N Estate, located in the residential area of YODC City, isn’t very ideal because it’s relatively remote. Despite the nice environnt, there are only a dozen or so villas here, which serve as vacation spots for wealthy people. It’s already October, and the weather is getting cooler, so it’s not really vacationing season, making the place even more deserted.
On the single-lane road, as Alice Brown’s car passes by, it stirs up fallen leaves, adding a touch of desolation here.
In the back seat, Jas Brown holds Jennifer Hog while smoking, looking quite relaxed. Jennifer had just satisfied him earlier, making him feel sowhat indulgent—after all, who would do such things while riding in a car? And there’s another beauty in front occasionally glancing backward.
Alice Brown and Jennifer Hog didn’t ask Jas Brown who he was going to et. They were already happy to accompany him, indicating that Jas Brown didn’t treat them as outsiders.
He dialed Brother Bob’s number, telling him he had arrived. Brother Bob quickly ntioned the specific villa location but didn’t say he’d co out to greet them.
After Jas Brown ntioned the villa number, Alice drove straight there. After reaching nearby, she imdiately said, "This should be Brother Bob’s villa, right?"
Jas Brown chuckled and asked, "You know him?"
Alice replied, "I do know him, but we’re not close. I used to quite like these villas, ca by to check them out and know who they were sold to."
"If you guys don’t have anything, why don’t you co along and et him?"
Both Jennifer Hog and Alice Brown looked delighted, but Jennifer cautiously asked, "Us tagging along won’t affect Big Brother Brown, right?"
"It won’t. Let’s go." Jas Brown smiled, patting Jennifer Hog’s cheek.
The car stopped in front of Brother Bob’s villa. Jas hopped out with Alice and Jennifer, noticing the villa was far from the others. Surrounded by lush green trees, the villa appeared especially peaceful. If Jas had co alone, it might have been a bit challenging to find.
Brother Bob ca over, but when seeing Jas actually bring along two beauties, and both TV hosts no less, he was montarily stunned.
Jas Brown greeted him with a smile, saying, "This is Alice Brown and Jennifer Hog from the TV station. Thought I’d bring them here to hang out since they were free. You’re okay with that, right, Brother Bob?"
"Of course, of course!" Brother Bob laughed heartily, inviting all three inside, but wondered deep down what Jas ant by bringing these two hosts. However, seeing both Alice and Jennifer following Jas closely bolstered his assumption sowhat; if Jas were an ordinary person, how could two beautiful hosts follow him like that? Such hosts are usually associated with big bosses and high-ranking officials.
In the villa’s living room, there was an array of dried fruit and nuts, but aside from Brother Bob, nobody else.
After inviting the three to sit down, Brother Bob opened a bottle of red wine, saying, "Mr. Brown, this is an ’82 Raphael Sword I procured. Normally, I’m a rough guy and don’t understand much about these things, but I didn’t want to waste it. Now that you’re here, we’ll enjoy it together."
Alice and Jennifer were slightly taken aback. Raphael Sword wine is globally renowned, especially the’82 vintage, yet it’s been over thirty years, and there likely aren’t many genuine’82 Raphaels left. Usually, claims of ’82 Raphael are often fakes. But Brother Bob’s might actually be genuine. That Brother Bob took out such expensive wine to entertain Jas shows he truly values Jas. Perhaps Brother Bob knows Jas’s identity?
Jas picked up a wine glass, gently swirled it, sniffed it before taking a sip, squinting slightly as he savored it and said, "It really is an ’82 Raphael. Good stuff."
Brother Bob laughed heartily, saying, "Mr. Brown indeed has taste. I went through quite a bit to get this—it was mainly for show." Inside, his respect for Jas grew; although the wine was good, to distinguish its authenticity with one sip requires significant sophistication, further showing Jas isn’t simple.
Jas said to Alice and Jennifer, "Here, try it; Raphael wine is readily available if you’ve money, but genuine ’82 Raphael isn’t sothing money alone can buy."
Alice and Jennifer quickly started savoring it as well.
Brother Bob kept observing Jas, Alice, and Jennifer, noticing the two sitting on either side of Jas rather than together, clearly centering around him. From their gazes and obedient deanor towards Jas, he felt they both might even be Jas’s won.
After taking two sips of wine, Jas said, "Brother Bob, just speak your mind; they’re my won, not outsiders."
Alice and Jennifer were incredibly excited; Jas actually acknowledged their relationship so openly, which was more moving than any sweet words said privately. If Brother Bob wasn’t there, they really would have leapt into Jas’s arms for kisses.
Brother Bob laughed heartily, saying, "Mr. Brown is truly impressive, so I’ll get straight to it. A few days ago, Mr. Johnson’s son Robert Goodman sought out, wanting to deal with you."
"Oh? By telling this, Brother Bob doesn’t want to deal with , does he?" Jas asked while swirling his wine glass, smiling.
eting Jas’s eyes, Brother Bob slowly said, "Exactly, Blackjack crossed you and was quickly taken down—I, Little Tiger, know I can’t afford to cross you."
"By doing this, aren’t you betraying Robert Goodman?" Jas asked again with a smile.
Brother Bob shook his head, saying, "My connection with Robert Goodman is rely one of convenience; he’s not my friend. He doesn’t know his limits and wants to antagonize you, Mr. Brown, so he’s seeking his own downfall. I still plan to live comfortably for so ti."
Jas laughed heartily, saying, "Brother Bob thinks I’m that difficult?"
Now Brother Bob wore a smile, saying, "Having been around for so many years, my Vision Level’s not bad. Although I can’t gauge your full strength, Mr. Brown, you’re not as simple as you appear. I truly hope to be friends with you."
Jas took another sip of wine, saying, "I, Jas Brown, don’t make friends for profit. If Brother Bob seeks contact, then calling it friendship is false."
Brother Bob’s lips twitched slightly; if anyone else said that, he’d act already. But coming from Jas, while a bit belittling, doesn’t really bother him; instead, it underscores Jas’s strength. He’s not even qualified to be Jas’s friend.
"Mr. Brown, I know I’m not worthy of friendship, but in YODC City, I’m sowhat established. If there’s anything inconvenient for you, just leave it to ."
Staring at Brother Bob, Jas asked, "And what benefit are you seeking from ?"
Brother Bob laughed heartily, saying, "If possible, I hope Mr. Brown could ensure my safety."
Jas took out a cigarette; Alice imdiately lit it for him, gazing intently. At this point, the appeal Jas had was imnse—a criminal overlord seeking safety from him spoke volus about his power.
"Alright, as long as you’re not committing cris, I’ll make sure you’re not caught. Whatever trouble you get yourself into, that’s beyond my concern."
Overjoyed upon hearing this, Brother Bob wanted precisely these words. In the past, he committed many illegal acts and, though he’s conducted legitimate business lately, he couldn’t guarantee not being investigated. Delving into past misconduct surely wouldn’t end well for him.
Leaning in subconsciously, he spoke even more respectfully, "Mr. Brown, with your assurance, that’s enough for . Regardless of what arises, at your command, I, Little Tiger, am at your service."
Jas smiled faintly, saying, "Not necessary. I just need you to be my intelligence source. If anyone intends to confront my family, alert in advance."
Brother Bob imdiately assured him, "Absolutely no problem. I’ll ensure 24-hour protection over your family, no matter what happens. Not a single fool would disturb them."
Rolling his eyes, Jas said, "Not necessary; if you do that, they might think they’re being watched by bad guys."
"So, how should I proceed?" For real, Brother Bob seed bewildered now.
Jas gestured dismissively, saying, "Nothing for you to do yet. When needed, I’ll send soone to contact you, then follow their instructions. Rest assured, I won’t involve you in dangerous or detrintal tasks."
Brother Bob awkwardly laughed, saying, "Alright, alright. But about Robert Goodman, how does Mr. Brown plan to deal with him? He’s currently awaiting my response."
Jas squinted slightly, saying, "Tell him you’ll act tomorrow night."
Brother Bob’s eyes lit up, saying, "Alright, alright." Though uncertain how Jas would handle Robert, his mind was set on impressing during their first collaboration. Anyone who easily handled Blackjack is incomparable to Robert Goodman.
For individuals like Robert Goodman, though Jas generally doesn’t stoop to their level, they’re persistent troublemakers unless sowhat dealt with, using all sorts of ans. Concerning such individuals, Jas couldn’t disregard it; otherwise, Gina Lopez’s safety would greatly be compromised.
