

After all, this place was the workshop of one of the Third Hero's companions. Although most ancient magic was considered obsolete nowadays, there was still so unique magic that existed back then. If this workshop happened to hold the books for such unique magic, she could take inspiration from them and hopefully put them to use in modern applications.

anwhile, Luna remained unfazed even when subjected to the sll of rotten wood. She simply stood near the door as she watched Alice approach the biggest table in the workshop.

"Psychokinesis Transcendence This should be the book, right?"

When Alice picked up the book resting on the table, she instantly saw the words "Psychokinesis Transcendence" on the cover. Although a thick layer of dust covered the book, there were a few obvious handprints on the cover. Frosette should've left these handprints behind when she visited this workshop.

However, even after noticing this, Alice wasn't worried that Frosette might have swapped the real book with a fake. After all, Kristine, who had studied the taboo recorded in this book in the past, could help her verify the book's validity.
