After Emily Berns finished singing, she stepped back, while the newlyweds Sarah Johnson and the male character, along with their bridesmaid and groomsman, ca over for a toast. John Brown quietly told Sarah Utah that he had to leave first.

Sarah Utah saw Emily Berns and knew John Brown would definitely leave first. She smiled at John and said it was alright. She was well aware of the relationship between Emily and John, and John had been with her from yesterday until now, which was the happiest day since they started dating, and that was enough for her.

John Brown left the hotel and soon received a call from Emily Berns. He walked around to the hotel’s entrance, where he t Emily, who was wrapped up tightly. Seeing her like this, John couldn’t help but chuckle, as she looked like a big wrapped dumpling.

"What are you laughing at?" Emily Berns faced John and glared at him.

John laughed and said, "You used to be so bold, doing whatever you wanted. Now, look at you, being so cautious when going out. Aren’t you tired?"

"I like it this way." Emily cast a glance at John and reached out to hail a taxi.

In the car, John and Emily didn’t say much. Dressed as she was, the driver kept sneaking glances at Emily, probably thinking she was secretly eting a lover behind her husband’s back. Why else would she dress like this?

Soon, they arrived at John’s ho. Gina Lopez had already been inford of Emily’s visit by John and was not surprised. Although Gina had a lot of hostility towards Emily, she recognized that Emily was Little Violet’s mother, and coming to see her child was entirely normal. She simply couldn’t stop it, so she agreed.

Emily arrived and didn’t interact much with Gina. Instead, she darted over to Little Violet, pulling the scarf off her face, and excitedly exclaid, "Violet, did you miss mommy?"

"Godmother!" Little Violet cheered and threw herself into Emily’s arms, tightly hugging her neck and giving her a big kiss on the cheek. She pouted and said, "Why didn’t you co to see Violet, Godmother?"

"Godmother has been really busy lately, so I haven’t been able to see you. From now on, I’ll co visit you regularly, okay?"

"Okay, okay!" Little Violet laughed gleefully, then looked behind Emily and asked, "Why didn’t Daddy and Mommy co?"

John and Gina imdiately thought this was trouble. Little Violet had started to see John and Gina as her parents, but in her heart, she always rembered the couple who originally took care of her as her parents. Yet, being young and having John and Gina treat her well, she didn’t miss them as much. Seeing Emily now reminded her of her original parents.

Emily quickly said, "They are very busy and still working outside. Once they’re finished, they’ll co to see you."

"Oh, do they not want anymore?" Little Violet’s eyes started to turn red.

"How could they not want Violet, when she’s so good? Look, Godmother brought you sothing!" Emily quickly took out the gift she bought for her daughter.

"Yay, such a beautiful Barbie doll." The little girl, seeing the toy Emily brought, imdiately shouted with excitent.

Emily smiled and said, "Isn’t Godmother the best?"

"Godmother is the best!" With a new toy, the little girl quickly forgot about missing her parents and gave Emily a kiss before running off to the bedroom with her toy.

Emily wanted to follow her daughter inside but stopped after taking a step. She would be staying in YODC City more often now, which ant more opportunities to see her daughter, so she wasn’t in a rush to play with her right away.

"Have a seat." Gina smiled and gestured for her to sit.

Emily sat on the sofa and glanced around John’s house, saying, "Your house seems a bit small."

John imdiately replied, "We wanted Violet to have a sense of ho, so we didn’t buy a big house. This way, we can all interact more easily."

Emily noticed the small size of the house and initially felt dissatisfied, thinking there wasn’t enough space for her daughter, not even a room for toys. But hearing John’s reasoning, she thought it made so sense.

Gina chid in, "We want Little Violet to grow up happily, to feel like she’s just like other children, so her emotional health stays balanced."

Emily nodded and said, "I hadn’t thought about it like that before; I wasn’t sure if this was the best approach. But I believe with her real father’s care, she won’t be mistreated. I’ve often called Little Violet, and at first, she would spend more ti talking, but over ti she started speaking less, which made feel distant from her."

Initially, Emily thought Gina might be badmouthing her to her daughter, but noticing Little Violet’s growing happiness, she realized her daughter must have adapted to life with John. This realization gave her a strong sense of urgency, fearing her daughter might eventually forget her. No matter how busy she was, she rushed over for her daughter’s sake. Even with John, who was now married, making a relationship between them difficult, she couldn’t afford to lose her daughter.

Gina picked up on Emily’s underlying aning and continued smiling, saying, "Of course not. Since I’m Jas’s wife, and Violet is his daughter, she’s my daughter too. I always treat her like my biological daughter."

If this had been the old Emily, she would’ve said, "The daughter is mine, not yours." But now, with her daughter living here, she didn’t want her to suffer any grievances, so Gina’s attitude was crucial. With a secret sigh, Emily smiled back at Gina and said, "Gina, thank you so much. I’m really grateful for you being this way."

Gina smiled and said, "No need to thank . I’m also Violet’s mother. I know you’ve been worried I’d mistreat Violet. Now that you’ve seen for yourself, you should know how I treat her. Even if I have my own children in the future, I’ll still treat Violet well. Besides, due to work, I won’t be having kids anyti soon, so there’s absolutely no problem with how I treat Violet."

Hearing this, Emily felt sowhat unhappy. Gina’s words sounded like she wanted Emily to visit her daughter less. But on second thought, perhaps Gina was worried she’d get back together with John. It seed their relationship wasn’t as unbreakable as it appeared.
