"Lucy, do you have anything going on today?" Gina Lopez asked Linda Campbell again.

Linda Campbell smiled and said, "Most of the things I’ve needed to do here, you’ve already handled for . I don’t have much else to tackle."

"Then accompany Jas to go house hunting. Otherwise, if you head out, you’d still need Jas to go with you. How does that sound?"

Linda Campbell nodded and said, "Okay, I’ll go with Jas and have a look."

Gina Lopez was straightforward, and she even omitted the need for John Brown to send the kids; she personally delivered them alongside Emily Lopez, allowing John Brown and Linda Campbell to focus solely on house hunting.

Rather than heading out imdiately, John Brown and Linda Campbell sat on the sofa and discussed events from the previous night.

"Did you figure out who this person is?" Linda Campbell asked.

John Brown replied, "I should know people like these experts, but judging by physique and martial arts skills, I have no idea who this person is. I can confirm one thing; this person is definitely not SSUP People. Based on height, they don’t seem tall enough for Western Regions; they probably belong to A Region."

"If they’re nearby, it’s likely they’re J Citizen. Our company’s been in fierce competition with J recently."

"They’re quite bold to attempt kidnapping you here."

Linda Campbell chuckled lightly and said, "Perhaps they think it’s hard to make a move in the Capital of SSUP, but here, it gives them a chance, which is why they targeted . Yet they didn’t expect soone as skilled as you to protect ."

John Brown frowned slightly, "If they are from J, then that’s truly a headache. They have so very covert organizations and use rather ruthless thods. They can employ any tactic."

Linda Campbell showed a guilty look and said, "I’m causing trouble for you. I’ll head back to the Capital of SSUP in a couple of days."

Linda Campbell returning to the Capital of SSUP would certainly minimize problems for John Brown. But he wasn’t soone to shy away from responsibilities. With a hearty laugh, he said, "If sothing like this makes back down, then my years in the Hawk Squad would have been a waste. Don’t worry so much. If you want to stay here, then stay. If anyone cos here to bother you, I’ll show them just what I’m capable of."

Seeing John Brown so full of vigor, Linda Campbell’s eyes filled with admiration. She wasn’t a naive girl swooning over a domineering man. She’d seen many such n with integrity, but now she genuinely had feelings for John Brown. Watching him like this made her feel a sense of unspoken pride—this was her man.

"Then I’ll stay here. Let’s go house hunting now." Linda Campbell changed the subject with a bright smile, as she was accustod to life’s ups and downs and didn’t let this matter weigh on her mind anymore.

John Brown agreed, picked up a laptop, and started searching for houses for sale.

Linda Campbell wanted to buy a house, and she was prepared to spend money wherever she wanted to live; she’d buy outright, simple and efficient. But now, choosing a house with John Brown, although troubleso, was filled with fun, so there was no rush to pick just one.

As they browsed through options, they discovered a large flat for sale right in the middle of their neighborhood. The building had a total of twenty floors, but each household occupied two floors, like a duplex. The apartnt on sale had a large area; just one floor was over 160 square ters. The property had been on the market for over six months, probably still unsold.

They looked at the price, exactly two million. With three hundred square ters across the two floors, it averaged just about 6,000 per square ter, a very low price for a place like YODC City. Generally, hos here ranged in the tens of thousands, so two million for a residence was beyond what the average person would consider. If this were in the Capital of SSUP, such a large house for two million would be a steal.

They contacted the hoowner and found out it indeed hadn’t sold. John Brown and Linda Campbell arranged a ti with the hoowner, and half an hour later, they headed downstairs towards the building. It was only two blocks away within the sa neighborhood.

"Jas, Linda, where are you two heading?" They ran into Emily Berns downstairs.

"We’re going to check out a house. This place is a bit small," John Brown didn’t hide it, as it wasn’t sothing that could be concealed and simply stated it outright.

"Where are you house hunting? It won’t be far from here, will it?" Emily Berns imdiately frowned. She had just settled down close to John Brown and their daughter, and now John Brown was planning to move again—this didn’t sit well with her.

John Brown pointed to a building in the center of the complex, "Over there."

"You’re moving from this building to that one?" Emily Berns looked at John Brown in surprise.

John Brown chuckled, "If you have nothing else to do, why not co along?"

Emily Berns agreed imdiately and joined John Brown and Linda Campbell to view the house.

They were greeted by a middle-aged woman in her forties. Seeing John Brown accompanied by two stunningly beautiful won for a house viewing made her a bit dizzy, but she didn’t ask much and just let them look around.

The house opened with a large living room at the entrance, about forty square ters, with a large floor-to-ceiling window balcony facing the sun. The first floor also had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. The layout of the second floor was the sa, though the living room had a pool table instead, while the other rooms were similar.

The property had six bedrooms in total, enough for everyone to live comfortably. Each room had plenty of space and the decor was luxurious yet understated, likely the work of a designer with great taste.

"What do you think?" John Brown asked Linda Campbell and Emily Berns.

Linda Campbell nodded, "I think it’s good."

Emily Berns pursed her lips, "It’s nice, but with so many rooms, will there be one for ?"

John Brown didn’t dare to speak here, while Linda Campbell smiled, "You co to see your daughter; who would dare say you can’t stay here?"

Sarah Evans snorted, "I wouldn’t be so shaless as to use my daughter to threaten others."

Linda Campbell laughed and said to John Brown, "Buying a house is a big deal. Shouldn’t you discuss it with Gina?"

John Brown imdiately called Gina Lopez. It was just noon, and she hurried back with Emily Lopez. Everyone liked the house and Gina Lopez decided on the spot to buy it.

From then on, Gina Lopez handed over all the follow-up matters to John Brown since Linda Campbell could assist, and Emily Berns, who had no other commitnts, could also help.

Upon hearing they were getting a new house, Emily Lopez didn’t feel like going to work anymore and imdiately called in sick, so now their team was even larger.

With so many people already there, John Brown called Emma Campbell to co over. There was a room for her as well, so she naturally needed to take a look.

After signing the contract, John Brown transferred the money to the other party, and the paperwork was handled swiftly. The financial office wasn’t crowded at that ti, and by around 2 p.m., all the property formalities were completed. This house beca John Brown’s new ho.

Next ca the move. John Brown hired moving companies to transfer things from his and Linda Campbell’s places to the new house. The movers mainly handled transportation, while John Brown and others arranged the new ho.

As the host, John Brown and Gina Lopez’s bedroom was the master on the top floor. To conveniently protect Linda Campbell, her room was directly opposite John Brown’s, separated by a bathroom in between.

Emily Lopez chose a bedroom downstairs as she preferred not being too close to Gina Lopez, offering her so convenience.

Around five, Gina Lopez picked up Little Violet and returned ho. Little Violet, seeing the changes, ran up and down the stairs for a while, and finally, under John Brown and Gina Lopez’s suggestion, she settled downstairs. anwhile, the upstairs rooms accommodated Charlotte and Emma Campbell. Both had undeniable ties with John Brown, so Gina Lopez generously arranged this. Besides, should Charlotte or Emma return, having John Brown sneak into their rooms wasn’t the best scenario, especially for Little Violet. So upstairs, everyone having so private space was more convenient.

Furthermore, two bedrooms were still available to serve as guest rooms, for tis when Emily Jenkins, the lazy girl, ca over to scrounge als or when the family had guests staying over.

Emily Berns felt a bit out of place, like she was the only outsider with everyone having a room here.

But in this situation, neither John Brown nor Gina Lopez addressed it. Even if Gina Lopez was generous and broad-minded towards Charlotte and Emma, she wouldn’t go so far as to let John Brown bring another woman to stay at their ho.

Despite feeling unhappy, Emily Berns didn’t express it. She understood the current situation and that getting angry would only create more distance between her and John Brown. So, she kept her feelings in check.

Fortunately, the main items they moved were for those living there, and the house had everything essential. Unnecessary things weren’t brought over.

After a busy day, everyone was a bit tired. Cooking wasn’t appealing, so they went out for a al to celebrate the new ho.

The new house and fresh setup left everyone content. Returning after dinner, John Brown stood in the living room, surveying the surroundings, and was struck by an intense sense of ho—a feeling he couldn’t quite describe.
