When John Brown and Gina Lopez were shopping together, they unexpectedly ran into Robert Johnson once. At that ti, Gina had already introduced John Brown as her husband, yet Robert was still pursuing Gina, which was clearly disregarding him, and even a form of provocation.
If Robert Johnson was just soone who was very arrogant and thought he was far superior to John Brown, it wouldn’t matter. However, John Brown felt this guy wasn’t the type to be very flamboyant, but he was now doing sothing flamboyant, indicating sothing unusual was going on.
If John Brown directly went to find Gina Lopez now, it might make Gina feel uneasy. With security guards starting to spread this matter, many people in the company would likely know, and going up now would clearly indicate that he was questioning Gina.
Before getting married, John Brown believed that once a couple is together, they should provide enough trust to the wife, otherwise it would be better not to marry. Now he was even more adamant about not going to Gina Lopez.
Half an hour later, Robert Johnson appeared in the lobby on the first floor, and John Brown could spot him imdiately. Robert was dressed in a perfectly fitted suit and had the sa gentle and refined deanor, with a charming smile on his face that would indeed make him an ideal Prince for ordinary girls.
Robert walked all the way to the front entrance but turned to glance at the security office on John Brown’s side before turning around and leaving again.
John Brown squinted his eyes slightly, feeling sowhat intrigued. This Robert Johnson seed actually quite complex, and if he was interested in playing so ga, John wouldn’t mind at all.
Soon it was lunchti. John Brown ate with so of the security guards. Previously, he always sat together with Gina and others, but now during lunch, Gina would discuss matters with so of the company’s main personnel. As the company’s Security Departnt Manager, he wasn’t very interested in these matters, so casually chatting with the security guards felt much more comfortable.
However, after lunch, Gina still called John Brown to her office, and Sunny Nguyen was also there. A large bouquet of bright red roses was placed in a vase on the windowsill.
As John Brown entered, Sunny grinned and said, "Hey, John Brown, did you see these roses? You’re in trouble now."
Gina imdiately scolded, "Sister Sunny, you’re stirring up trouble between us."
Sunny giggled and said, "This guy never lets you rest easy; he should be made anxious. Otherwise, it’s too easy for him. He needs to know that not everyone revolves around him. Our Gina, such a beauty, has plenty of pursuers."
John Brown walked over to the windowsill, leaned in and slled the roses, "Not bad, really authentic roses, not those common ones found everywhere. The scent is nice."
Sunny chuckled lightly and said, "Robert Johnson is quite young and wealthy, whatever roses he sends won’t be bad."
John Brown nodded and said, "Indeed, they’re nice. But just sending roses, this guy is too stingy. He should send so diamonds and such occasionally. That’s how he’d show his generosity. Our Gina won’t be won over by just a few bouquets of roses. Truly belittling my wife."
Gina glanced at John Brown and said, "But you haven’t even sent any roses. Aren’t you embarrassed to say that?"
John Brown let out an awkward laugh and said, "True. But I gave myself to you, isn’t that much more practical than what that guy can offer?"
Gina’s face turned slightly red, and she teased him, "Oh, stop that, you never say anything serious. How are you feeling? Why did you quietly co back to work? Weren’t you recuperating with Lucy Campbell?"
John Brown laughed, "I’m fine, just so scabs on my leg. They’ll be healed in a couple of days."
Seeing John Brown in good spirits, Gina wasn’t worried anymore. Since Lucy Campbell agreed to take care of John Brown, if John still had issues, Lucy definitely wouldn’t have let him return. At this ti, Gina said, "Jas, Robert Johnson has been wanting to discuss a cooperation project with our company these days. I think it could be very beneficial for our company, and I’m quite intrigued. But since he’s constantly sending flowers and such, I’m worried you’ll be concerned, so I wanted to discuss it with you."
John Brown imdiately asked, "What project does he want to cooperate with our company on?"
Gina replied, "He wants to beco our company’s general agent in SE Asia. He has developed quite well there, and if we let him be an agent, it’s like directly opening the SE Asia market without any investnt, which greatly attracts ."
John Brown squinted his eyes and said, "It seems that our product hasn’t been fully put into production yet, and we’re already starting to expand into the overseas market?"
Gina patiently explained, "This product itself is a patented product, sothing never seen in the market before. The market expectations are good. Once it goes into production, we need to quickly capture the market so that other manufacturers don’t imitate us. It’s beneficial for our company to tackle both dostic and overseas markets simultaneously. You should know that there are a lot of fakes nowadays, especially in SSUP Country; even if Lucy tries to stop the counterfeiting, it can’t possibly be stopped unless the entire nation cracks down on it together. That’s why I’m really focused on the overseas market."
John Brown tapped his fingers lightly and said, "There’s nothing wrong with your thinking."
Sunny Nguyen chuckled softly and said, "The main issue now is that our collaborator is Robert Johnson, and it’s obvious he has feelings for Gina. Every ti he cos, he brings a large bouquet of roses."
John Brown squinted his eyes again, while Gina hurriedly said, "Husband, I’ve told him several tis already, but he still does whatever he wants. I really can’t help it. I should probably just ignore him, but for the sake of the company’s interests, I can’t just turn against him directly."
John Brown smiled slightly and said, "Honey, don’t I have that little bit of confidence in myself? If soone is trying to pursue you, that just shows I have good taste, right? Just go ahead and do your thing. But if Robert Johnson wants to take you out, then I’d have to go with you."
Gina, seeing John Brown’s sincere words, felt very happy inside and smiled: "Don’t worry, I wouldn’t just go out with soone casually."
Sunny Nguyen stood up at this mont and said, "Alright, the official matters are done, the rest is just between you two lovebirds. I’d be an eyesore here, so I’ll let you talk. I’m leaving."
"Sister Sunny!" Gina quickly called out, holding Sunny Nguyen’s hand, and said, "Sister Sunny, I... I really feel sorry for you. I had promised you sothing, but I haven’t fulfilled my promise yet." Her face showed an apologetic expression.
Sunny Nguyen held Gina’s hand back and sincerely said, "Gina, I’m already very pleased that you can still be friends with . Really, I’m so impressed by your magnanimity. If this guy were my husband and he always hung out with won he used to bullshit with, I wouldn’t stand it. You didn’t kick out of the company, how could I still hold grudges against you? As I told you before, your thoughts back then were understandable because you hadn’t truly gotten married or had the mindset of being soone’s wife."
Although the two didn’t explicitly say it, John Brown fully understood what they were talking about. Before Gina married him, she had once told Sunny Nguyen that after she got married to John, she would still let Sunny Nguyen maintain a relationship with John and would even actively let John go to Sunny Nguyen.
In the beginning, Gina did it, but as her feelings for John Brown deepened, she could no longer bring herself to suggest such things. Being soone who values promises, Gina felt quite guilty towards Sunny Nguyen for not fulfilling her promise.
"Sister Sunny, I..." Gina tightly grasped Sunny Nguyen’s hand and said, "Sister Sunny, actually, I’m not really that petty. With all those won surrounding this guy, how could I stop just you two? If I had to stop anyone, it should be the others."
Sunny Nguyen laughed, "I didn’t say you were stopping, but rather that I don’t want to be with this guy anymore."
Gina pursed her lips, then suddenly leaned in to whisper in Sunny Nguyen’s ear but turned to John Brown and said, "Husband, Sister Sunny and I have so private matters to discuss, you should head back first."
John Brown readily agreed and then walked out. He was curious about what they wanted to say, but since Gina didn’t want him to hear, he respected Gina, his wife.
Gina then pulled Sunny Nguyen down to sit on the sofa and said, "Sister Sunny, I’ve been thinking over the past few days, and I always feel that it’s really hard for to make John cut off relationships with others. I truly am fighting alone. If I try to pull any alliance, they will beco my greatest enemy in the future. No matter what others say, they’re all my rivals, and you are my good sister; only you can beco my ally. So, I still hope you can help and not withdraw at this ti."
Sunny Nguyen also felt Gina’s sincerity and earnestly said, "Gina, I’m really touched that you trust like this, but I’m afraid I can’t do much in this matter. As a divorced woman, I can’t possibly compare with those won."
Gina hurriedly said, "Sister Sunny, don’t belittle yourself; haven’t you seen how the n in the company look at you? Your attraction isn’t any less than others. What I hope for the most now is that the ti John spends with those people is spent with you instead, that would indeed make things much better."
Sunny Nguyen hesitated for a while, then nodded and said, "I’ll try my best."
But in her heart, she felt sowhat guilty towards Gina, because although she promised Gina, she still had her own selfish motives, which was to still be able to be with John Brown. Previously, she feared it would affect Gina and her relationship, but if it didn’t affect their relationship and she could maintain ties with John Brown, then that would of course be the best.
