Chapter 690: Chapter 729: Emily Jenkins’s Background

John Brown took Alice Brown and Jennifer Hog away, and Brother Bob saw them off to the car, watched them leave, and then stood in the yard without moving for a long ti.

eting John Brown this ti, he didn’t ask about John Brown’s capabilities, and John Brown didn’t say either, only giving him a promise. This seed unreliable, but at this mont Brother Bob was deeply convinced, which made him feel sowhat amused yet incredibly fortunate.

It was funny how he could trust others so easily now, and without conditions, too. The fortunate part was that by believing in John Brown’s promise, he could let go of past matters in his heart and expand his business even more.

Although he wasn’t a billionaire yet, he no longer lacked money. Despite having a significant social status due to his criminal ties, he was aware that such a status gained from illegal activities was never permanent. How many of those involved in cri across the country had teoric rises, only to end up being taken down in the end?

If he wanted to live a good life, he needed to find a strong ally. However, the governnt in SSUP Country was tightening its grip, and officials dared not associate with soone like him who had ties to cri. Especially this National Day, when he tried to gift so leaders, they all refused his gifts and seed eager to distance themselves, which left him uneasy.

He feared that soone might already be targeting him, waiting to make an example out of him. The arrest of Blackjack made him even more paranoid, leading to sleepless and restless nights, to the point of wanting to pack up and flee.

Trusting John Brown seed a bit like grasping at straws, but from interacting with John Brown, Brother Bob sensed that John Brown was definitely not an ordinary person. Especially the confidence he showed when giving his promise was the main reason Brother Bob believed him.

He pulled out his phone and called Robert Goodman. The call was quickly connected, and Robert Goodman imdiately asked eagerly, “Brother Bob, is it done?”

Brother Bob said, “Not yet. I’m planning to act tomorrow, just informing you beforehand.”

“Acting tomorrow? Fine, damn it. Call as soon as you catch him. I want to ss with him thoroughly. Damn it, trying to steal my woman, who does he think Robert Goodman is?”

Brother Bob then said, “Mr. Smith, I saw two identical won with him. I’m not sure which one is his wife.”

“Shit, now that you ntion it, I rember. Gina Lopez has a twin sister. Last ti, her sister tricked . It’s best if you get his wife and sister-in-law together. I want to have fun with them right in front of him, haha!”

Brother Bob chuckled and said, “Alright, I’ll make preparations. I’ll make sure you have fun tomorrow.”

He hung up the call and dialed John Brown, relaying what he discussed with Robert Goodman. The matter with Gina and Emily Lopez was added on the spot, to increase the animosity between Robert Goodman and John Brown. If John Brown really dealt with Robert Goodman, the relationship between him and John Brown would beco closer. Even if John Brown didn’t take drastic actions, their relationship would greatly improve, which would be beneficial for him.

John Brown listened to Brother Bob’s call without much expression on his face, just calmly agreeing before hanging up the phone.

He was still in the car at this mont with Jennifer Hog driving. Alice Brown was sitting on John Brown’s lap, facing him, and a pair of black lace underwear lay on the adjacent seat.

Alice didn’t move while John was on the phone. Once he hung up, Alice imdiately began moving her body. Earlier, she watched John and Jennifer getting intimate, which made her very envious. Naturally, it was her turn on the way back.

Alice and Jennifer didn’t care about Brother Bob’s flattery of John Brown. It’s just Brother Bob, after all. How could he compare to John Brown? Not to ntion John Brown’s identity as a young master of the Capital of SSUP, but also John Brown’s formidable abilities. Even the terrifying incident on the cruise ship was resolved by John Brown. What else couldn’t be handled?

The original relationship with John Brown was already fulfilling for both of them. Who would’ve thought John Brown would openly claim they were his won in front of Brother Bob? Even if just for show, it was enough to make them so excited they didn’t know which way was north. Alice, at this point, was even more determined to serve John Brown wholeheartedly to express her gratitude.

After a passionate session, Alice carefully cleaned off any traces on John Brown. They were willing to be won behind the scenes for John Brown, and John Brown had a wife. They didn’t want his wife to find any incriminating evidence when he returned ho.

John Brown was quite pleased with Alice’s attentiveness. He gently stroked her face and said, “Don’t ntion eting Brother Bob to anyone today.”

Alice imdiately said, “I know. You’re just a security manager at J Corporation, right? How could you have any connections with soone like Brother Bob?”

John Brown laughed heartily. Talking to smart people was easy; he didn’t need to say much and they already knew what to do.

Upon returning ho, it was lively inside. Emily Lopez and Gina Lopez, along with Emily Berns and Emily Jenkins, and their daughter Emily Jones, were chatting in the living room.

When John Brown entered, Gina Lopez imdiately approached him and said, “Back so early? Did you eat outside?”

John Brown shook his head and said, “Just went to see a friend and returned after discussing so matters.”

“We’ve all eaten, only leftovers are left now. Let reheat them for you, you can just have a bite.”

John Brown smiled and said, “I’ll handle it later. You continue chatting with them.”

Emily Berns watched Gina and John Brown, feeling a bit sour inside. Though their conversation seed unremarkable, Emily Berns could sense a tacit understanding between them, sothing she never felt with John Brown, even though they had a daughter together.

After picking up their daughter and giving her a kiss, John Brown greeted Emily Jenkins and Emily Berns before going to shower. Previously, in the car with Alice, they’d just been intimate. Although the surface traces had been cleaned, so scents lingered, so a shower was preferable.

After he took a shower, Gina had already ward up the al for him. None of them were good at cooking, and all the food was takeout, but having sothing ready-made to eat was already quite a rarity for John Brown.

“Emily, why do I never see you go ho?” Sandra asked Emily Jenkins at this point.

Gina was also curious. Ever since they knew Emily Jenkins, she never seed to return ho except to visit Jas Brown or return to her rented place, whether it was the old apartnt or the current one.

Emily Jenkins, biting into a bright red apple, spoke vaguely, “I don’t like going ho.”

“Why? Do they force you to marry every ti you go back?” Sandra asked with a cheeky smile. Today’s youngsters face similar issues; they don’t want to marry too early, but parents are always in a rush.

Emily Jenkins puckered her lips and said, “My family wants to marry soone I don’t like, so I just don’t go back.”

“Well, that sounds quite troubleso. Don’t they look for you while you’re here?”

“They can’t find . I’ve been gone for four years. They don’t even know I’m in YODC City. I changed my number, and I only call them with an out-of-town card occasionally, haha.” Emily Jenkins said with pride about this.

Sandra imdiately asked, “Don’t you miss your parents?”

“Not at all!” Emily answered decisively, and continued, “We have many siblings at ho. One more, one less makes no difference. Besides, they’re busy with their own things, how would they have ti for ?”

Emily Jenkins’s response was hard for Gina and Sandra to understand. Although their parents urged them to marry, the emotional bond with them was still strong, while Emily Jenkins seed to have no such bond with her parents.

Emily Berns chid in, “Then Emily’s family must be quite well-off, no?”

Emily Jenkins took another bite of her apple and said, “Not really, just a run-down company. My parents are always busy with that damn company, trying to marry off to the son of a bigger company’s CEO, without considering if I like him or not. Their vision is only on profits, not on as their daughter.”

Sandra incredulously said, “No way, isn’t it just a misunderstanding on your part?”

Emily Berns interjected, “These kinds of things are quite normal. When a company reaches a certain size, it hits bottlenecks. Further developnt requires cooperation with others, and marriage alliances are the best solution. This is common in our large families.”

Sandra puckered her lips, “That’s really uninteresting. Luckily, our family is ordinary; otherwise, I’d be a sacrificial lamb too.”

Emily Jenkins chuckled and said, “Then just run away. Look at , I ran away and am still living freely. Of course, eting Big Brother Brown and you guys helps, otherwise it’d still be pretty tragic for .”

Everyone laughed. Emily Jenkins, with her big-hearted nature, was also quite careless. Without anyone to look after her, life would indeed be tough. If she weren’t always crashing at John Brown’s place for als, she’d probably be living by borrowing money.
